"The court heard how the defendant's 'Eunuchmaker' pay-per-view website advertised services including castration, penis removal and the freezing of limbs."

I'm reading "'Eunuch-maker' mutilator jailed for 22 years" (BBC).

I first read about this case in The Daily Record, and it was so ludicrously, shockingly lurid that I didn't think I could write about it. But then I saw the BBC was covering it, so it became bloggable.

But for the sake of decency, I will put the rest after the jump:

The website showed the defendant [Marius Gustavson, 46] and his medically unqualified accomplices - six of whom were sentenced alongside him - performing a series of operations in London flats and hotel rooms on apparently willing volunteers. Some were as young as 16....
In his defence, Gustavson's legal team claimed he only wanted to "put a smile on people's faces" by offering a service to those suffering, like him, from what was described as body integrity dysphoria (BID)....

Gustavson earned almost £300,000 from his website, having amassed 22,841 visitors from across the globe who paid to view the gruesome footage, the court heard....

Gustavson moved to the UK in 2012 and was living in London in 2017 when he had his penis removed by one of his co-defendants, Damien Byrnes. Two years later he arranged to have part of his leg frozen and a nipple removed. The procedures led to "feelings of empowerment and greater acceptance of himself and feelings of contentment with his own body", Mr Panesar said.

"From there the Eunuchmaker website began. He does say he wished to put a smile on other people's faces - he wanted to help. "He was stuck in a body he wanted to make changes to, and understood there were more people out there who wished to do the same."

By the time of his arrest his involvement had become an "addiction" and he could no longer stop himself being present at the procedures and making videos, the barrister said.

That's the BBC. Here's some of what's in the Daily Record, in "Scots hotel worker jailed for role in 'eunuch maker' scheme/Ion Ciucur, 30, of Gretna, admitted he was part of the criminal ring which carried out male castration, penis removal and other 'grisly" procedures on an unprecedented scale":

Extreme body modification is linked to a subculture where men become "nullos", short for genital nullification, by having their penis and testicles removed. Previously, prosecutor Caroline Carberry KC said Gustavson was linked to at least 29 procedures.

After one of them, Gustavson cooked severed testicles for lunch which he ate in a salad he had prepared for himself, she said. He had taken various pictures from "raw ingredients to an artfully arranged salad platter", Ms Carberry told the court....

During raids, officers found Gustavson's penis in a drawer in his home four years after it had been amputated. Gustavson, a Norwegian national, also had to have his leg amputated in February 2019 after getting a man to freeze it and claimed £18,000 in disability payments up until 2021.

So, not only is there cannibalism, but there's also a welfare fraud angle.

Earlier in mitigation, Rashvinderjeet Panesar said the breakdown of Gustavson's marriage was the "trigger" for his offending. The defence barrister said: "He had a desire to be the architect of his own body. His modification led him to feelings of empowerment. It appears at face value to be something that's become an addiction for him."...

Kate Mulholland, from the Crown Prosecution Service, said: "Marius Gustavson ignored the risks of performing unnecessary surgery on vulnerable men for sexual gratification and financial gain. He actively recruited participants through his website and was paid to stream the footage of these barbaric procedures.

"Whilst the victims in this case all seemingly consented to surgeries and amputations, the victim who bravely reported his assault to the police expressed serious regret regarding his procedure and the lasting impact it has had upon him. This clearly emphasises why such practices are unlawful.  The severity of today's sentence should act as a warning to others that performing extreme body modifications is against the law and the CPS won't hesitate to prosecute these horrendous crimes."

Anyway, good morning, blog readers.

So someon who had mutilative surgery becasue of body dysphoria had regret and that is why we don't allow this to go on. That's funny, this situation sounds a lot like the pro-trans surgery for children movement. But THAT is stunning and brave, we are tols.

Again this raises questions, such as J.K Rowling's, as to whether it is wise to allow trans mutilation of children based only on their own consent, and a feeling of being trapped in the wrong body.

Being practiced daily in the US, although under more sanitary conditions. The schools are planting the seeds. But for Wales.

I'm starting to think that Western nations, on the whole, have way too much wealth, way too much free time to gaze at ourselves, our navels, and other people's 'navels', and more indoctrination than education.

I'm just thinking about, let's say a poor family in Sri Lanka. Are there sons among them dreaming of removing their penis? Or are they more likely thinking only as far as their next meal and how to come by it? We, on the other hand, have a segment of the population that is so bored with themselves that they are unsure of their gender at times, and are regularly considering removing body parts to prove it. And, even better, we have 'professionals' encouraging it.

I suspect nature evens things out regularly. We're due for an evening out.

I'll first the state the obvious, which is that this practice doesn't seem to be too many exits away from the hospitals where doctors perform smiliar surgeries on teenagers under the auspices of remedying gender dysphoria.

Mostly, I wonder if this is something that has happened through the ages and we just know more about it now because of the internet. Or is there something about modern society that is creating these impulses and desires. Maybe it's just easier now to find someone to cut off your penis than it used to be in the olden days. I know there were eunuchs in certain cultures in the past, but I don't think that was by choice.

I can understand wanting to exert control over one's body. But for most of us that would mean losing a few pounds or starting a workout program!

According to Maslow's "Hierarchy of Needs, obtaining one's next meal is part of the first and most urgent of human needs, located in the bottom (foundational) tier of the pyramid of needs. Seeking body-changing surgery would be among the last needs one might seek to obtain, those needs with which we concern ourselves after the preceding more necessary needs have been met, part of the top two tiers of the pyramid.

The five levels of the hierarchy pyramid, from the bottom (most urgent) and moving up to the apex, are:

1. Physiological needs
2. Safety needs
3. Love/belonging
4. Esteem
5. Self-actualization.

So standard guild protectionism.

2. Those performing the procedure may have experienced sexual gratification.

Have you listened to the people pushing transgenderism? Their hatred of Penises is glaring and they are thrilled with every eunuch created. This is not a difference.

3. The procedure was performed on camera and watched on line by paying customers.

So they were just honest about what they are doing rather than hiding it from parents. Refreshing for these ghouls. Parents only wish they could see what is being done to their kids in the darkness.

4. Some severed body parts were sold.

Selling aborted baby parts is a billion dollar industry for Planned Parenthood. It is just that people who report on that billion dollar industry are attacked by the regime.

And it also mirrors exactly what is going on here.

5. Some severed body parts were displayed in an artful "salad" arrangement to be looked at for pleasure and, it seems, eaten.

I guess that is worse than ordering specific baby parts for research. More salacious at least.

Somehow worse.

Is it worse?

No matter what is brought up in conversation, you can always add. "There's a fetish for that"

And. . . This is not political at all.

Some of our political divide is created by the notion the Government MUST recognize and give Protected class to someones personal fetish. With trans, it only takes a minute slice of population, a crazy small number of people, to seek protected class for their fetish.

Dysphoria is a real thing, and the proper response for people suffering from this condition is pity. Our current President suffered from hair dysphoria. There used to be a belief among many Democrats that only politicians with Kennedy quality hair were worthy of our highest office. Joe Biden submitted to several painful and invasive procedures in order to obtain worthy hair. These procedures were ultimately in vain but this just goes to show you how intense his dysphoric feelings were.. Ironically it was Joe Biden himself who went to show his fellow Democrats that balding men can hold high office.

Althouse writes, "There are some distinctions from gender affirmation surgery..."

There's another distinction Althouse doesn't list. Degreed physicians who perform "gender affirmation surgery" tacitly claim or strongly imply that the knife will transform the victim... er, patient... from man to woman or from woman to man. That's a bloody lie. Everybody knows it, but the fascists hold onto power by suppressing truth and sanctifying lies.

A hundred years ago, nobody with a brain really believed the Protocols of the Elders of Zion was anything but a particularly stupid calumny. Nor did they really believe there was ever a master race called the Aryans. But if you wanted that brown uniform and boots, you spoke the mandatory lies. Today's no different. To be counted among the cool kids one must declaim the sacred mendacities and shout the holy howlers, including biology denial. The Knife makes Woman, says the gender affirming mountebank, not genetics and embryogenesis. This at least was not among the sins of Marius Gustavson. The domain name spoke the truth loud and clear.

4. Body parts as art. Sounds like breaking norms, something artists strive for. Has a line been crossed? Yesterdays post, I mentioned Piss Christ. Robert Maplethorpe comes to mind. The problem with breaking norms is normalizing the deviant. Exactly where does that end? I mean Killing a healthy baby at 39 weeks? So says a Presidential candidate.

Norms is getting very difficult.

The driving force in society is procreation.

If you crush low status men and force the vast majority of them into a situation where they have no opportunity to find a mate or pass on genes to the next generation the inevitable result is war. This pattern has repeated so many times in history.

You are either stupid or you want war.
