I had to take Parking Lot Pete to the vet yesterday - for a booster shot and some blood work. anyhow - as you walk into the vestibule, there is a sandwich board with the names of all the pets with appointments. The names on the board were double what I usually see. Crammed full of names!
I said to the vet tech - you must be really busy today. and she said - yes, prior to the 4th of July we get a lot of people who needs meds for their stressed out dogs. mmm hmmmm .
Trump is very, very funny. One of his best qualities.
My old Maine Coon cat was very dog-like in many ways, and especially in being freaked out by 4th of July fireworks.

You know what I hate? Glock "swtiches"...the component that turns Glocks full auto (look it up). They're everywhere now and bangers have them in every city, and on my way today to a party I clearly heard one...likely being fired into the air spraying 33 9mm rounds in every frickin direction with zero regard for the safety of literally everyone within a 2 mile radius.
It's not the full auto I have a problem with (I'm a class 3 owner myself), just this annual disregard some people have for the safety of others, especially children, some of whom are injured or killed by these lowlife every year...there's a story yearly.
Stay safe out there. Sometimes it is definitely not fireworks.

You are so right, DB. And I’ve been a Ron Johnson supporter from the day he shot out of the gate on his way to putting out to pasture Russ Feingold once and for all. I had no idea what great senator he would turn out to be. My first choice for POTUS in 2028. Go, President RoJo, go!

Trump stopped them from tearing down the Jefferson memorial. Good for him. And the fireworks line, very funny. Trump's our funniest POTUS since Reagan.

You HAVE TO give the 1st Minnesota Volunteers credit.
They were told to, "Attack that line!".. and they DID.
During the charge, 215 of the 262 who made the charge became casualties within five minutes (82% casualties).
That included the unit commander, Col. William Colvill, and all but three of his captains.
They were outnumbered about FIVE to one, and didn't Just slow down the rebels.. They caused the rebels to fall back
