The only thing that should be on offer to Maxwell for testimony is immunity on that testimony and that her parole will not be opposed by the DoJ when she is first eligible for it (it would still be up to the parole board, however).

I really don't understand why Trump would pardon Maxwell. What would be in it for him? If she supported Trump's claim of non-involvement in Epstein's crimes AFTER Trump pardoned her, obviously no Trump-hater would believe her. In fact, they would claim that the pardon was evidence of Trump's guilt. Perhaps she could blow the whistle on others involved in Epstein's crimes, who have so far escaped notice, but really why should Trump care? Suppose she revealed that someone -- oh, say, Obama -- went to the island. That might be fun for a few weeks, but hardly worth the effort.

The Dems have gotten far more political mileage from things far more specious and dubious. Maxwell is taking full advantage.
