You should have gone!
Well, can't get involved in love triangle drama if you don't put the camera on any romantic couples. I wonder if they intentionally chose only men for the camera assuming there was a greater risk of drama or people getting upset if the camera and accompanying limerick was focused on women. Regardless of how well it is intentioned, gentle banter isn't always received as it is intended when it is a man directing it at a woman.
que bueno
Sonny Bono.
Yoko Ono.
I like that he recognized the Prince T-shirt (and put it into an instant song).
But he didn't discern the Grateful Dead T-shirts (on the mushroom-headed guys).

Nope. You sure do assume...
He just focused on the 'shrooms not the shirt for that ditty. He had already done the "you wore another artists shirt to a Coldplay concert" song...
Keep up. Don't assume because your brain goes one way that's the best, or only, way to go or think. Never assume what others have thought, or not. Often they are several steps ahead of you, back there laden down with your trivia, low culture, and distractable mind.
You're not all that, althouse. it's ok. but someone should have told you that by now... have a great week. the world doesn't revolve around what you want, boomer. you're not all that.
Pro bono.
I dunno.
Cam bonus w/o Pam Bondi
Good idea to skip the concert. The cost to go seems high.
Looks like a fun, great time - except for the music.
We had a coldplay concert in my area, and I didn't see many good looking chicks going into the concert. Maybe Winsconsin girls are better looking.
Begley Bonah?
I kinda wonder why people are acting like Coldplay invented this idea. I was going to minor league baseball games in the 1990s that turned the low-rent jumbotron camera on couples at least once a game.

Contendre, nolo.
Damn I hate fast cuts. Who started that? Why won't they let you focus on anything?
They've driven three generations to distraction with it.
It's homophobic to assume those were not romantic couples.
I once won a contest and won two tickets to a Coldplay concert.
Second prize was four tickets.
I once attended a heavy metal concert where the band had a few guys with huge flashlights in the crowd and asked the women to "Show us your t*ts". At least a dozen or two women did so. Some climbed on their boyfriend's shoulders and spun around for all to see. The put a bigger stage spotlight on the showoffs.
I wasn't in New Orleans either.
If only they had asked her to show 'em, it wouldn't have been an issue. But grown-up, adult contemporary, Coldplay appeals to a lot of soccer moms.
coldplay - bigger than U2?
I'm ok with that.
They could’ve avoided ALL of this with some quick-thinking and a passable demonstration of teh Heimlich Maneuver.

I haven't seen the kiss cam attributed to Coldplay, but I think it might have invented this routine of getting someone -- or 2 or 3 -- on camera and then singing a little "hello" song to them that actually uses something about them in lyrics — the Super Mario hats, the Prince T-shirt, the "Elton John" suit, the mushroom hats. That was really sweet and charming... and kept the focus on Chris Martin (the lead singer).
I don't really follow Coldplay, but I think their vibe is gentle niceness and soothing pleasantness.

These two things are not unrelated. I'm questioning the wisdom of allowing a friend to persuade me to drop a few hundred bucks to see what is left of The Who next month.
Did they play Jump Around?
Last major concert I went to was Paul McCartney more than a decade ago. It was amazing. I got the tickets for free from a radio show call-in and took my daughter. I don't think I would qualify for a loan large enough to go to a concert nowadays or a Broadway show for that matter.

I saw him on that tour, and he was indeed in fine form. Worth the $300 it cost me and my wife to see him from afar, although I wouldn't do it again now that I have seen one of the Beatles in the flesh.

That's a play on the old Pete Axthelm joke - the Broken Windshield Special.
A football fan leaves two tickets to a lousy game on the dashboard of his car. Comes back, windshield is broken and there are now four tickets.
#MeToo2025 is for CEOs and HR directors who are romantically involved.
