"Yarden looked me in the eyes and asked that all the world know and be horrified by the manner in which they murdered his children."

"The entire world must know exactly how the Hamas terrorist organization operates. Ariel and Kfir were murdered, and then yesterday, their bodies were returned in a cynical and cruel ceremony in Gaza. Shiri Bibas, who was meant to be returned with her children to Israel as part of the agreement, was not returned by Hamas. Hamas lied and violated the agreement. The body that Hamas falsely claimed was Shiri’s was not hers, nor was it any other hostage. Instead, Hamas sent over the body of an anonymous woman...."

Even Muslim religious leaders in the Middle East have strongly condemned Hamas for this. I even heard NPR mention this, yesterday. By their fruits you shall recognize them.

A take on an old proposed Irish solution: Those in Gaza who want peace need to be placed on boats and taken to sea, while those behind can get bombed into hell. Then, when Gaza is empty, sink the boats...

So, mother was raped to death and two babies were strangled to death.

By ordinary Palestinian civilians, not "Hamas".

If you are on the side of teh Palestinians, you are a monster

Why is a bare hands murder worse than any other? This seems to mean beating with fists or choking. For me, drowning or the use of any number of medieval torture tools would be far worse.

Israel offered $5 million, escape from Gaza, and a great new life to any Palestinian who helped them get a hostage back.

Anyone with a cell phone could have taken Israel up on the offer.

But not one Palestinian chose to do so.

When it comes to comparing Nazi Germany to Hamas Gaza, it is good to remember that the Germans under the Nazis were better human beings than the Palestinians are.

It is a testament to our times that the monstrous behavior of Hamas and the Gazans has produced not revulsion, but antisemitism.

It means the murderer looked an innocent baby in the eyes, and rather than comforting or holding the baby, took his bare hands and choked it until the baby could no longer breathe and gasping for air, died. The baby didn’t die as an accident by rough handling but by thoughtful intent. That’s why it’s worse.

Israeli Spring. The same thing happened during the Arab Spring, the Slavic Spring, the European Spring, the American Spring, etc. Summer can't arrive soon enough.

My sympathy for rapist murderers is the same regardless of culture. Indeed, I give equal sympathy for those that cheer on rapist murderers as I do the actual rapist murderers, because it is not an activity that should be cheered.

What I saw yesterday was rapist murderers blaming innocent people for causing the deaths by collateral damage. This is almost an admission that anybody left in captivity by Hamas may be raped and murdered at any time with their death blamed on Israel. I'm failing to see how that leads to encouraging Israeli restraint in how they deal with Hamas.

What proportion of people who commit acts of terrible evil are ever held to account? Exclude dubious supernatural mechanisms, such as hell. I'm guessing less than 10%.

Do determinist explanations for human behavior exonerate those who commit terrible evil? If they do, there is a problem with determinist theories.

Non-accidental is the very definition of "murder." I was comparing types of murder, not accidental deaths.

this is reminiscent of what happened in year zero, for those who were raised under the influence of programs like Farfour the Mouse, to treat even a baby like this, isn't surprising sadly,

No matter how the children died, it still would have been murder.

It's not worse than ANY other, but it is worse than MOST other.

Shooting a baby, or chopping his head off, or even simply leaving him in a room to die of starvation / dehydration, is less evilly personal than taking that baby in your hands and nurturing him.

The people of Gaza should be given one week to hunt down and kill everyone responsible for the deaths of the Bibas family. Failing that, Israel should simply kill every single person in Gaza.

If the baby killers are going to babble about "Genocide", it's time to stop letting them lie about it

I congratulate Yarden for this decision. The world needs to know the facts and unfortunately Israel’s been reticent.
Somebody explain how strangling a baby is the act of a freedom fighter. How does that act demonstrate the desire for self determination of the Palestinian people?

But apparently these Muslim religious leaders had no comment on the 70 Christians beheaded in a Congo church. A search of NPR's website turned up no mention of this atrocity.

There is a reason that none of the surrounding or other Islamic countries want these people (Hamas, Gaza, Palestinians etc) in their countries. Past experience with them, unrepentant for these atrocities, actually cheering and celebrating the murder of innocent women and children.... these inhuman actions are who they are.

That's a we-are-oppressed story to counter the Palestinian we-are-oppressed story that's so popular on campus worldwide. Big mistake by Israel, and they're not even going to follow through with what their supporters want, their supporters being at bottom more barbaric than the Palestinians once you goad them.

What Israel has to do is convince the campus, not its supporters. They do that by being the good guys, not the oppressed guys. The good guys offer Palestine wealth through mutually beneficial trade, even though Palestine has each time either blown it up or shot it down. Israel does that because they are Jews and taking care of the other guy is fundamental in the religion.
It's also why Israel will not follow through with what it's angered supporters want, but something more self-defencey.

Tout that to the campus - we're the good guys because our religion requires it even with enemies. The Palestians have a fuck it all religion. You choose who you support now.

After so long, it does not matter what happened to your granddaddy’s olive grove when Egypt and Jordan invaded Israel in 1948. My grandad lost his farm to a crooked banker before I was born and I have not killed any babies over it.

Adapt or die. That is the choice that civilization gives you.

I doubt the exact status of hostages has ever been part of Hamas's thinking. Who needs the paperwork when the organization is under attack.

The most it has done is order the local guard to kill the hostage they're guarding if Israel attempts a rescue of him.

Sympathy for Gaza just reached post WWII Germany levels. After WWII, millions of Germans were forcibly removed from what is now western Poland and from (former "Sudetenland") parts of Czech Republic. No one in the rest of the world gave a shit. I would say, after 80 years, the Palestinian project has proven to be a mere fundraising front for a terrorist operation that is committed to eternal war against Jews. Give them the only peace such types can ever know.

I try to see situations from multiple perspectives, following the advice "seek first to understand, and then to be understood." I cannot understand the Gazans or their defenders, and I'm done trying. I don't try to understand the coyotes that live in the countryside near my house beyond knowing that they would kill my dogs if given the chance. Instead I built a fence, and I'll shoot any that I see. Gazans are no different to me than coyotes. Rabid ones at that.

Yes, but as management, Hamas has joint and several liability for damage to the babies.

It is hard to understand how a culture can get to the point where this kind of atrocity is not only allowed but celebrated.

If people cannot see the difference in cultures between Israel and the Palestinians, there is no hope for this world.

How do you combat something like that? It is plainly clear that there is no living next to people like that. Can you eradicate such barbarity eventually? and if so, how do you go about it? Any act against the Palestinians would only incite that same behavior. Any appeasement will only encourage it. Any relocation would only redirect it. Does anyone on the Palestinian apologist's side have any viable solution other than then eradication of all Jews? Because that is the only solution Palestinians will accept. It is clear they have no humanity in them with regards to Jews. To them Jews are not redeemable. When things come to this point it really seems to come down to eliminate one side or the other. The only possible alternative I see is to export all Palestinians over the age of 7 to northern Greenland (or any other isolated space), sterilize each and everyone one and let them live isolated until they all die out. The small children can be adopted into non-muslim families where they will not be taught to hate Jews. Outside of that I don't see any bloodless solution. I have lost all hope of peace and am sorely discouraged about the nature of man.

At some point you come to realize that doing the same thing over and over again with the same outcome is pointless. The Pallies would rather have their country destroyed than make any kind of mutually beneficial long-term arrangement with Israel. It's long past time to give them what they want.

You don't. You eliminate it. Its very existence undermine western civilization and virtue. So it must not be allowed to continue to grow.
