— Elon Musk (@elonmusk) March 28, 2025ADDED: Listen to the clear succinct — almost robotic — voice of OPM Senior Advisor Anthony Armstrong (at 17:35):
"President Trump has been very clear: Scalpel and not hatchet. That's the way it's getting done, once those decisions are made. There's a very heavy focus on being generous, being caring, being compassionate, and treating everyone with dignity and respect."

I have yet to watch. Thanks for linking.
I will just say - shame on all the Democrat Party Alphabet networks. You all suck.
It's worth a listen and can easily be sped up to 1.5x or faster. I'm not astonished anymore by government absurdities. We invited all of this into the house when we stopped creating budgets on an annual basis, so that we could be reminded of our deficits. So at this point, we've lost all sense of fiscal probity, and the populace has been lulled into thinking that government doesn't have to be disciplined. It's even gotten to the point where government encourages a substantial portion of the populace that they don't need to be financially disciplined, either. Student debt? No Problem !
Aggie - I recall when the democrats stopped doing budgets - it was under Pelosi.
This transparency should shame the left, but it won’t. They’re lost.
Also, kudos to the business leaders in that interview. They’ve basically put targets on their own backs, given what Musk has endured.
The people fighting the effort to make government more efficient and responsive through eliminating waste, fraud, redundancy and outright theft are evil and should be made examples of.
Chuck Schumer will reap the toast.
Putting a face on the people of DOGE replete with rational testimonials about what they are doing and what they have found goes a long way to kill the DOGE boogieman narrative.
In response, whether or not an official or advocate appreciates the urgency and importance of what DOGE is doing acts as a real separator between who is part of the problem and who is part of the solution.
All sympathy for the parasites, no sympathy for the host.
The interview was a good start. It was needed. They have been doing great work, shining a light on, digging into, and laying bare the immense amount of waste and fraud that is affectionately known as our Federal Government. It is the largest albatross in history right now, and they're trying to pare it down to a manageable size.
That will not happen. But hopefully, they can pare it down to substantially less than it currently is. Though...the very nature of government is that it will expand again once these people leave.
That said, no other networks in our midst have the smarts or the courage to do this sort of exposure to what is happening. And it is incumbent on DOGE to get a marketing wing- an employee or two in the Administration, whose job it is to get out there and talk about this intelligently, encouraging people to follow the website. They need to- daily- shine bright lights on what is uncovered. And keep dripping it, every day. Only then will they have a chance to undo the labeling that has gone on by those trying to keep the fraud in place.
Standing in the way in an attempt to thwart the DOGE effort is unforgivable. It may not be treason, per se, but it is treasonous.
The most amazing thing about it is that the goal is cutting the deficit in half, from $2T to $1T. Only $1T shortfall--success! And even that is ambitious.
What a great interview of truly patriotic Americans. They all are at the top of the food chain and willing to step deep into it because it is the right thing to do. The democrats and republicans and judges who continue to try and stop them truly are willing to risk the country for political power.
I must also say that I am extremely proud to be a member of the political party risking their political careers to do what is right for the country. I NEVER thought I would see a political party with the courage to do this. I had always assumed the best we could do would be to put in an arbitrary 2% reduction in growth or something like that, that allowed the cowardly politicians cover. Like the base closing commission.
And I do agree DOGE needs a publicist. They are doing such great work. But with the smearing by the democrat media, it is just not being appreciated.
“Iman said...

I just could not agree more.
think on this: AS soon as the corrupt democrat party re-gain power... all of the work Doge is doing - will be for nothing.
We will be back to no budgets, massive democrat dollar printing, massive government hiring schemes, massive inflation, massive illegal immigration, massive punitive taxation, massive DEI bullcrap, massive waste and fraud and lies... and their hack media to cover and lie for them, and a return to the censorship by democrats.
More of this, please. Democrats argue that of course they're in favor of cutting waste, just not how DOGE is doing so. Make them own up to their words by openly and aggressively explaining the how's and why's. Simply listing the programs and costs isn't enough.
On a separate but related note, NASA continues to shift manned space flight missions from Boeing's Starliner to SpaceX's Drew Dragon because Boeing constructed a lemon. Remember that when morons criticize Musk for taking government subsidies. At least he delivers for the investment, and without him and SpaceX the U.S. space program would be dead in the water.
The last time we had a budget was during the late 90s, under Newt Gingrich. The Republicans helped to destroy the budget process, and helped to support the greed, grift, and corruption.
Doge is doing great work, and it will be a waste of time.
No one in Congress, on either side of the aisle, wants them to succeed. So far, nothing has been voted on, put into law etc. And I doubt anything meaningful will.
Congress just got back from a two week vacation, and had a 4 day work week, and left for the weekend.
No one in DC wants this to succeed. and the price to Musk, Trump, and anyone connected to them will be devastating.
Republican voters have taken a holiday as well. 5 special elections since Nov. and the left won each one. Again, the GOP does nothiing to support people like scott presler, while Dem Pac funnel millions into these races.
Drag your feet for a short 4 years. buy enough races to control legislatures, and then spend time destroying Doge and its allies.
That's what is coming, unless Congressional Republicans grow testicles and treat this as a war. Instead, they seem to think its business as usual=lots of time, lots of grift= the usual BS.
All those men are true patriots. They are saving the country from economic collapse. And I'm not exaggerating.
People need to understand that the Dems do want economic collapse.
Bobby laying off 10k at HHS is no big deal.
Elon said he will cut $1 trillion from the budget by May.
I already did my part by stopping at least $390 million in spending and I'm working on more!
I'm working on getting a medal from Trump: Hero of the Republic or Citizen Assistant to DOGE.

I disagree. Or at least, I hope that you are wrong about this. I don't disagree that the corrupt regime will try to do what you say.
What Musk and the DOGE people are talking about is not "political," it is rationalizing and updating broken and outdated systems which facilitate fraud and wasteful processes. While as a political partisan I believe that one of the most significant aspects of this process is that it exposes and shuts off some of the more egregious Democrat propaganda and piggybank operations, that is not its primary purpose, nor is it what the American public will necessarily see as the primary benefit.
If (a very big "if") DOGE can update and rationalize these systems, make them more user-friendly and transparent, provide accountability, and save lots of money in the process, it will be that much harder for the Dems to reestablish what they have built within the existing structure. Because people will see real benefits.
Trump and Musk are treating the American public as consumers, not subjects. I hold out the hope that this can succeed, because concrete benefits outweigh promises and threats. Can any modern corporation survive doing what it was doing 30 years ago?
I say this with full recognition that there will be an overwhelming effort by those currently benefitting from the status quo (Democrat, Republican, and other) to oppose every aspect of this, using every means and method available.

Think about the leverage Putin would have right now over the US in negotiating the end of the Ukraine war if Russia was the only ride to and from the ISS for American astronauts.

This isn't at ALL what the DNC-Media is telling me about DOGE!
According to leftie polls this is what the country in the right direction sounds like...
..a robotic carving out of waste, fraud and abuse by tech guys volunteering their time...
Agree that these men are making themselves the targets of insane leftists to try and get the USA back on track.I hope for all of us they succeed and that service improves so much that smaller government is viewed favorably by most Americans.
The 'Retirement Mine' alone is astonishing.
"On a separate but related note, NASA continues to shift manned space flight missions from Boeing's Starliner to SpaceX's Drew Dragon because Boeing constructed a lemon. " And now they will be building our next generation fighter airplane. Woopie!
FWIW the DOGE haters:
- Won't watch the interviews
- Won't believe anything the can't avoid hearing from the interviews, and
- Will believe any unsubstantiated refutations of the interviewees.
TDS/MDS is a virtually incurable mental illness.
If you're at all concerned about where all your taxes have been going, then this interview is mandatory viewing. Musk is being careful to be transparent about DOGE. What is the left's argument against what DOGE is doing?
They claim to be cutting $4B/day. $130B so far in total. $1T by the end of the calendar year is possible.
They need to get better PR on this. Any one of a number of those very sane and normal sounding CEOs on the panel could go on Rogan every week and give an executive summary of what they've accomplished.
I think they also need to go into the belly of the beast at MSNBC and CNN and expose the media bias directly.
DOGE is an effort to mitigate chaos that would progress from touching the third rail: medical, education, and pentagon in decreasing order.
Anthony Anderson does not have a “robotic”voice. He is speaking as some who has dealt with idiotic press in his real world and he speaking carefully and thoughtfully. He knows exactly how the idiot press will try to demolish anything he has to say.
Is it robotic?
Great points by Howard @11:59AM.
