Replete with cheeseheads and "Jump Around"...

Wisconsin weighed in at the convention:

I don't know why Governor Tony Evers had such trouble getting the words out, but what does it matter? The votes were cast, and the votes were not real anyway.

Nice to see Ben Wikler by his side.

As for the convention in general, no, I did not watch. Maybe I'll take a look at the Obamas speeches on YouTube... or just look at the transcripts... count how many times they said "hope" or something.

ADDED: I scrolled right to Wisconsin and felt good about hearing "Jump Around," but I see that all the states got their popular song. Here's a full list. Because they went in alphabetical order, Alabama was first, and the song is a song that used to make lefties cringe: "Sweet Home Alabama."

Why is seeing that Ben guy a good thing?

You watched it so I didn't have to. Honestly, I forgot it was even on. Too busy watching season 1 of 'From'. It's a story about people who arrive in a small town- coming from all over- and they cannot leave the town. And at night, monsters come out and eat up any humans not locked in their homes. Yes- I'd rather watch that than the DNC Joy Show. At least one of these is believable.

Anyway, looking at the list, there are some great songs featured by each state, including "I won't back down", by Tom Petty, featured by Florida. But I have to say, nothing stops the crowd and gets them all fired up like "Jump Around". I love watching Wisconsin football just for that.

Stick Season is a good song, I will ignore its misuse in this fashion.

If my understanding of the local lore is correct, "stick season" is the time between the leaf peepers and the skiers when the locals have the state to themselves for a little while. I guess it fits with Althouse's recent them of tourist crowds and the prospects of escape therefrom.

“Shipping Up to a Boston” is too predictable. Massachusetts should have gone with “Dirty Water” or J Geils’ “House Party”.

Since NY seems intent on returning NYC to the glory days of the 70’s they should have gone with “Shattered”.

I am old most of the songs are unfamiliar to me.

Sweet Home Alabama? That's Lynyrd Skynyrd. Libtards don't get to use that song. Sue those libtards for playing it!

The votes were cast, and the votes were not real anyway.

In addition Tony Evers and WI Democrats are prosecuting the "fake electors" from 2020 to cover for the WI voter fraud the Democrats implemented.

WI Gov Tony Evers stumbled over announcing fake votes. You can't get more Democrat than that.

No, I didn't. I was watching some of "Elizabeth Taylor: The Lost Tapes" on HBO and then clicking around and turning it off. I looked at the Wisconsin part of the roll call this morning because my son Chris texted me that Ben was in it. (I'm interested in Ben because I knew him when he was a high school kid.)

I like that the Democrats are still pretending to have any sort of connection to democratic processes.

They just pulled a coup and had delegates "nominate" someone who has never won a delegate through any sort of primary election.

2020 Kamala was so embarrassing she didn't even make it to Iowa. She is just drunk more often now.

Kamala Harris’ DNC platform pledges to pass the U.S. Citizenship Act. What is it? The most radical amnesty bill ever written. Amnesty for human traffickers & gang members, no welfare restrictions for migrants, lets deportees return, & worse.

Nevertrumpers think they are independents. It is cute.

They still can't figure out why Trump has millions more voters than any of their republican or democrat bots.

I'm hoping Tony Evers was drunk and that's why stumbled so bad in that speech. That would be more Wisconsin like than "Jump Around."

Maybe he was drunk when he let Kenosha burn on purpose for 2020 political gain.

Looked at the Youtube video of the vote. That my friends is what party disclipine looks like. Everyone on the same page. Everyone united against the common enemy: Trump. Everyone in the coalition plays their part, because the party gives them what they want. Blacks get quotas and set asides, social liberals get abortion and gay whatever, Government Union members get their graft, Jews get Israel, RIch guys get open borders and cheap labor.

Compare that to the Republicans where two former POTUS candidates wont endorse a former POTUS because they don't like his personality. And the "Moderates" cant shut up about how much they hate all those MAGA types and dream about how they can trick the gullible social conservatives into voting Republican without giving them anything.

No wonder the D's win.

Party of Strange is much closer to the truth, if they had an honest bone in their bodies.

Dunno why lefties would object to 'Sweet Home Alabama' other than the dig at Neil Young and anti-Southern animus in general. It's basically the reverse of the 'Born in the USA' phenomenon. If you actually listen to the lyrics it's pretty negative on Alabama though with a similar vibe of not denying it's still your home.

That doesn't really change the fact that it completely ignored any and all votes cast. I guess they did it in order to "protect democracy," though.

Reasonable conclusions may be drawn from that.

Tim in Vermont - You are right. I don’t know how I overlooked “Roadrunner”.

Roadrunner, roadrunner
Going faster miles an hour
Gonna drive past the Stop 'n' Shop
With the radio on

I'm in love with Massachusetts
And the neon when it's cold outside
And the highway when it's late at night
Got the radio on
I'm like the roadrunner
Alright

I'm in love with modern moonlight
128 when it's dark outside
I'm in love with Massachusetts
I'm in love with the radio on
It helps me from being alone late at night
Helps me from being lonely late at night
I don't feel so bad now in the car
Don't feel so alone, got the radio on
Like the roadrunner
That's right

Said welcome to the spirit of 1956
Patient in the bushes next to '57
The highway is your girlfriend as you go by quick
Suburban trees, suburban speed
And it smells like heaven, I say
Roadrunner once
Roadrunner twice
I'm in love with rock and roll and I'll be out all night
Roadrunner
That's right

Well now
Roadrunner, roadrunner
Going faster miles an hour
Gonna drive to the Stop 'n' Shop
With the radio on at night
And me in love with modern moonlight
Me in love with modern rock & roll
Modern girls and modern rock & roll
Don't feel so alone, got the radio on
Like the roadrunner
O.K. now you sing Modern Lovers
