In the World Series the American team beat the Canadian team thanks to an immigrant laborer who is not a citizen. this proves that Donald Trump was right all along.

And the Canadian team has 52 of 53 players who are immigrants too! That must mean something very politically important also, to certain commenters.

About the World Series... I've read numerous comments around the intertubes complaining about the Dodgers attempting to buy a championship.

MLB hasn't had a back-to-back champion for a quarter of a century and the National League hasn't had one for half a century. Meanwhile, in the NHL which has a salary cap, there have been three back-to-back Stanley Cup winners in the last ten years. Why is it easier to go back-to-back with more equitable payrolls? Shouldn't it be harder? Maybe it takes more than money?

P.S. I read elsewhere that the Dodgers weren't the highest spending team this year. That honor goes to the Mets. They didn't make it to the playoffs.

Quick question: Are the ball players here as legal immigrants, or illegal immigrants? If the former, the yes, quite correct ! It does help prove Trump is right about immigration.

The Astros have lots of immigrant players. Some are from Cuba. Others are from Venezuela. They came here legally, which shouldn’t be the extraordinary way to immigrate to a country.

So Scott Adams will receive Pluvicto after an IV, scheduled 11/4, for his metastasized prostate cancer with Trump's help, but Joe Biden, who has the same stage-four cancer, gets no help?

Biden was on chemotherapy and then upgraded to include aggressive radiation treatments, but Pluvicto, a targeted radioactive medicine, has never been mentioned.

You can find a nice red place where you won't have to worry over trannies in the bathrooms and faggots in your lineage... Go west and get the fuck away from the blue area people you hate? Plenty of lily white gated communities where the immigrants, blacks and queers won't bother you...

Poetic justice. You tell us if his desperate public plea got him into a All white place where he doesn't have to spend ithe end of his days worrying Others will treat him the way he treated them...

Meanwhile, ann is on the hunt for an all white townhouse to downsize in before the Hate gets to her frail boomer body too. Run to the red states, Boomers... Run run! I saw a commercial for the new Jurassic Park movie last night and it caused me to make a connection with New York City's upcoming mayoral election, specifically the high likelihood that Zohran Mamdani will be elected as the city's first "Democratic Socialist" mayor and implement far-left policies. Both the Jurassic Park movies and Mamdani have the same hubristic message: "This time, we'll get it right." This time, we won't have a bunch of people being killed by dinosaurs who have no business being here in the first place. This time, communism (under the rubric of "Democratic Socialism") will work and we won't have a high body count like they did in all of those other places. This time, it will work!

Fifty years ago almost precisely, the City of New York faced bankruptcy and was demanding (not “pleading for” or even “asking for”) as federal bailout. President Ford noted all the freebies its government gave to its residents, things no other city gave away to its people, and announced that he’d veto the proposed bailout.

The New York Times summed it up in a famous headline: “Ford to New York: Drop Dead.”

The bankruptcy is coming, and the headline will be needed once again.

President Trump on ICE raids:
CBS: More recently, Americans have been watching videos of ICE tackling a young mother, tear gas being used in a Chicago residential neighborhood, and the smashing of car windows. Have some of these raids gone too far?
TRUMP: No, I think they haven't gone far enough, because we've been held back by the judges, by the liberal judges that were put in by Biden and by Obama.
CBS: You're okay with those tactics?
TRUMP: Yeah, because you have to get the people out. You know, you have to look at the people. Many of them are murderers. Many of them are people that were thrown out of their countries because they were, you know, criminals.
CBS: Well you promised in your campaign that you were going to deport the worst of the worst: violent criminals, rapists—
TRUMP: That's what we're doing, though.
CBS: But a lot of the people that your administration has arrested and deported aren't violent criminals. Landscapers, nannies, construction workers, farm workers—
TRUMP: Landscapers are criminals? Now look, look—
CBS: The family of U.S. service members—
TRUMP: I need landscapers and I need farmers more than anybody, okay?
CBS: Is it your intent to deport people who do not have a criminal record?
TRUMP: We have to start off with a policy. And the policy has to be you came into the country illegally, you're going to go out. However, you've also seen, you're going to go out, we're going to work with you, and you're going to come back into our country legally.

What’s missing here is that many immigrants deported or targeted under Trump were not “illegal” entrants in the first place. A large number were people who had lawful presence in the U.S. — meaning they were here legally prior to Trump’s executive orders and had their status revoked or reclassified under.

Notice to all in country illegally: Report to ??? within 30 days and accept $2,000 per person and passage to home/other country. Those desiring citizenship may apply and be evaluated and return to US when approved.

If requesting asylum, accept transfer to, say, refurbished facilities at Shemya Air Base in the Aleutians pending review of case.

At the end of the 30 period, pay any citizen a bounty of $1,000 for each illegal, detained and turned-in, unharmed, to immigration athorities.

Ronald J. Ward said...

Rusty, only the most gullible of the goobers believe this is about removing hardened criminals. But yes, I’ve actually asked “why” a lot — not just about the policy, but the pattern behind it. When someone consistently portrays certain people as criminals, animals, or threats, it stops being about law enforcement and starts looking like something else.

Trump has a long record of glorifying violence when it’s directed at those he’s labeled “not like him.” From “punch them in the face,” to telling police cadets “don’t be too nice,” to defending the jailing of the wrongfully accused Central Park Five even after DNA cleared them — the through-line isn’t justice, it’s cruelty framed as strength.

So when he insists that landscapers, nannies, and farmworkers are somehow the same as murderers, I don’t think that’s by accident. It’s part of a worldview where certain groups are already judged guilty, and harshness becomes their “deserved” treatment.

What do you think, law and order or a moral verdict disguised as policy?

Breezy said...

“A large number were people who had lawful presence in the U.S.“

There are over a million who have deportation orders already but have not left. Not convicted criminals, perhaps, but here illegally after their asylum cases were adjudicated.

Anyone unvetted, which is most of them by far, needs to leave and try to come back legally.

Plus, the concern about US citizens being caught up in these deportation processes for a few hours is ridiculous. People are citing there are 170 of them. That is peanuts compared to the number of US citizens who are raped, robbed, trafficked, murdered, deprioritized in their communities, etc. It’s too bad some have gone through the mistaken collection, if true, but it’s better and more short-lived than being the victim of an illegal alien.

Ronald J. Ward said...

Breezy, what’s really happening here is that Trump has convinced a lot of people that “brown men breaking our laws” is such an urgent emergency that due process no longer matters. That’s not new — he’s been testing that idea for years. Remember the Central Park 5? Even after DNA evidence proved those kids innocent, Trump still demanded they be punished. It wasn’t about justice then, and it isn’t now.

This “border emergency” didn’t arise in a vacuum, and it isn’t the result of some wave of foreign prisoners Biden supposedly released. It’s a political narrative — one that trades fear for compassion, and punishment for fairness. Once we accept that it’s okay to cut corners on due process for some people, it’s not long before the same principle gets applied to others.
Law and order only mean something if they apply to everyone — not just the people a politician decides deserve it.

It’s not about due process anymore. The Left wants to make it about endless due process. It’s not over until they win.

Ronald J. Ward said...

Jersey, due process isn’t “endless”; it’s the line between justice and punishing innocent people — skipping it isn’t enforcement, it’s cruelty.

Yes. So-called "refugees" from countries mostly not at war, and mostly young men of military age rather than the children and women and old men we usually think of as refugees.

They were flown here at our expense by the Biden regime, put up in fancy hotels at our expense by the Biden regime, and granted asylum by the Biden regime at rates that vastly, staggeringly, stupendously exceed any previous administration.

This was done for one reason only: The Democrat party is demographically doomed. Its Grand Guignol show of trannies, homosexuals, purple-haired cat ladies, barren careerist girl-boss feminists, climate-panic Club of Rome anti-natalists, and 5-abortion ghetto rats is reproducing itself at little more than half the rate of conservative voters.

The Democrats have lost the white working class forever. Everyone knows this lawless granting of asylum to anyone from anywhere is meant to facilitate electoral fraud in the short term and replacement of the American electorate in the long term. You know it too.

Democrats cannot hold power if people are prosperous and satisfied and cohesive. They only appeal to the electorate when people are poor, ignorant, fearful, angry, divided and dependent on Big Nanny Government. They don't want to solve any real problems, they want to magnify them in their crazed lust for power. They would rather rule over a mob of starving, warring tribes that scramble and fight for bits of candy strewn from the government pinata than do anything to make life easier for the people who already live here and built this country.

These scum are not our fellow citizens any more. They are our very worst enemies. They can never be permitted to hold power again. If they ever manage to get back in and restart the white-replacement gravy train of foreign invaders, it will be time for open warfare and another Revolution.

Hassayamper said...

Jersey, due process isn’t “endless”; it’s the line between justice and punishing innocent people — skipping it isn’t enforcement, it’s cruelty.

Final Deportation Orders are the endpoint of due process, not the beginning. Any illegal invader who manages to skip out and hide after receiving one should be put on the very next plane home after they are caught, and any left-wing district judge trying to prevent this completion of due process should be told to shove their restraining orders up their ass.

Mason G said...

"Final Deportation Orders are the endpoint of due process, not the beginning."

For the left, "due process" is obtaining the result the left desires. Until that point in time, the process is (according to the left) not complete.

Ronald J. Ward said...

Not so Gospace. The DNA evidence matched only one person — Matias Reyes — who later confessed in detail and said the Central Park Five had no part in it. His account matched the crime scene, and the Manhattan DA’s office fully vacated the convictions. Every bit of physical evidence supported Reyes as the sole attacker.

Trump couldn’t let go of that reality and continued to claim they were guilty after the DA and the NYPD confirmed their exoneration, which says more about him than about the case. It’s also indicative of Trump’s hatred of Brown people who’ve lived here legally for years.
