To be fair, government employees want to be paid, thus their unions’ support for reopening the government. And Teamsters have, in recent years been one of the least progressive unions out there, pointedly not supporting Harris in the last election.
Besides, one of the largest traditional constituencies in the Teamsters Union are truck drivers. And one of the current scandals on the news are all of the aliens now on the roads across this country driving trucks, killing people.
