While it may offend sensibilities, I appreciate the integrity. I strongly suspect this is what he is like behind the scenes too. Meanwhile, so many of the politicians of the past had shiny public personas but were horrifically crass and abusive behind the scenes (LBJ for instance). And people knew it and were fine with it.
That was an era where people posed and postured, but we're in a very untrusting era where we are suspicious about any posturing or taped-on persona. Which makes Vance more likeable and trustworthy than Newsom, who is a throwback to the 20th century.
Vance is more polished and can be more clear and concise than Trump. And he's 10x better than Pence. Who wasn't worth a nickel.

Your problem is that every time taxes are actually reduced revenues go up significantly.

Early 70s ... I was watching a blowout on Monday Night Football. At the end of the game, the stands were nearly empty and a camera focused on a fan sitting alone in his section. He somehow realized the camera was on him and flipped the bird to it.
Gifford and Cosell were too flummoxed to say anything. While the director left the camera on the fan, Don Meredith ad libbed "He thinks they're number one in the nation."
I never noticed how long his fingers were until now. He probably would have been an excellent piano player if he had grown up in a normal middle class family.

Recent weeks have had every major and minor progressive cursing and being crass and vulgar. Jasmine Crockett, AOC, Newsome, Old James Carville, Young David Hogg, Old Woopie, Old Joy, Young Ted Liu etc.)
Trump and Vance troll as a team, they are now positioning themselves for the righteous moral indignation OP-Eds from our blue-nosed betters talking about how foul language has no place in our democracy.
Yet again Trump is getting his enemies to vocalize something that makes them look hypocritical or silly. It is his magical skill.
