"But Livelsberger, who was an active member of the Army’s elite Special Forces, was known to be a 'Rambo-type patriot' and staunch Trump supporter..."

"... and law enforcement officers are investigating if he had purposefully picked a Cybertruck to limit civilian casualties, rather than for political reasons, the sources said. If he had used a normal vehicle, the explosion would have likely taken out the glass doors of the building and possibly the lobby — potentially killing innocent bystanders. The Cybertruck’s impenetrable steel design contained the explosion, while still giving off large flames...."

From "Cybertruck bomber Matthew Livelsberger’s wife broke up with him days before explosion outside Trump hotel in Las Vegas: sources" (NY Post).

UPDATE: Notes left by Livelsberger on his phone: "This was not a terrorist attack, it was a wake up call. Americans only pay attention to spectacles and violence. What better way to get my point across than a stunt with fireworks and explosives."

Quoted by the NY Post, here. There's also this, from an FBI Special Agent: “Although this incident is more public and more sensational than usual, it ultimately appears to be a tragic case of suicide involving a heavily decorated combat veteran who was struggling with PTSD and other issues."

Who had on their dance card that two individuals with connections to the military, trained at the same military installation, would rent electric trucks from the same rental agency, drive to popular tourist destination, execute a terrorist attack on the same day and die at the scene? You'd have better odds on a billion dollar lottery ticket.

Given his potential training and experience, I wouldn't dismiss it. I'm sure he knew, or could have found out, how to create a far more destructive explosion if that's what he had wanted. Fireworks and propane tanks sounds more like improvisation.

There is a temptation to take the media story as plausible and tragic. But on the same day a Muslim at the same base committed a massacre? This is conspiracy theory jacked up to eleven, as an illegitimate regime frantically tries to justify staying in power.

I don't think it stands the slightest chance at working.

There you go connecting dots... We should go with the more obvious that a person that would go to the trouble of committing suicide by renting a CyberTruck, texting his current girlfriend about the rental, filling the back with flammables and explosives, just wanted to make a big show of taking themselves out in a flashy method; which is why they shot themselves first. You must believe he shot himself first.

I just asked chatgpt how I would rent an electric truck, and this was the result, so I think the Turo connection is overblown.

1. Rental Companies Specializing in EVs
Enterprise Truck Rental – Enterprise has begun introducing electric box trucks and vans to their fleet. Check for availability in your area.
Ryder – Ryder offers electric trucks for commercial rental, including last-mile delivery vehicles.
Penske – Penske provides electric light to medium-duty trucks for rental in select locations.
2. OEM and Manufacturer Programs
Ford Pro – Ford offers electric trucks like the Ford F-150 Lightning through their Ford Pro leasing programs.
GM BrightDrop – BrightDrop offers electric delivery vans, which might be available for fleet rental or leasing.
Rivian – Rivian collaborates with commercial partners to lease electric trucks and vans.
3. Peer-to-Peer and Sharing Platforms
Turo – You can rent electric trucks like the Rivian R1T or Ford Lightning from individual owners.
Getaround – In some areas, electric trucks are available for short-term rentals.

Righties can always count on false info from their King, As the public first started learning the details of what happened in New Orleans, the Republican’s first instinct was to tell Americans how right he was, falsely suggest that the suspected terrorist — a U.S. Army veteran born in Texas — was an immigrant, followed by some demonstrably untrue claims about the national crime rates. By flunking tests of accuracy, decency and credibility, Trump reminded Americans that we just can’t count on him for reliable and trustworthy information in the wake of a tragedy.
Some of the Republican’s defenders have suggested that the misinformation he touted wasn’t entirely his fault: Fox News reported that the suspect had crossed over the border from Mexico earlier this week. The network soon after walked back its reporting, but Trump — relying on conservative media instead of intelligence briefings — left his original statement intact. Plenty more to come,,and the Righties love it! :( of course now FOX was the real perp,,that's how they do it,projection, fabrication, alternate facts and outright lies.. Beautiful! Jose can you see!

I listened to NPR at 9:15. On the NOLA case, they were complaining about Trump mentioning the terrorist threat due to all the terrorists Biden let in. NPR complained about misinformation. On the LV case, they left out the fact that this guy just broke up with his wife. NPR is so, so biased.

RCOCEAN II said...

Sadly, we can't trust the FBI or the MSM. Everything they say has to checked and verified. The Special forces had a hardcore leftist wife who gave money to the DNC. So, btw, did the Arab-Texas Terrorist in NOLA. It'd be nice if we had a national media with some diversity of thought. Or one that wasn't always pushing propaganda and hiding things.

They always want every terrorist or killer to be a "White supremist" and not be a Leftist or POC that hates Christianity/America/Whites. I doubt the LV bomber was a "Life long Republican". That he chose the trump tower to blow up the truck makes that clear.

1. "His" body was burned beyond recognition and he was identified from paper ID.

2. Just as happened in Butler, the security measures, the bollards in New Orleans, were removed and an amateur just happened to find that spot and go through it to kill (or try to) and then was immediately killed by police on the spot.

3. Is that also the story of the J6ers and Ray Epps? The security was taken down and then the people that went through were majorly punished? They weren't shot - or only one of them - but the DOJ was ready to send them up the river.

So if you become aware that someone is taking down security measures ... well, then, what?

From comments I have seen it sounds like the rental app is essentially AirBnB or Virbo for vehicles. The NOLA guy was at Bragg in 2013. We didn't know yet about the LV guy, but probably he was there for his Special Forces training in 2006. There no indication at this time that they were ever in contact. Seems there's a HUGE possible downside for the vehicle owner in terms of liability. Large rental fleets have detailed records of maintenance so if the vehicle gets in an accident the company can't be blamed for not checking the brakes. Can you show that you replaced the brakes- yourself- only 5000 miles ago? Bet you can't. I can't- and I did.

Fort Bragg being huge would be a great explanation of how they didn't know each other. Isn't a great explanation of the evidence that they were in contact with each other. Have I seen that evidence? No. Does it exist? Well, yes...

Why electric vehicles for both attacks? Good question. With a possibly unknowable answer. If there's a third attack with one- it's not coincidence. Right now, just a weird fact. But I'll bet the bomb holding capacity of the Tesla truck was an unknown factoid until yesterday.

Took pictures today of the room of the entry area. There’s an intact camera directly above where the truck blew up. And a lot of discoloration where the sprinklers went off. And it’s closed to everyone except for residents and guests. Taxis and Uber/Lift have to load/unload on the street (Fashion Show Drive). Valet shift lead is down by the barriers, letting people in, because he knows our (residents) cars. LVMPD is down from 4 units to 1 (with the officer(s) likely in the break room).
