Every day, multiple glossy anti-Schimel cards come in the mail. I photographed the latest bunch:
The quotes in the post title — to be found on the cards — ask us what we think. The facts are hazy, but threatening and sexual, and we're nudged to angst and ideate? This, in a city where an awful lot of people are cranking each other up about politics.

I don't know what judges do in Wisconsin, but in Harris County, you can count on the Democrat Judges to let even cop killers out on bail while they wait trial. There are so many stories, you don't need to put a random "Rachel" as name to pretend quoting.
Do democrats ever talk about issues anymore? Is it all smear tactics? I do not see a single positive message about the candidate. In fact I don't even see the candidates name anywhere.
The American Forest and Paper Association and the USPS thank you for your support and home address. The arc of electoral justice bends toward their survival. I think I'll have a bit of Irish whisky on some good ice.
I've received two handwritten "be sure to vote!" postcards from "Susan" and "Sandra", two volunteers for the Crawford campaign. Except I live in New Jersey, and have never lived in Wisconsin. My wife gets texts every day (her phone is billed under my name), allegedly from "Myvote.wi.gov" encouraging me to vote.
But I've been assured vote fraud doesn't exist, so I'm sure there's a completely innocent explanation.
@Dude, who axed: "Do democrats ever talk about issues anymore?"
At least one of those cards DOES talk about two issues that should concern you. It claims that Schimel cut a plea deal with a man charged with possession of child pornography ("after his attorney contributed to Schimel's campaign.")
Let's talk about the two issues I see here:
1) They let attorneys bribe judges in Wisconsin. That's all these alleged campaign contributions are ... thinly-veiled bribes to get favorable treatment. Democrats are all for this sort of corruption.
2) And secondly, Brad didn't shoot the child porn possessor in his head, right between the eyes, which he is supposed to do and which any man in their right mind would do given the opportunity to do so.
The question for Wisconsin voters is whether the Democrat candidate would or would not shoot the child porn possessor in their head, right between the eyes. And we all know they would not, so the election has to be decided on other issues.
This kind of politicking really, really turns me off. I've always assumed they "must know what they're doing", but have a hard time imagining the voter, who already isn't on their side, who responds positively to this shit.
Funny how DemoncRATs cannot let on what they believe when they're running-because they'd lose. So they attack Republicans in any way they possibly can, using scare tactics. On either a local, state, or national scale. Trump was very straightforward in what he was going to do. And people voted for him because of that. And none of us are having second thoughts about what he's doing- despite all the gaslighting going on. I half expect the facility where I work at to be closed before the end of Trump's term. It's been on the chopping block before. Saved from closure by backroom deals and horse trading, not because it's essential. The only federal lands that should stay in federal hands if not needed right no at this moment are military bases and forts. Close them but leave a small force of dedicated caretakes for the infrastructure. It would be difficult to amass the land needed to recreate a Fort Hood or Fort Drum that had been built over and repopulated with civilians.
Brad Schimel goes easy domestic abusers? Schimel is corrupt? Those are things properly associated with Crawford. More projection no doubt.
In Massachusetts right before elections we used to get the threatening ones that had your name and when you voted in which primary. They usually had some reference to a thuggish union and something to the effect of nice family you got there. Maybe WI thugs are too polite…then again it’s Elon we’re talking about!
Is "awful" in the last sentence modifying "lot" or "people"?
The leftie strategists determined weeks ago the narrative would be a slow erosion of Trump’s popularity. That’s why those polls showing is big approval ratings came from leftie propaganda media. They’re doing the town hall thing where ‘the public’ is demanding the cuts in graft and corruption need to stop. Now. A few weeks from now they’ll be fired up at Trump’s sagging approval….🥱
It's no surprise that Trump and Musk are on the ballot in Wisconsin They are also at the top of the ballot in Canada.
Innocent question: Are they all really so one-sided, all so anti-Schimel? Is the Schimel campaign really taking a high road approach here? If it was, it would have my vote almost automatically.
Last local election, a couple of candidates actually came by, up to the house as I was working outside, struck up a conversation, asked me for my vote, told me why. One a Republican, one a Democrat, both had good reasons, both got my vote. This kind of stuff, the glossy mailing inundation: Turns voters off.
I see from a three-minute internet search that the other candidate has also botched sex abuse cases of different sorts, and that Schimel has featured her failures in ads of his own. It's best not to give unquestioning credence to anything that you see on TV or online or that comes in the mail. ... Except bills. ... You got to pay them.
These ads are aimed at women and their tendency towards an emotional response to politics.
These ads were printed with USAID money.
These ads show that the people who made them think women in general are stupid. It is mostly the college educated women that are stupid enough to fall for it.

Democrats cannot honestly talk about the issues or what they want for the country.
No electoral majority wants open borders, government corruption, endless wars, slush fund foreign aid programs or 9th month abortions. Nobody wants censorship.
There are about 30% of the population does want these things and they are violent shitheads to boot. No where near enough to win elections but then again the National Socialist Workers Party in Germany never really won an election either.
There’s one very good reason to vote for Schimel. 6 of the 7 current justices are women. I’d prefer at least 2 men.
They are also at the top of the ballot in Canada.
Again, why do you care so much about Canadian elections? Are you from there? And if so, why do you care what Trump and or Musk does?
Funny how some people scream about Trump's tariffs yet turn a blind eye to the outlandish tariffs Canada impose on the US.
There are some very real issues facing Canadian voters, but rather than focus on them it's all about Trump and Musk. Just like Democrats here in the US. All they have is hate for Trump and even more of it for Musk.
I've always assumed they "must know what they're doing", but have a hard time imagining the voter, who already isn't on their side, who responds positively to this shit.
These days, no one is trying to convince the other side to shift to them, or really even trying to convince undecideds, it is entirely about bringing out your voters/suppressing the other guy's voters. It is pretty depressing, but here we are.

It's actually worse than that. It's the same reason why the Democrats didn't clap for the kid they made an honorary Secret Service agent: it's about being one of the Cool Kids. Not doing what's right, or even doing what's politically expedient; no, it's always about being one of the Cool Kids. (And as we all learned in junior high, being one of the Cool Kids has its advantages. Being on the outs? Not so much.)
That's a waste of resources that would better spent on a ground operation. That said, I've read at least one opinion piece saying Schimel is in an uphill battle.
And yet Susan Crawford has spent the most money on this race. What is she, the candidate, trying to buy?
I have received quite a lot of similar mailings about Crawford. Haven't seen any positivity out of either side in this race.
Not voting for Schimel means the WI Supreme Court will continue its battle to redraw the lines of Wisconsin's Congressional districts to make it easier for Democrats to win seats and affect the composition of the U.S. House of Representatives. I have seen no discussion pointing to the gerrymandering by the court, but this issue MATTERS!
Why are so many of the comments this morning ignoring the elephant in the room?
Every big Wisconsin election, whether it be this Supreme Court race, or the Baldwin/Hovde senate race last fall, the Democrats say the Republican candidate is "too extreme for Wisconsin!"
Apparently Lil Benjie Wikler approves this message.
So you have a choice between two judicial candidates who don't give a damn about child molesters or wife-beaters. Sounds about right for any judicial race these days. With the exception of deporting illegals who commit crimes, Trump has been a disappointment on crime control. Biden, of course, was worse, but neither Party really gives a damn as the public begs the DAs and judges to do something about crime. The stupid anti-incarceration libertarians have taken over the spineless GOP, and the Democrats love criminals. Thanks, justice system. Special thanks to the American Bar Association, which is just pubic hair on the ACLU's balls these days.
Which side is going to manufacture the most votes in Dane and Milwaukee counties? My money is on the Democrats since they've had so much more experience.
Up with Soros. Down with Musk. Sounds like Democrats everywhere.
I'm not local, but I bet he's a NAZI, right?
I don't even lift my arm in the show anymore.
I'm a Wisconsin voter again after many years. I will be voting for the person(s) targeted the most by negative ads.
