"A former intelligence official turned whistleblower has given Congress and the Intelligence Community Inspector General extensive classified information about deeply covert programs that he says possess retrieved intact and partially intact craft of non-human origin."

"The information, he says, has been illegally withheld from Congress, and he filed a complaint alleging that he suffered illegal retaliation for his confidential disclosures, reported here for the first time. Other intelligence officials, both active and retired, with knowledge of these programs through their work in various agencies, have independently provided similar, corroborating information, both on and off the record."

The Debrief reports.
The whistleblower, David Charles Grusch, 36, a decorated former combat officer in Afghanistan, is a veteran of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) and the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO). He served as the reconnaissance office’s representative to the Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force from 2019-2021. From late 2021 to July 2022, he was the NGA’s co-lead for UAP analysis and its representative to the task force.... Grusch said the recoveries of partial fragments through and up to intact vehicles have been made for decades through the present day by the government, its allies, and defense contractors. Analysis has determined that the objects retrieved are 'of exotic origin (non-human intelligence, whether extraterrestrial or unknown origin) based on the vehicle morphologies and material science testing and the possession of unique atomic arrangements and radiological signatures... We are not talking about prosaic origins or identities.... The material includes intact and partially intact vehicles.'"
This story is mentioned in that Tucker Carlson episode in the previous post, but I'm blogging about it because I encountered it in The Guardian, in "US urged to reveal UFO evidence after claim that it has intact alien vehicles/Whistleblower former intelligence official says government possesses ‘intact and partially intact’ craft of non-human origin."

It probably been kept a secret so the Biden family can figure out a way to collect payments from the aliens.

At this point, even if the government shifted gears and decided to share information with the public, how would we know that it is real? AI can created images that look real, and that is how most of us would experience those theoretical extraterrestrial artifacts, by looking at images. Everything can be faked these days. Who knows what is real? They could probably even 3D print something from the images, and if you didn't have the scientific instruments to analyze the isotopes of the materials, how would you know if they were actually extraterrestrial or not? I certainly don't trust anything the media or the government tell me any more. If they tell me the sun rose in the east this morning, I'd still take a look outside to verify it.

Hearsay whistleblowing.

Two problems:

1. Intelligence officials have proven themselves to be completely untrustworthy. The fact that this person is a former intelligence official is a major strike against his credibility.

2. Whistleblower protection is a joke. The government regularly punishes whistleblowers. See the FBI, which cannot get rid of them fast enough in blatant violation of the law. A whistleblower who is not being tormented is therefore a government agent or at least government approved. And the government would never lie to me, other than the thousands of times it has lied to me in recent history.

I rate this on the same level as "anonymous sources say" on the believability meter.

For many decades the UFO and alien stuff was soft cover ("plausibility deniability") for the hidden military budget. This includes everything seen at Area 51...nuke tests...U2 spy plane...SR-71 Blackbird...Stealth Fighter (1980s)...and also the White Sands / Roswell areas too...

The trouble is that government 3 letter agencies don't trust each other and keep secrets from each other. There are many organizational stovepipes filled with James Comey and Peter Strozk types. Per the classification rules and "need to know" -- so-called alien technology might just be current human technology unknown to a given person.

Or, there really are aliens and we live in an illusion. That'd be more a lot more fun or deadly, as someone figured out how to travel faster than light speed.

What Rusty said. Former intelligence officials, or engineers, or whatever have been claiming that UFOs have been recovered, or the US is working with the aliens since the 50s.

Have you heard about the secret, world straddling tunnels that all meet under the Denver airport?

Left Bank of the Charles said...

I have long understood that UFO stories were planted during the Cold War to force the U.S. Defense Department to reveal what it knew about Soviet spy programs. It’s curious that these craft only started appearing after World War II, after mankind developed the technology to make such things. Making spycraft that appear to be alien would have deniability and well as disinformation advantages. And it’s a great coincidence that these reports have started coming in again while we are supporting Ukraine in its war against Russia.

These things roll around periodically, but the evidence never follows, somehow. And the story never moves on to discuss why the evidence isn't following, so.... see ya next time !

Speaking of The Evidence, has the FBI turned over the investigation documents on the Biden Briben' case yet? Or is this as likely as, say, seeing a UFO strapped to a flatbed trailer, rolling up outside of Congress?

I can buy autonomous AI directed probes, but supporting living beings for many, many years is a stretch and while it is possible they could have a crash, it would be a rare event, not common as claimed, and not always in isolated locations. If true, I don't blame the military for keeping things secret. Too many untrustworthy leakers out there.

The government has to keep this UFO stuff secret because they don’t want to admit they needed alien help to fake the moon landings.

I've seen two kinds of unexplained aerial vehicles and have no idea if they were piloted or self-guided. Seems like just about anyplace where the skies are clear enough to see satellites people will eventually see things that are NOT satellites because they stop/start or make hard turns. Closer up was a triangular craft over San Bernardino that was very quiet.

An earlier sighting I had in '83 started out unexplained and it looked like a spacecraft crashing but turned out to be a stealth fighter that lost control during testing. It was just dumb luck I was there on the side of the road* when it went over and down. Three years later after officially revealing the F117A the Pentagon acknowledged the earlier crash "near Bakersfield" and I figured out that was what I and a friend saw.

If the government has for years had its hands on alien technology, why has NONE of it made its way into our aircraft and spacecraft?

Crikey, the Chicoms and Russkis have routinely incorporated technology stolen from us into their military and commercial technologies, so....why haven't we done the same by reverse engineering exotic alien stuff?

Space flight is hard. Being serious for a moment, we already have the capability to launch a vehicle in space loaded with humans and even other creatures from earth and put it on a trajectory outside our solar system towards some nearby planetary system. If we aimed good enough, it would crash and every life onboard probably would have died before they left the solar system. SpaceX might improve are chances of making it alive to Mars, or Musk could be so smart as to crash land there and die.

Oh, who am I kidding. The more likely scenario is travelers from future Earth crashed their Time Machine when trying to come back here and warn us about fighting climate change.

What I get a kick out of is the ancient alien crowd. Apparently aliens, that possess the technology to travel millions of miles across the universe and God knows what other technologies we can't even begin to comprehend, come to Earth in order to impart their great wisdom to us Earthlings and how do they do it? They carve it into a rock.

MadTownGuy said...

Some years ago, Isthmus ran an article about the Roswell Incident, making the claim that what really happened was a crash of a US Army plane carrying nuclear material. The space craft story was concocted as a sensational distraction, then the cover-up of the alien craft was yet another distraction. There was nuclear material at Roswell Army Airfield (as it was known at the time), but like so many other stories it is probably speculative.

True story. I was working at NSA in 2003 when we were informed that the government had just created a new agency to replace the National Imagery and Mapping Agency (NIMA). It was to be called the National Intelligence Geospatial Agency. I took one look at the name and I said that there was no way in hell they would be able to keep that name. Sure enough, the next day we were informed that the name had been changed to the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA).

You really need to do some more reading on these issues. Crazy reports very similar to the "UFO phenomenon" have been coming in since the days of the Bible. Medieval reports of fairies? Angels?

During the 19th Century, it wasn't exactly uncommon to find reports of "aeronauts" stopping in for coffee at Western campsites, complete with full descriptions of the visitors outfitted as Europeans and saying they were from France... At a time when there sure as hell weren't any actual balloons or aircraft flying around Yuma, Arizona.

I've no earthly idea what the hell the UFO phenomenon is, but I do know one thing: It ain't new. You've had crap like this reported as long as there have been people to report it, and it ain't hard to make out that it is more likely to be an effect of mass hallucination or sleep paralysis than it is to be actual aliens.

It's like with any of these things; you can tell rather more about the people involved by their reports than you can anything else. I'm sure some of these guys are quite sincere in their beliefs and reporting as to what they experienced, but given the fallibility of human senses and the generally poor nature of the machinery it gets processed on...? I'm going to go with "hallucinatory ravings" before I buy off on "extraterrestrial intelligence", at least until I'm presented with some fairly incontrovertible evidence.

I ain't ruling out E.T., but I'm damn sure gonna want to see that bastard, his ship, and the rest of the supporting evidence first-hand before I buy off on it.

That said, the reason why a lot of this BS is so easy to believe is a marker for how badly the idiots in charge have damaged their credibility. If they hadn't wasted it claiming things that were patently and observably untrue, well... I might take their words. Now? I'm looking through the pile of poop for any ponies, because I totally don't trust them.
