"The gold 'Never Surrender High Top Sneaker' is $399 with gold laces, a red and white sole, and part of an American flag up at the top."

"But it’s also 'SUPER LIMITED' to 1,000 numbered pairs, and the website, which is apparently not officially affiliated with the Trump campaign, claims they are already sold out. (Don’t worry, some were quickly listed on Ebay for thousands of dollars per pair.) The laceless Trump athletic shoes are $199, have '45' on them, and come in red (T - Red Wave) or white (POTUS 45).... The Trump Sneakers site also presells $99 bottles of Trump Victory47 perfume... and Trump Victory47 cologne.... [J]ust in case anyone was thinking these limited edition items will only increase in value and are thus a worthy heirloom: 'Trump Sneakers & Fragrances are intended for individual enjoyment and as a collectible and not for investment purposes.'..."

Whatever it takes... whatever scorn it brings...
Now, next time you are booed, you may remember to respond like Trump: "Wow, there's a lot of emotion."

Trump’s next stop is at the Sham-Wow convention.

Trump getting booed at Sneaker Con while trying to sell Trump Shoes

Funny, I read there were loud, obscene chants expressing contempt for Joe Biden. I suppose both of these things could be true.

See this for what it is - a pitch to younger black voters. That is where sneakerhead culture began. Trump is speaking to them through this, creating a sense of recognizing and accepting them into his fold. He certainly isn't doing it for the money, sales of the 1000 pair would gross less than $400k, which Fani Willis would consider "walking around money."

See this for what it is - a pitch to younger black voters.

Trump is uniquely positioned to do this. How many other old white men are mentioned in rap songs?

Granted, they date back a decade or two, but there was a time when Trump enjoyed real cachet in the black community, and accomplished some tangible improvements for the lives of black people that garnered him awards from civil rights organizations.

If he cultivates those residual warm feelings, and plays to the growing realization among blacks that Biden's wide-open border is having a terrible effect on their own job prospects and bankrupting their cities, he stands to make devastating inroads on the monolithic black vote the Democrats have taken for granted for a long time. Especially among black men.

He would be wise to invest heavily in ballot harvesting operations that get deeply into the black community and scoop them up before the Democrats do. Everybody knows perfectly well that if the Democrats depended on actually getting black people to turn up at the polls instead of mailing in their ballots, they'd lose 30% of their black voters. Trump should not count on them showing up in person on Election Day for him, even if they do support him more strongly than any Republican since Eisenhower.

By the way, anytime you see a video that has been edited so that the video starts just as the booing begins, don't assume (or buy into the headline) that the person on-stage is the one being booed. It sounded to me, after looking at longer video, that the crowd was reacting to something someone in the audience had shouted out and not booing Trump himself - the full video shows that they loved him.

Most of the "Never Trump" nonsense is about emotion. There is a visceral distaste for the man that is more about perceived class membership than anything else. I do understand where it comes from, but I am dismayed by many of my respected friends and relatives who are unable to put aside their emotions and look at the man honestly. We aren't picking a spouse here. We are selecting a national executive, and he needn't be the most congenial man in the country. In fact, it may be much better that he is not.

Oh, I come by my my disdain of Trump honestly and analytically.

In selecting a President one should ask them z succeeding questions about a candidate. When an answer no comes up you do not support that candidate.

1. Will the candidate adhere to the oath he/she takes. In December of 2022 Trump called for his restoration even though, in his words, it would require the termination of the Constitution. Right off the bat he has disqualified himself. This specifically get my line about tRump Swabs loving Trump more than they love the Constitution.

2. Can the candidate do the job - his he/she an effective manager. Trump’s history of failure and bad hiring decisions gives him an F. People who enter his orbit end up destroyed. His successes during his term (judges and the economy) were due to people he considers enemies (McConnell and Ryan). If victorious his administration will be littered with people like Loomer and Stone. tRump Swabs will consider his term in office a success but they also pretend that 2020 did not happen.

3. Can the candidate win the election. After 2017 Trump has been a disaster electorally.whether it be his own election or other elections. If Trump had just shut up the Republicans would probably have 54 Senate seats. Many of Biden’s “successes” can be blamed on Trump. In 2022 we are facing the prospect of two candidates running against the only person they could probably beat.

4. Is the candidate ideologically compatible. Trump is a cipher. He will go with the people who flatter him the most. Except for tariffs. He supports those. Tariffs are the even more idiotic than rent control. Where the go misery follows. Just look at Smoot-Howly and the Great Depression.

5. Is the candidate a person of character. In a business that attracts low character people Trump shines above them all. He is a man with no redeeming values. He is untrustworthy, untruthful, disloyal, graceless, narcissistic, crass, and the world’s most notorious golf cheat. He is the poster child for the seven deadly sins.

When confronted with these facts the tRump Swabs scream “uniparty”, “RINO”, and “he fights” (never acknowledging that he also loses). The thing they don’t do is refute any objections to him. They do not want to hear it because they have invest too much emotion in their Lord and Savior, Donald “Wormwood” Trump.

AMDG, the Steve Deace of Althouse blog: "Oh, I come by my my disdain of Trump honestly and analytically."

I can see AMDG is still not handling the $200M dollar DeSantis campaign implosion/collapse very well at all and continues to lash out in anger.

Imagine, $200M+ cash to spend from Ken Griffin et al, supported by the globalists/Bushies and sellout Iowa "republican" American Lasters Gov (have you seen her poll numbers lately? Shudder...) and McConnellite Senator, hitting every Iowa county with campaign stops...

...and not being able to win a single one of those counties when push comes to shove.

Not a single one.

Of course DeSantis also suffered from having the absolute worst "online influencer" campaign I have ever witnessed. Astonishingly tone deaf and remarkably incompetent. We've seen quite a bit of that on this blog as well from those who have thrown their hat in with Team Dem Lawfare.

I suspect people in Iowa remember how much of a Paul Ryan toady DeSantis was in congress per his positions, for example, on TPP and just handing obama fast track authority to approve more America Last policies.

Those sorts of things matter to people that vote in republican primaries...but those are the people AMDG despises so they probably dont count.

So, keep your fingers crossed and keep hope alive. McConnell and crew are counting on you and Boulder Idiot as well!
