I like buttermilk too. It's a storm precursor that comes after mare's tails.

It needs a name and I'm going with "shock therapy".

Checkout this White House X/Twitter post.

I came upon it via Reddit, and I thought it was not real, but it is very much real. The line "we are not in Kansas anymore" comes to mind but then I remembered Dorithy and the gang didn't stay at the place that was not Kansas. In fact, I believe they went back to Kansas.

I haven't heard that expression in a long time. I thought it was "mayor's tails" but if my room was a mess, it was a "mare's nest."

Enjoyed Bret Baier's DOGE interview. That was what I voted for!

YouTube: Fox News DOGE interview. Wow.

planetgeo said...

That DOGE team interview by Bret Baier was the most informative and probably most important news show of my entire lifetime. Musk's team are literally working to save this country from complete financial disaster, and doing it on a volunteer basis. They are true heroes.

Their methods are clear and very systematic. It's incomprehensible how anyone who genuinely cares for this country would want to stop them. And anyone trying to stop them can only have a vested interest in perpetuating the incredible waste and fraud they are uncovering.

Lem Vibe Banditory said...

Wait... I had to go back and hear the numbers again.

"There are 4.6 million credit cards for around 2.3 to 2.4 million employees."

I was very impressed by Bret Baier’s DOGE interview. He should receive a journalism award.

My biggest (and most pleasant) surprise was learning that DOGE is not made up of GenZ hacker geeks, as has been implied by the MSM, but by seasoned, serious business leaders who understand audits and other business processes.

However, I expect MSNBC and others will focus on the lack of diversity displayed by those being interviewed.

Peachy said...

The rest of the horrid hack press(D) won't interview the Doge team?

We all wonder why?

Caroline said...

Totally agree, the DOGE interview was spectacular. We were cheering. It’s too bad the msm won’t do the same, will keep peddling lies. These guys are real, old fashioned heroes. Not to mention courageous.

elon gave Brad 10,000,000 so far! Will it cost more to buy it or is 10,000,000 enough! Go ole Wis!

Thank you for the link, Lem.
Hard to believe the opposition this effort is engendering. Sad, really.

"elon gave Brad 10,000,000 so far!"

But I'm reading that Crawford is leading Schimel in funding. Care to name some names for Democrat donors STINKY, or is it all just that good old Dark Money Magic at work? Some of that ActBlue micro-donations for the unaware? Maybe some of those dregs from the USAID cookie jar can still carry that ol' mojo to drag your favorite over the finish line eh? Come on, name some names STINKY, put it on the up and up !

Lem Vibe Banditory said...

The idea, if it was conceived that way, leaving the pentagon for last, DOGE will come to it with a wealth of know how from fixing smaller agencies and bureaucracies. Having watched this interview, the savings of a trillion dollars doesn’t sound as exaggerated as it did before. DOGE is nothing at all like the media is portraying them.

"Care to name some names for Democrat donors STINKY, or is it all just that good old Dark Money Magic at work?"

Some guy in Wichita has made 48,000 individual contributions through ActBlue totaling nearly a million dollars over the past three weeks.

Completely legit.

I bet nobody saw that coming. The media portrayal, that is- not DOGE's effectiveness.

Remember, the person most likely to have been the “JG” whom Mikey Waltz wanted to add to the SignalGate chat instead of Jeff Goldberg was Jamieson Greer, Trump’s trade representative. But an unnamed nobody, who happened to be the fifth clerk from right at HSA, was blamed and fired instead of Waltzing Matilda. All is fair in Trump's world.

BTW, this is Australian slang for "travelling on foot" (waltzing) with secret belongings carrried in a "matilda" (swag) slung over Whiskey Pete's back. And he sang as he watched and waited till his billy boiled, "Who'll come a-waltzing matilda with me?"

April 6 is Waltzing Matilda Day when the Unofficial Aussie National Anthem is gladly played and sang.

You really think Mike Waltz had Jeffrey Goldberg's contact info on his phone (and thus accidentally enrolled him in the chat)?

You're stupider than you look.

That photo op of Kristi Noem in front of that dystopian jail in El Salvador was pure intuitive genius. It will result in more self-deportations than 100 ICE raids. Brilliant.

In fact, they should have Pam Bondi doing the next photo op there too and just mention that the DOJ is going to start sending anyone caught firebombing Tesla dealerships there too. Should stop that in no time flat.

planetgeo said...

Come to think of it, it may be both appropriate and salutary for all the district judges who have an itch for nationwide injunctions if Trump temporarily relocated Judge Boasberg's court to the lobby of that jail in El Salvador. You know, so he could soak in the context of his desire to return those deported gang members to the United States.

Oh good, someone got fired for the Signal issue. That's one more than was fired for the horrendous Afghanistan withdrawal.

DOGE interview was great to see. It’s the right move - to be very transparent about what they’re finding and what they’re proposing to do about it. Also seems like they’re being careful wrt people being affected by their recommendations. I expect they will do interviews regularly from here.

I remember once I was out having a drink in a bar in Sydney, and they had live music, and the band had a fiddler, and he started playing the first few notes of "Skippy the Bush Kangaroo," and the whole dance floor turned to the band and they started swaying back and forth together as the band played the song.

The people pushing back against this effort apparently want the USA to fail, to fall into bankruptcy. If nothing is done to mitigate this fact, bankruptcy is assured.

Consider these asshole politicians and pundits with that in mind.
