Trump has pressured Israel by threatening US weapons sales and other forms of aid, which he would cut off if Israel continues killing the HAMAS terrorists located in Gaza ... land that Trump has been eyeing for a new hotel, apparently.
It's unknown why Trump would pressure one of our staunchest allies to cease killing Muslim terrorists like those who took down the Twin Towers in Manhattan.
Maybe he's on their side.

There looks to be at least three unchangeable no votes among House Republicans. These include:
Thomas Massie, KY is said to be a firm no and also voted against the original House version.
David Valadao from CA whose district is 64% Medicaid recipients. He voted for the original House version that didn't cut Medicaid as much.
Ralph Norman from SC who is a deficit hawk and said this bill is a non-starter. He voted for the original House version but the Senate version may be a bridge too far.
Andy Harris, chairman of the House Freedom Caucus. He has said he will join in blocking the bill without changes and also voted 'present' for the original House version of the bill and the Senate version is worse from his perspective.
Young Kim from CA is also a no on the legislation because of Medicaid language and the rollback of solar energy credits.

BTW saw some films this week: Under the Rooftops of Paris, Bete Humaine (Jean Gabin), Le Million, and Who'll stop the Rain (Nick Nolte). All except the last, were very good.
"Who'll stop the Rain" had a good cast, Nolte, Weld, Michael Moriarity, but the Director Raza wasn't good at action or cinemaphotography. Plus despite being adapted (at least in part) by the novel's author, the book really doesn't translate well to the screen. Movies not only have to condense novels, but they cant show what characters think. Or get inside their heads. Or provide much background. Maybe Peckinpah could've done something with it. Assuming he wasn't zoned out on Coke or drunk by Noon.

Josephbleau, speaking of Hemingway contests, Harry's Bar & American Grill in Century City, CA used to have one too. The goal was to write "one page of the best bad Hemingway". First prize was a trip to the Harry:s in Italy. Finals judging was by noted writers over drinks at Harry's. Entries came from all over the world. One of my great achievements in life was to make it to the finals one year. Bad Hemingway is really great when everyone is drunk...and when someone else pays with the great card. The card of many colors. The one that they call VISA.
