Serious question - did Trump ever actually promise to release the Epstein files? Everyone works on that assumption, but I don't recall Trump himself making any such commitment, and cannot find any record of it on-line.
Second serious question - does anyone believe that the FBI, which was headed by James Comey at the relevant times, would have retained a client list if one had actually been found? Particularly given who was likely to be on said hypothetical list?

Maxwell is in jail or prison for trafficking underaged women to Epstein. Still, Trump isn't handling this well. My guess is that Epstein's links to foreign and domestic intelligence agencies and financiers are too big for this to be revealed now.
Wexler, Bronfman, and Maxwell Sr. all had close connections to the Israeli government, and in the beginning Epstein had closer ties to them than to US officials, so Mossad might be a place to start looking.
Epstein's relationship with Adnan Khashoggi suggests a possible Iran-Contra connection. It's hard to believe that the CIA wasn't keeping tabs on Epstein and wanting a piece of whatever his action was. Once you start digging, though, it's easy to fall into a hole of endless conspiracies.

Calling it the Jeffrey Epstein Hoax isn’t going to work. If it were a hoax, Trump would release the information and debunk it. “Hoax” was a great brand for Trump, but now he’s ruined it, which should make more people wonder about his other so-called hoaxes.
The question is not whether an Epstein client list exists in already-written form but whether one can be compiled from the information in the files. And then the next question is whether that information is enough for further investigation and prosecution.
If it is true that the Biden administration stuffed the Epstein files full of stuff unflattering to Trump knowing that he was promising to release those files if he won the election, that was some very good work. I don’t believe it though.
Trump sounds guilty as hell, but I doubt that Trump is personally implicated in the files, beyond what we already know. I so suspect that a number of members of his Mar-a-Lago Club are implicated. Perhaps the club itself was a center for the Epstein Lolita enterprises.

Not sure if that's aimed at me, but I will say what I've said many times before, I know. The difference is that our government is breaking its own law sending money to Israel - a country we know to have massive domestic influence here - while Israel is an unacknowledged nuclear-armed nation. It's right there in the Arms Export Control Act (AECA) and the Glenn Amendment to the Arms Export Control Act or 1994.
Now if I was a country that was literally dependent on another country for my very survival and I needed that support to continue in spite of my sugar-daddy's own laws, what would I do to ensure that support and funding are never-ending? Trump hedged on releasing the Epstein files last year. In an interview with Rachel Campos Duffy in June 2024 he said he would release 9/11 files and JFK files but was not as definitive about the Epstein files.
Of note, Fox News edited out his full interview.
FOX showed this: “Would you declassify the Epstein files?” In that airing, Trump replied, “Yeah, I would,” and the segment ended.
His full response was: “I guess I would. I think that less so because, you don’t know, you don’t want to affect people’s lives if it’s phony stuff in there, because it’s a lot of phony stuff with that whole world. But I think I would,” Trump said.
I'm not sure what ‘phony stuff’ means if it’s an FBI file? Unless he means Biden's FBI? However, that then brings up the question; What if Trump is on the list? Is it automatically phony then? Quickly we are into politics.
In September 2024 on a Lex Fridman podcast he said:
“Yeah, it’s very interesting, isn’t it?” Trump responded when Fridman described it as “very strange” that a complete list of Epstein’s “clients” that visited his Little St. James island in the Caribbean has not been made public.

So, in both cases he seems aware of an Epstein file. Now, he says it’s a hoax and people are 'weaklings' if they believe it.
Maybe there was never an Epstein list and the file is insubstantial but at this point it has reached the level of conspiracy theory. Will anyone on the left or right be pleased with a release of any files? I'd say no at this point. It's a political football.
