This Manhattanite would never deign to eat a burger at the Hard Rock Cafe.
Well, they're just in time. Real estate in NYC has been declining for a while, and a lot of projects are in trouble. The natives, and perhaps even the native-americans, stand to profit on this deal.

The Indians sold Manhattan for what they thought it was worth. We then fought a war, they fought bravely, but we won.
I'm glad the Seminoles have a good business thing going on, but after hearing the usual whine, I won't be eating there. I wouldn't anyway, but that's besides the point. Gambling is actually the point, isn't it?
Oh, and I also will not be watching the entire white guilt/mischief video.

I always thought it was the finest example of poetic justice that after the Indians (Native Americans, whatever) succumbed to drink, a vice "we" Whites (Europeans, whatever) encouraged for the sake of their destruction, today they turn around and exploit one of "our" vices, the desire for quick and easy money. Of course, they have to keep us alive so they can keep the cash flow going, but the irony is exquisite nonetheless.
If the Seminoles and the Cherokees and the rest had figured out 200 years ago that the way to survive was to buy commercial property, there would be a lot more of them around today--and, for better or worse, America would be a completely different place--maybe more like India.
