Do you think vandalizing Tesla dealerships is more or less likely to get Musk to abandon his DOGE efforts?
Looking back on Covidiocy, I wish groups of individuals had burned their vaccine record cards in public — but legacy media wouldn’t have covered that.

As Dinky demonstrates, the leftists can't really post any of their stupid crap anymore while sober.
They realize that everyone hates them now. Even Bill Maher.

The progs have also lost Ezra Klein and John Stewart.
I hope they continue the violence.
They all need to spend time in jail or just be moved out of the country forever.
Here in the USA they tried to keep Trump off the ballot, tried to throw him in jail before the election, then shot him in the head. In Romania, they invalidated Georgescu’s first round electoral win, kicked him off the ballot and arrested him. In Austria the most popular party has been excluded from the government by the bien pensants. They are trying to bar Marine LePen from office in France. The German establishment refused to form a government with the second most popular party, which they want to ban. In the UK they’ve canceled elections that Reform would win. Meanwhile the elected outsiders: Meloni, Fico, Orban, Milei, are reviled as “authoritarian”. But it’s not hard to see who the real authoritarians are.
The outsider government of the US has taken notice — Vice President Vance most notably — of the illiberal establishment in Europe. Our administration has its share of outsiders who have been abused by the establishment: DNI Gabbard, Director Patel, Secretary Kennedy, Dr. Bhattacharya, etc.
Trump ought to drop the hammer on Europe to the greatest extent possible to urge them to allow democracy to flourish there (& free speech, too).
The green pollen that covers the outside world now is bad enough, but the oak crap (tassel) is piling up too. The dogwoods, azaleas, and camellias that have survived the last few winters are blooming gloriously, though, so it's all good.
+1 to Lucien
Our elections are fake. They're designed to create the illusion of choice.
An ID isn't required. Anyone can vote. There is never any auditing that occurs. Challenges cannot be heard in court as you won't have standing or a hundred other reasons and there simply isn't time because our courts are designed to not solve the fake election problem.
If you were going to have a fake election system, how would you design it differently than this?
This is what Elon Musk cannot get his autistic brain wrapped around. As long as our elections are fake, then he can accomplish nothing really. The insiders are laughing at his feeble attempts knowing he hasn't touched them in the least. He's making temporary tactical wins.
Nothing strategic. Nothing that cannot be undone in 5 minutes once their back in.
“The progs have also lost Ezra Klein and John Stewart.”
Good. May they wander in the Sonoran Desert for the next 40 years.

Too Icy here to go to the rally. Was watching American Idol but paused to watch the link. It is great to hear Elon in our back yard talking common sense. Progressives continue to push their Party line. Have they jumped the shark yet?
People indulge Musk in this intellectual arrogance. If he takes the US Government and goes back to first principles he'll find himself having the same arguments the Founding Fathers had and encountering the same contradictions that they baked into the constitution.
It's politics, it's people. You can't just go back to first principles as in engineering or physics because there aren't any. It's not a rational game.
The beauty of being the boss for a high-functioning autist is that you don't have to tolerate fools. He's in charge, if he doesn't like someone or doesn't want to have to deal with their feelings he can fire them or shout them down. In a modern democracy you have to deal with idiots.
A core part of the reason people vote for Trump is because they were tired of democracy and power having been farmed out to the "rational" rules of the markets. The GDP figures and economists showed that immigration was good but that didn't seem right to people. Sending jobs to China was good according to market rules but actually they would rather labor pointlessly hard in a steel mill because it's more romantic.
When DOGE's AI system returns what is according to its own algorithms a highly rational 99.999% accurate and fair result and the people don't like it they will experience the exact same sense of alienation that led them to vote for Trump in the first place. For the majority of people it's the irrationality that makes life worth living. They live for the love, luck and ludicrous.
The delightful irony of it all of course is that this precise doublethinking stupidity of these people is exactly what has elevated Musky to power. If they were actually themselves analytical and intellectually consistent they wouldn't want him anywhere near power as they would see in him everything they're voting against.

The delightful irony of these posts by rich is that he has been wrong about everything for years and he is too stupid to see he is making the exact same mistakes in this post.
Rich is too stupid to look in the mirror and figure out why all his predictions are wrong.
See you in a year when we are in the middle of all the RICO cases Rich.
I think that Hillary is the last card that the neocons have to play to keep their grift of endless war going, and I think that they are going to play it, and I think that supposed friends of the working class who call themselves members of the left are going to cheer her on so that working class young men can be sent off to fight in overseas wars so that the rich old men who own these weapons companies can buy ponies for their granddaughters.
If they wire Hillary into the nomination, it will be all about her being the last acceptable warmonger to the rank and file Democrats, who, to be honest, are not really consulted meaningfully when it comes to who the candidate is anyway.
Dane County sounds like a hellhole.
Elon expects to have the blind seeing in 2025.
We need a new Mt. Rushmore with Musk, Trump, Rush and Reagan on it.

Musk wants to ensure that the right wing gerrymandering in Wisconsin continues… yes we have your number, we know what you’re all about. Even if you can deceive Trumpist Veterans, the elderly and the disabled about not taking away their benefits, we know when it comes to it, Trump and you care nothing for these people. We know that you’re working to maintain your power over the little people for your own world view and financial benefit that can buy you power, and even a presidency, though unelected.
You don't know shit, Inga.
Per Elon, Japan is losing 1m in population per year.
A problem!
“Where did Alex’s [Japan’s] hope go? “
In Wisconsin the ballot and the counting is protected so the cheating goes on outside that system. In other words, you have to show ID to vote in Wisconsin AND a paper version of your ballot is created and stored. So our cheaters have had to work out how to cheat the systems everyone else is trying to get to because we'd gotten to those systems.
So, first, we are doing turbo-gerrymandering which is done just before each election based on the previous election. You see, our electoral maps were drawn by the Dem governor and a Dem legislature only a few years ago - but before 2024. So the maps don't reflect the rightward drift that became apparent in 2024. We in Wisconsin need new maps that wriggle along through the remaining solid Dem areas before the 2026 elections. And Susan Crawford will do the job if elected.
But even turbo-gerrymandering is not enough. You need a good vote harvesting operation. A good Wisconsin trick is to have people in city government going around to "help" fill out mail-in ballot applications and then helping to fill in mail-in ballots in the districts that use a lot of city services. No one says that you need to accept "help" in filling the ballot out or you won't get help when you need it in filling out applications or fixing clerical errors. No need.
As the song says, "Everything's up to date in Milwaukee City/They've gone about as far as they can go."

The longer the Harry Sisson-like LLR-democratical Rich post, the more astonishingly mindless and incoherent it is.
We are still waiting for the very first Abacus Boy post that remotely comes tangentially close to reality....

Here's how Marc Andreessen describes Musk's role in his companies: {quoting…}
MARC ANDREESSEN: ELON SOLVES PROBLEMS FASTER THAN OTHER COMPANIES ORGANIZE MEETINGS
“Elon has developed an operating method that is very unusual by modern standards.
The top line thing is this incredible devotion from the leader of the company to fully, deeply understand what the company does, to be completely knowledgeable about every aspect of it, and to be in the trenches and talking directly to the people who do the work, deeply understanding the issues and being the lead problem-solver in the organization.
Basically, Elon shows up every week at each of his companies.
He identifies the biggest problem that the company's having that week, and he fixes it.
He does that every week for 52 weeks in a row, so each of his companies has solved the 52 biggest problems in that year.
Most other large companies are still having the planning meeting for the pre-planning meeting for the board meeting, for the presentation, with the compliance review and the legal review.
So it's this level of both an incredible intellectual capability coupled with an incredible force of personality, a moral authority, an execution capability, a focus on fundamentals that is just really amazing to watch.”

If Musk is successful here in Wisconsin, if he can buy a seat on a state supreme court in Wisconsin-- he’s going try that in other places as well. This is his test case.
There is a flip side to Musk wanting to buy an election.
It appears there are lots of voters wanting to sell.
Seems like free markets at work finding a price equilibrium.
Sadly this equilibrium stands at a $100 dollars a head, democracy seems low in market capitalization.

Wildswan, if you want to make this claim perhaps you should look when the last redistrictings have been and who controlled the Legislature then. You claim goes against easily verified facts showing the Republicans have controlled the legislature for the past 15+ years including the last two time district lines were changed.
You conspiracy theory doesn't have legs to stand on.
" You see, our electoral maps were drawn by the Dem governor and a Dem legislature only a few years ago - but before 2024."
Secretary Hegseth just announced equalization of combat standards for men and women. You can’t be against this (women won’t be able to qualify) and FOR biological men competing in women’s sports (women are just as strong and fast)
The French courts seem to have managed to pull off something that the US courts could not. LePen has been barred from public office to prevent her candidacy in the next election.
We'll see how they react. Funny how this keeps happening, eh? The Bulwark stands strong against the populace.
The chart Musk showed of the spike in social security numbers given to illegal immigrants by Democrats mind blowing. We knew they were importing migrants and buying their votes, but they were also robbing from Americans who have paid into SS their entire lives. Evil.
Musk will save Social Security from Democrat corrupt fingers. Meantime...the frothing libs key Tesla's, participate in paid protests, and celebrate the stock tanking.
All while chanting. "Don't touch my Social Security." It is an incredibly stupid portion of the population. White women with college degrees.
From X "SHOCKING: Elon Musk revealed at his Green Bay, Wisconsin, town hall that in 2024, 2,095,247 illegal immigrants (out of a reported total of 5.5 million) received Social Security numbers. Of these, 1.3 million are on Medicaid. Musk and his team also found illegal immigrants who were REGISTERED to VOTE and DID vote in our elections."
Antonio Gracias: “The defaults in the system from Social Security to all the benefit programs have been set to max inclusion, max pay, for [illegal immigrants] and minimum collection… We found 1.3 million of them already on Medicaid… On every benefit program we went through, we found groups from this particular group of people, 5.5 million people in those benefit programs.”

France is no longer a democracy. We need to treat her accordingly.
I get it. There was no evidence the vehicle in the video was a Tesla. I need to "do better".
Polls suggest Crawford has a clear lead, but there are a lot of undecideds. It's worth pointing out that Wisconsin is a swing state nationally, and the state court is closely divided between the two parties.
Elections and electoral maps in the U.S. are administered at the state level, so this election should have consequences for the 2030 redistricting cycle (a factor that matters in terms of the U.S. House of Representatives and in terms of the partisan composition of the state legislature).
In 2008 the Democrats had majority control of the Governor's office and state house, but were washed out in the 2010 mid-terms. The Republicans in 2011 radically transformed state laws around labor organizing and redistricting which gave the GOP outsized advantages in the ensuing election cycles.
A Democratic partisan majority on the Courts will give the Democrats a chance to restore something closer to a normal balance within the state. Unlike the Republicans, for better and worse, the Democrats nationally and in Wisconsin have tended to love this idea of bipartisanship and fair-mindedness, which is a noble idea, but not great politics in a country where the Republicans for decades have been pushing to radically transform the nation on the basis of narrow majorities, and in some cases doing so even with something less than a majority of the vote.
Democrats are going to lose millions of illegal voters when the illegals on the SS/Medicaid program are deported and removed from the states they were imported too.
We all know why Democrats oppose Election Integrity reforms.
Even Rich knows.
LLR-democratical Rich: "Unlike the Republicans, for better and worse, the Democrats nationally and in Wisconsin have tended to love this idea of bipartisanship and fair-mindedness, which is a noble idea...."

Not even Dumb Lefty Mark would dare venture such a gaslighting lie as that....but that's what Harry Sisson-types like Rich are for, isn't it?
Watching some of this now. First impression: Elon isn't going to become a standup talent, but that's OK. He gets enormous credit for what he's doing, deploying his money in support of his principles. I'm sure there are many that consider this a problem, but..... which is more acceptable? Paying people up front to knock on doors, or to enter a raffle for a prize, or doing it secretly, often illegally?
Since this is a cafe.
I witness my first catastrophic detonation of a firearm Sunday morning. Station eight, high house. Remington 1100 in 20 ga. skeet choke.
The base separated from the shell. The bolt was blown back and to the side splitting the receiver and lodging the bolt there. The magazine was split and the handguard was splintered. The barrel rib was split half way up the barrel. The barrel looked to have no other damage. So I think a blocked barrel could be ruled out. The butstock was the only part unharmed. The shooter walked away with just small cuts on his left hand.
I suspect that his reloads in that instance were loaded with rifle or pistol powder vastly exceeding operational pressures.
It's become quite clear that in any contest to see who could applaud Comrade Stalin the longest, no one would be able to compete with LLR-democratical Rich.
Musk is less popular than Trump, and both are trending downwards
I have doubts that the Trump/Musk approach will succeed in making government more efficient (i.e. improved service at reduced cost). Cutting programs wholesale (for example Medicaid) would not by definition “improve efficiency”, as that would just be eliminating a program of services mandated by legislation.
While some may applaud shutting down USAID, others claim that such congressionally sanctioned aid serves a useful purpose. Regardless of what one thinks of the constitutionality of this action – it certainly does not have anything to do with creating “efficiency”.
The true test of success will be whether Trump and Musk deliver proportionally greater service at proportionally reduced cost. Trump did not deliver efficiency during his first term – nor did he deliver on most of his other promises. As time passes, the benefit of hindsight will make it clearer as to whether Donald Trump and Elon Musk are just creating chaos or actually delivering efficiency.

@Rusty - "I suspect that his reloads in that instance were..." Not impossible for a blocked barrel, but unlikely. My first thought was, 'are they reloads?' You really have to pay attention when reloading.

I don't know who you cut and pasted this from, Kak, but if the voters have supported the Republicans over the 15 years since the "radical" actions of the Republicans, it sounds like the voters want what the Republicans are selling. Sort of like what has happened in favor of the Democrats in "Blue" states like, say, California and Massachusetts. It is how "democracy" works.
Openly seeking to have judges overturn the actions of the legislature seems rather undemocratic, does it not?

Mark,
You are correct that the Republicans controlled the legislature the last time the lines were drawn. But I maintain my position that Wisconsin is engaging in what I call turbo-gerrymandering by which I mean the Dems keep drawing lines so as to create seats for themselves.
Lines were drawn in February 2024 following maps presented by the Dem Governor because the Republican Legislature was afraid that the Wisconsin Supreme Court which then had a Dem majority would redraw the maps in a very unfavorable way.
In February 2024 the story was covered as follows on Wisconsin Public Radio:
"What do Wisconsin’s new maps mean for the Legislature’s balance of power?
New state voting districts competitive enough that party winning the most votes 'will win the most seats' in the Legislature
By Rich Kremer
February 22, 2024
For the first time in more than 50 years, the state Legislature and governor reached a bipartisan agreement on new legislative maps, one that could substantially shift the balance of political power in Wisconsin.
The new maps were drawn by Democratic Gov. Tony Evers and passed by Republican lawmakers, who said they’d have a better shot at maintaining their majorities with the governor’s district lines than under other options that were being considered by the Wisconsin Supreme Court’s liberal majority.
With the maps now signed into law, all eyes are on the November election to see how new district lines affect who the voters of Wisconsin send to Madison to represent them."
https://www.wpr.org › news › wisconsins-new-maps-legislature-balance-power
But now those 2024 maps are being contested because the Dems did not win enough seats and the State Supreme Court is going to take up the issue if they have a Dem majority - as they will if Susan Crawford is elected.
"Why is the 2025 Wisconsin Supreme Court race so important?

Currently, Wisconsin’s government is divided. There’s a Democratic governor and a Democratic attorney general, along with a GOP-controlled state Legislature. That means there’s not a lot of consensus, and many issues end up in the courts, from abortion to redistricting to unionizing for state employees.
...
As the Associated Press reports, the 2023 Wisconsin Supreme Court race, which was ... for ideological control of the court, was the most expensive judicial race in U.S. history. The 2025 race is shaping up to be even more expensive.
...
In Dec. 2023, the Wisconsin Supreme Court threw out the legislative electoral maps that cemented ... Republican majorities in the state's Assembly and Senate. That meant that in February 2024, Democratic Gov. Tony Evers signed maps that he proposed into law. The Legislature passed those Evers-drawn maps to avoid having the state Supreme Court draw the lines.
...
Liberal law firms are contemplating how to get [a case challenging Wisconsin’s Congressional districts] before the court in future years, according to reporting from Wisconsin Watch."

Strange. LLR-democratical Rich literally said this was impossible and would never happen.
Re: Elon Musk’s artificial intelligence group buys X for $45bn
From a technical standpoint this acquisition was completely unnecessary. xAI did not need to buy X to access its data, absorb its technology, or achieve better integration. There was no logical business reason to do it either; X was not in danger of being acquired by a competitor, there is no savings on fees paid by xAI to X, and any cost-savings from post-merger layoffs are tiny. There is only one reason why this happened: to artificially inflate the value of both X and xAi.
LLR-democratical Rich: "From a technical standpoint this acquisition was completely unnecessary. xAI did not need to buy X to access its data, absorb its technology, or achieve better integration. LOL
Abacus Boy with the make-believe lefty world "hot take"!
Reality from Chamath Palihapitiya on X: "xAI has acquired X in an all-stock transaction valuing xAI at $80 billion and X at $33 billion under a new holding company that combines both entities.
The synergy of this deal is that X's shareholders get a stake in xAI's increased valuation, and xAI gets full access to X's data and user network to train Grok.
xAI raised $6 billion in late 2024 valuing xAI at $45 billion, and another $10 billion by early 2025 at a $75 billion valuation.
This increase in valuation means that X investors now own shares in a rapidly appreciating AI company rather than just owning shares of a social media platform, fulfilling Elon's promise that X investors would receive 25% ownership in xAI.
The advantage for xAI is that it gains full access to X's 10+ terabytes of real-time data for training, giving it a path for Grok to become the most current, up-to-date, and context-aware language model.
xAI gains a competitive advantage at a time when other model makers face challenges: OpenAI and Google are dealing with copyright lawsuits related to training data, while Meta is challenged to improve pre-training for their Llama models."
So much for Abacus Boy.
Did any reader notice the obvious re: moron Rich's assessment of the X-xAI merger?
According to Rich over the last several years, BOTH X and xAI were fraudulent companies destined for immediate bankruptcy and dissolution.
It appears ChatGPT Boy would prefer readers not remember that "stellar" business "analysis!
Musk has leveraged his Tesla and other stocks, so when the values drop the banks get jumpy. This will allow the banks to pretend they believe the collateral covers the loans.
