"On Saturday, the comedian Trevor Noah stood before a ballroom of 2,600 journalists, celebrities and political figures at the White House Correspondents Dinner, and asked: What are we doing here?"

"'Did none of you learn anything from the Gridiron Dinner? Nothing,' Mr. Noah said, referring to another elite Washington gathering in April, after which dozens of attendees tested positivefor the coronavirus. 'Do you read any of your own newspapers?' By Wednesday, Mr. Noah’s chiding remarks at what he called 'the nation’s most distinguished superspreader event' were beginning to appear prophetic as a growing number of attendees, including a string of journalists and Antony J. Blinken, the secretary of state, said they had tested positive for the virus."

From "Virus Cases Grow After White House Correspondents Dinner/Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken was among the attendees reporting coronavirus infections on Wednesday" (NYT).

These people effing tried (and almost succeeded) in killing my business in 2020-2021. Watching this and the Met Gala makes me furious. Who cares what they catch or how it turns out? I’m going back to work.

Yet they continue to ignore the elephant in the room.

The dreaded covid vaccination is worthless.

That’s the big obvious elephant.

And while they cannot see something so completely obvious, they collectively refuse to even consider the proposition that it may actually be harmful. It is. By the end of 2022 we’ll be seeing a large “unexplainable” increase in cancers diagnosed too late to treat them successfully. That’s likely only one of several “unexplained” health issues that will be popping up. The numbers are beginning to show that all cause mortality for the 20-60 age group is rising. For the vaccinated, not the evil unvaxxed like me

Seems convenient to say she was 'covering the WHCD' as if she wouldn't have been there otherwise.

I have no sympathy for these fools.

"'Did none of you learn anything from the Gridiron Dinner? Nothing,'"

What evidence is there that progs ever "learn anything" and adjust their behavior accordingly? Examples?

"Virus Cases Grow After White House Correspondents Dinner"

Anyone dead yet? No? You mean, no one actually got, like, sick-sick?

Anyway, the DC elite nicely demonstrates that progs don't believe their own BS. No one cares about Covid. Progs do care about using Covid. But sometimes Covid uses them to show who they are.

I'm trying really hard not to say something snarky about how much better off the country would be if that gathering had been exposed to something remotely as dangerous as the attendees claim Covid to be.

And failing, I see.

Look. You go to parties, you might get the flu. Everybody's had it. Everyone's going to get it again. You going to quit going to parties, just because you might get the flu? Not if you like parties.

We must follow the dictated "science" of idiots. We all knew these blowhards from HS. They usually became insurance agents, but often go into politics.

Since COVID started, I have been on any number of planes, I have taken public transportation in philadelphia, I have been in cars with people who don't live in my household, I have stayed in hotels and eaten in restaurants, I have hugged every friend and shaking hands with virtually every person I've been introduced to. Haven't had COVID. Maybe I need to start selling my blood.

This is also true of every member of my family except my oldest, who lives in Southern California and is working almost entirely remotely. He just got it last week.

For what it's worth, all of us are vaccinated and my husband and I are boosted.

The dreaded covid vaccination is worthless.

I have two points of disagreement, although we are probably on the same page.

1. It is not a vaccine. There is no attenuated virus in the shot. It is immune system gene therapy.

2. It is worthwhile for vulnerable individuals to take the shot, if their doctor agrees that it is safe for them.

Forcing people to take the shot is completely absurd. If they think that this largely unavoidable virus is a danger to them, then take the shots. However, if you are a healthy person, you are probably better off getting the WuFlu like these folks. They now have far stronger immunity.

Alas, no profits for Big Pharma when you get natural immunity.

They should blame the event staff...and the redefining of "vaccine".
I mean, you could prophylax with you know the thing, but that's just kwayzy talk.

I think it was insane, but probably not for the same reasons. Or maybe not. They were all acting in a manner that they otherwise claim is wrong and detestable. That seems insane.

Stop testing

dawn remade said...

Wow, I'm honestly stunned by the way both Trevor Noah and Jada Yuan talk about attending something they seem to view as outright dangerous and irresponsible. Is attendance not voluntary?

Dinner had testing requirement, events did not. And now I’ll be missing a major international work trip I really wanted to do.

This part of Jada's tweet is particularly striking to me. Does she really not see the dissonance in her dismay that there weren't strident enough protocols at the WHCD events to combat the spread of Covid, and planning and looking forward to international travel? I would think her trip have exposed her to a much higher risk. It really makes the overwrought horror imagery she was using in the first tweet seem even more disingenuous.

Just man up and do your part. Vaccines don’t work. Masking doesn’t work. Study out yesterday that showed that sanitizing everything is useless, and that you are 1,000x as likely catching COVID-19 from the air. Complete theater. Only one thing will make you, and the rest of us, safe from the virus, and that is Natural Immunity, from surviving the virus - which coincidentally seems to work best if you aren’t vaccinated and boosted up the ying yang first. Very likely, one of the reasons that the infection rate nationally crashed was that so much of the population now has Natural Immunity. Get it over with, and protect those more vulnerable with Natural Immunities, and quit whining about it.

Two weeks ago my 30 year old kid and their spouse came down with it. Spouse missed one day of work. My kid was out for a week, grudgingly working out of the house, and not able to play with their precious laser beams at work. Neither really ever felt very sick, and they went skiing that weekend anyway. Oh, and they are closing on their first house tomorrow. That was epic - you don’t want to try buying a house these days up towards Boulder these days. It is insane.

Both Trevor and Jada complaining about how dangerous and irresponsible the event they are voluntarily attending is such a bad look, I don't understand what reaction they think they were going to get.

And Jada's overwrought horror imagery in that first tweet comes off as really disingenuous, especially when it's followed with her complaining that she can't travel internationally now. I would think her trip would have exposed her to a much higher risk of catching Covid than a dinner with mandatory testing?

I seem to recall being lectured, daily, about only immoral and evil people could catch Covid, because if you were good and virtuous you would be boosted and vaccinated and thus immune. So catching Covid proved your innate evilness and, I was informed, the government should round up anyone testing positive and jail them for being a threat to humanity — those evil Unvaccinated!

So, given the above rather universal argument made, when do we start arresting and putting all those immoral and evil people catching Covid from this dinner in jail for the next 18 months?

I mean, I do want to be consistent and use the standards these people demanded of me and mine… surely those standards should be used on them?

iowan2 said...

Everybody has got this so wrong.

Testing positve is meaningless. Unless you 3+ comorbidity. Its a cold. It's life...I haven't been tracking deaths, but they must not be going up, because the left isn't using the data as propaganda.
As was explained by non-political virologists 2 years ago, the virus would mutate, become more contagious and less severe, until it becomes seasonal like numerous other respiratory infections.

And as already noted up thread. The real story is the shots are not vaccines.

It's not the same since vaccinations proved effective to fight serious illness. We don't shut down for flu season--although we also don't take sufficient precautions for flu. When I think of lawyers who used to come to work with the flu . . . .

Oh My God!!

So we will be seeing dozens if not hundreds of famous White House Correspondents and their fellow elite persons getting deathly ill and dying in the next two weeks.

Except that it won't happen, and none of them will put two and two together.

On the walk through the neighborhood, I also learned that COVID is going around. My wife was exposed at work today. Yet no one gets really sick. So why get tested?
I really can't feel sympathy though for *anyone* who went to the WHCD. What a ridiculous elitist event.

At this point, looking at context, I didn't feel it necessary to put quote marks around vaccination. Pretty much two types of people comment on the blog- those of us that know it isn't actually a vaccination, and those that have swallowed the Kool-Aid and believe Dr Fraudci and insist it is because he said so. (or the CDC or some other official organization has SAID SO!) Easy to tell who's who in the comment section.

But, but, but they are the elites!! Remember Obama's 60th Birthday?? A New York Times reporter went on CNN and quoted a Vineyard resident as saying the Obamas were fine because they invited “a sophisticated, vaccinated crowd.”

THIS is why we point and laugh at them. They are hypocrites and always will be. They hate us.

As I watch stadiums full of sports fans - with no massive outbreaks - and then see a bunch of DC insiders suddenly claim to have COVID, I wonder if they really have it at all.

Or if it's just another case of signalling their fucking virtue and seeing who can win the latest victim sweepstakes.
