Andy Windsor is no longer a prince, and he has been evicted from his fancy rent-free mansion by his big brother. His ex, who he has been shacking up with for the past ten years, has also been cast out. So now Fergy has to find some digs, although her two daughters still have their titles and might be able to put her up.

john mosby said...

So King Charles has revoked all titles from Prince Andrew, including ‘Prince,’ ‘Duke,’ ‘The,’ and ‘of.’

I think no one remembers one of the main reasons for ennobling the younger sons of the monarch: it keeps them from running for office.

If Andy is just Mr Windsor now, he should say “fuck you fuckers, I’m running for Parliament. And if I lose that, I’ll run for town council. Or I’ll move to some sexist Commonwealth country and run for office there. How’d you like to see me as Prime Minister of Barbados? And oh by the way, if I’m to lose all my taxpayer funded perks, guess I’ll auction myself off to the highest bidder. How’d you like to see me doing ads for Lukoil? Or Ali Baba?”

Yeah, I don’t think anyone has thought this through. If he really is the dishonorable POS they say he is, they are really depending on him to follow the unwritten rules like an honorable non-POS. CC, JSM

"Words like that are almost treasonous!!! I worked really hard, 24/7, took in Trillions of Dollars, and Chuck Schumer said trip was 'a total dud,' even though he knows it was a spectacular success".

So Trump thinks it’s almost treasonous to criticize him? This is the behavior of an autocrat.

Then China responds by restricting rare earth exports to the US and stops buying or reducing overall US agricultural imports, including soybeans, beef, pork, wheat, corn, and sorghum, in retaliation for US tariffs. Then Trump announces a backtracking and China eases off on countermeasures.

So what exactly has been accomplished and why is Trump crowing about reverting back to square one?

For example, there's the Louise Lasser show from 1976. Does anyone remember her? Anyway, she refused to do any sketches with any of the cast members except chevy chase. And so Lasser does a boring 6 minute opening monlogue. A boring 10 minute talk to audience at the end, an 8 minute film (written and starring herself), and a 4 minute sketch with a dog!

Even her sketch with chase involves no dialogue. Its a film by Weiss and she and Chase just stare at each other while the narration scrolls by on the screen for 3 minutes.

I been watching TV all my life, and never seen anything so bad.

Rusty, Gemini AI Says:

Specific downsides and impacts include:
Reduced Exports to the US: US tariffs have made many Chinese products less competitive, leading to a significant drop in the volume of goods shipped from China to the US. For instance, in the first eight months of 2025, exports to the US shrank by 15.5%.
Economic Slowdown: The tariffs contribute to China's domestic economic challenges, which include a prolonged property downturn, deflation, and dampened consumer confidence. Goldman Sachs estimated that sustained tariffs could reduce China's real GDP by 2.6 percentage points, with most of that impact felt in 2025.
Trade Diversion and Supply Chain Adjustments: Chinese companies and global supply chains have had to adjust to the tariffs, with businesses seeking alternative sourcing options in countries like Mexico, India, and other Southeast Asian nations.
Concessions in Negotiations: To secure a recent trade truce and avoid further tariff escalation (such as a 100% tariff threat), China had to make specific concessions. These included:
Agreeing to resume large purchases of American agricultural products, specifically soybeans.
Suspending its own recently imposed export controls on critical rare earth minerals and related technology.
Committing to greater cooperation in cracking down on the export of fentanyl precursor chemicals to the US.
Suspending retaliatory port fees on US-linked ships.
Ongoing Uncertainty: Despite the recent truce, the underlying structural rivalry and the risk of renewed friction persist, creating a prolonged period of strategic uncertainty for Chinese businesses and policymakers.

Howard said...

So for all of the hardball trade negotiations with China, Trump's team was able to restrict access to our markets by 15 to 16% and eliminate port fees for us flagged ships.
