Al Gore gets his happy ending.

Tipper left him for a reason. And it was not because he was set up.

If this was Cheney or Rove facing this "evidence", the the Portland Dems would be shouting that the proof is compelling and list 10 best reasons that he is guilty.

I am not criticizing the Portland cops. The story was conflicted and weird. I can't imagine a prosecutor taking such a case, with or without a high publicity individual like Al Gore. If anything, Al had to go through the process again just to show he wasn't getting a free ride.

Who knows what really happened. Really only Al and the woman involved.

But I am sure Tipper has some issues with Al and it did not involve merely growing apart.

M'kay.

Let's see what the other women have to say.

And what is a married man doing having massages in his hotel suite?

The people who attacked Clinton on Monica were prissy and ridiculous, but let me tell you it was no fun, as a feminist and a woman, waving aside as politically irrelevant and part of the vast rightwing conspiracy Paula, Monica, Kathleen, Juanita.

When the Portland PD snaps its fingers you will remember nothing about the totally convincing interview this victim gave that we all read on the internet 2 months ago...ready...SNAP!

Well, Alpha will be happy - for about 10 nanoseconds.

Alpha will be happy ONLY because Gore is a democrat. If this was a republican, Alpha would be screaming for special prosecutors and bitching about the "fat cats" buying justice.

This is what he was after the whole time.

""He respects and appreciates the thorough and professional work of the Portland authorities and is pleased that this matter has now been resolved.""

Have you noticed that the accused and their accuser are bound to each other more than they are to the law, law enforcement, judge, jury, their supporters or detractors?

Just ONE of life's ironies.

"Insufficient evidence" is a long way from "never happened."

Funny, I thought the latest meme was that "insufficient evidence" was synonymous with "never happened." As in, insufficient evidence that Tea Partiers hurled racial slurs at black lawmakers outside the Capitol meant that it never, ever, could have possibly happened at all in any way no matter what.

::shrug:: I could be wrong.

Could somebody please find a reason to sue Andrew Breitbart over this somehow? ;)

The Birkenstock tribe got quite a scare there. No one mixes self-importance, Southern Baptist preacher style doomsaying, moralism, poetry and politics quite like the Goracle.

No one knows poor Al's soul...or what may have happened out on the road...except maybe Gaia.

Seems to me you missed a big point there, Mr. Buddwing...

The real change is that a man's WORD is no longer good enough. We need video, with sound!

Or so some say.

Let's hope those "few" fall up against their own microphones and that their tripods are sturdy enough to hold one big ass panorama camera.

Is there anyone on earth who thinks that the evidence as presented makes for a prosecutable case? If so, please introduce that person to anyone on earth who thinks that Gore ordered a $500 midnight massage for purposes of relaxation. Such people should breed and intermarry. The world needs more trust.......Here is the salacious detail that the Enquirer omitted for reasons of decency: Gore was wearing bunny slippers when he made his demand and that just totally freaked out the masseuse.

Blasphemous, Chicklit!

Instapundit taught us all that there will be NO internet sewers...

Or something like that. ;)

Ann - Stop acting like a fucking tea bagger idiot:

After a four-week investigation that included interviews with Gore, the masseuse, her acquaintances and hotel staff, authorities said there was no basis for prosecution.

Senior deputy district attorney Don Rees cited "contradictory evidence, conflicting witness statements, credibility issues, lack of forensic evidence and denials by Mr Gore".

Rees also said the masseuse and her attorneys were uncooperative, witnesses could not remember anything unusual, and that the masseuse failed a polygraph examination and would not say whether she was paid by a tabloid newspaper for her story.

And how did the Perfesser do that? By linking to a Washington Post article saying that the whole matter had been dropped??? How irresponsible!

(Projecting a little, are we?)

A law professor blog site and 99% of the people who spend their lives here are nothing but right wing assholes who could give a flying fuck about the facts or evidence.

You're ONLY here to bitch and whine about anything that doesn't fit the tea bagger mentality.

And Ann Althouse is the leader of the disgusting pack.

By posting this as part of her headline: "Al Gore gets his happy ending."

She could have easily represented the result as an example of the "evidence" and "facts" revealing the woman to be nothing more than a liar.

She didn't and she never does.

But don't let me stop you from continuing to suck on her.

Projecting, aren't we? You obviously don't know anything about me apart from the fact that I decline to suck on you! Which makes me a BAD PERSON.

In other news, Jeremy wants to know why Karl Rove has not been perp walked when DHOTUS and Eric Holder have had 18 months to nail that bastard.

You have not established that she is a liar, you rabid, drooling libtard hyena. Nor have the police.

You would think errand boys like you would have learned something after the democrat spin machine targeted Monica Lewinsky to portray her as a deranged stalker - until she came up with the blue Gap dress that exposed the democrat machine for what it really is.

It's not enough for charges to be dropped. No. Not for you little eichmanns. You have to keep going after the little people until their reputations are destroyed, and damn the consequences to anyone, EVEN when you have no evidence whatsoever.

Let's look at the BEST case available to Al Gore: A married man was calling a masseuse up to his hotel room at midnight, and was naked when she got to the room. That's the most charitable reading of the facts possible.

And the most charitable reading of your posts is you're an intellectually dishonest half-wit who dreamt for years of working as a political hatchet man and PR flack, but you would have been fired inside of 24 hours by any democrat team in the country for sheer stupidity and incompetence.

Why would it make a difference if he was married or not?

tim maguire said...

The mere fact that Gore claims to remember these massages shows that he's covering up something.

Just doing some "back of the envelope" calculations and i think you have some apologizing to do to FLS, AL, LoafingOaf and the bunch....

ok, ok I get it. You must not be putting yourself in the 1%. I'll be sure to read more thoroughly next time before I comment.

@AJ:
Yeah, if there's not a better reason for libs to call for the resignation of Eric Holder, it's got to be that he hasn't arrested, tried, and convicted Karl Rove of something.

As to this case, it comes down to a "he said, she said" and no way to corroborate her story. You got to trial with what you have, and the Oregon prosecutor decided he didn't want to take a chance and lose.

The internet really brings out the worst in people. Or maybe it's just that the worst people get to crash gatherings at which they would never be welcome in real life.
