Beautifully captured a peaceful lake morning, very nice.

Your daily reminder that your contempt for the media should always plumb new depths :

..."Senator Ted Cruz, Republican of Texas, is once again facing public criticism for being out of the country when his state was hit hard by a natural disaster...."

..."As floodwaters surged in Central Texas on Friday morning, Mr. Cruz was on a planned family vacation in Greece. The senator “promptly booked a flight” back home..."

How dare Cruz fail to be prescient about natural disasters affecting his state ??!

Trump can't figure out why people are still talking about Epstein.

That's old news, he says. It's debunked.

Pam Bondi didn't really have the Epstein list sitting on her desk, being reviewed for release, Trump says.

These aren't the droids you're looking for, Trump said, waving his hand at assembled reporters.

Nobody had the temerity to ask why Ghislane Maxwell is in jail for recruiting up and coming whores, not quite legal mind you, to bang Jeff's friends on the Lolita Express.

Columbia has just settled, admitting the pervasive antisemtism and pogroms on campus against Jews. The terms also stipulate that it can no longer conspire with campus terorists like CUAD, SJP and JVP.

Poor Robert Kook hit hardest- remember last year when he said that this wasn't happening? I guess he gets the Kak/Richsockpuppet award this week.

U.S. President Donald Trump told President Volodymyr Zelensky during a phone call on July 4 that he was not responsible for the suspension of U.S. arms shipments to Ukraine, The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) reported on July 7, citing unnamed sources familiar with the matter.
The suspension of aid, which includes Patriot air defense missiles and precision-guided munitions, has drawn criticism from Kyiv amid an intensifying Russian aerial campaign that has killed and injured hundreds of civilians in recent weeks.
According to WSJ, Trump told the Ukrainian president that he had ordered a review of Pentagon munitions stockpiles following last month's U.S. strikes on Iran's nuclear sites, but he did not direct the military to halt weapons deliveries.
NBC News reported on July 4 that Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth unilaterally halted the shipment to Ukraine on July 2, despite internal Pentagon assessments showing the aid would not compromise U.S. military readiness.
According to Politico, U.S. Special Envoy Keith Kellogg and Defense Minister Rustem Umerov are scheduled to meet in Rome later this week to discuss restarting U.S. military aid to Ukraine.
Trump did not acknowledge a halt in U.S. weapons shipments to Ukraine. On July 7, he said the U.S. would provide Ukraine with "more weapons," pointing to the scale of Russia's attacks.
"They have to be able to defend themselves, they're getting hit very hard now," Trump told reporters alongside a U.S. and Israeli delegation at the White House.

No sanctions on Russia, No military or National Guard to Texas, No 80 deals in 90 days (send em letters, the great negotiator!..Cmon man you guys got a lame duck here.. :)

Amazon Prime day started today. It runs through the end of the work week this year. I picked up a few things (using the Althouse Amazon portal of course.) If anyone is interested in a nice blender, the VitaMix 5200 is on sale for about $350, it is normally about $500. A bit pricey for a blender but it is the standard blender in commercial kitchens, very durable, and has a 7 year warranty.

5:51: love how the jagged edges of the cloud bank echo the jagged edges of the tree line. A new day. We should always be very, very thankful.

I just have one question. Who killed JFK?
God answers: Lee Harvey Oswald.
Man reacts: This goes even deeper than I thought.

The Vitamix blender that Vault Dweller bought has 9% (more than 700) 1-star ratings. Serious and specific bad problems show up on the site. Fortunately, Amazon will accept a return at no charge.

"President Barack Obama. Not CIA Director John Brennan. Not Director of National Intelligence James Clapper. And not FBI Director James Comey. But President Barack Obama. The 44th president of the United States, directed the intelligence community to interfere in the peaceful transition of power to his successor -- Donald Trump. And for that Obama should forevermore be considered a pariah in presidential history.

Last week, CIA Director John Ratcliffe released the agency’s review of the Intelligence Community Assessment (ICA) on “Russia’s Influence Campaign Targeting the 2016 US Presidential Election.” The CIA’s review exposed extensive problems with “the procedures and analytic tradecraft employed” by the intelligence community in crafting the ICA, revealing at the same time the role Brennan, Clapper, and Comey played in the corrupt process."

Wouldn't it be neat if Brennan, Comey, and Clapper did a plea deal and threw BHO under the bus?

Trump comes out against the Chi-Coms buying US farmland. A veritable no brainer, which is why the Dem-Coms will come out against it. You know, to keep their streak alive.

There's not much of a bus to throw him under, thanks to the SCOTUS ruling that drastically limits what a POTUS can be prosecuted for. This fact pattern probably fits in the middle category of the Court's tripartite test. Obama could make the argument that he really believed Trump to be a threat to the democratic system, justifying the Endlosung des Trumpfrage.

I guess they could just make plea deals to mention Obama in their allocution, so it is always on record. Better than nothing.

Thanks a whole lot, whoever introduced the Based Camp podcast here - I have been down some very weird rabbit holes over the past week or so. The dude on it bugs me with his mansplaining and interruptions and at times frank condescension toward his wife, and the wife bugs me with her ready submission to his opinion about things relating to her or to women.

But they do bring very interesting points of view, so I'm still down the rabbit hole.
