This kind of nonsense should teach people that group analysis is invalid. Instead it apparently teaches them if you avoid thinking at all you don't risk uncovering inconvenient and discrediting logical flaws.

Where did I say that? There is a vast gulf between being an obnoxious jerk (which is what I did call them) and a nazi.
If you don't believe that the vast majority of teenage boys, especially when they are in a large group, will frequently act like obnoxious jerks, then you are the one who doesn't know how to act like an adult. I look back at some of the things I did in high school and college, and think to myself, "what a little asshole".
As for comporting themselves well, the jury is still out on that one. The audio doesn't tell us what they were chanting but school cheers in response to vicious racial and sexual slurs does seem very likely. And there were definitely some tomahawk chops going on in the background. I find it very unlikely that the tomahawk chop is part of the sports cheers where the school mascot is a colonel. It makes no sense at all.

I would compare these kids with a bunch of black kids in big cities who attack elderly people and steal things from the stores. A lot of videos on that. And I imagine if this big a crowd of black youths met 3-4 KKK activists, who are screaming obscenities at them, I am sure the “tomahawk chop’ would be the least of the problem...
Yet somehow the media is upset with these white kids and want them beaten up.
Is this what they call “white privilege”?
I don't understand how much attention this is still getting when we should be addressing the ringworm epidemic.

There are also lots of videos of white crowds attacking groups of blacks, and going further back, photos of people having picnics after a lynching with the victims still hanging from a tree in the background. What is your point?

There are no “videos” in the last 18 years of white kids attacking blacks - or at least there are very, very few of them.
But today, there is plenty of info on the violence from the blacks. In fact, the murder ratio (black on white versus white on black) is about 6 to 1 if not even 10 to 1.
I believe all people, independent of their color, should be treated equally. The media went berserk because of a white boy smiling. On the other side there a plethora of stories of black crime, and the media ignores it.
Freder, do you think the fake Vietnam veteran was obnoxious? How about the folks he brought with him, who were screaming at kids? Were they also obnoxious? Do you agree that “Black Hebrews” are a hate group?

You are not allowed to say this about any group of teenagers who can be associated with the left, anywhere at anytime for any reason.
The Parkland nuts were declared off-limits even though they were calling all 2nd Amendment supporters Nazi's and murderers and needed to have their Constitutional rights taken away.

I haven’t seen the broad conservative coalition as fired up about a story since Kavanaugh. Pretty interesting.
Let me get this straight- racial/racist activists confront, harass and hurl racist epithets at a group of children of another racial group who are standing, waiting for a bus. Then a second bunch of activists representing a third racial group march over to the children, confronting them in their midst while beating drums, and then lie about the reason (their excuse) for the racial confrontation
One of the children keeps a bemused look on his face while all this hostile racial confrontation is going on....and the child is the villain?
Now the Lincoln memorial is a public place and all three groups were exercising their rights of protest and free speech that day- but only one group did so fairlyvrespectfully and with reasonable judgement- the children. Could you imagine how the press would have handled this if an alt right group of whites hurled racial epithets at a group of African-American children wearing BLM caps, and then a group of Tea Partiers drummed their way into the group of children? Doesn't bear thinking about.
The hypocrisy, lack of self-awareness and greed (monetizing clicks and gathering chits for "virtue" and "right thinking") of media types is abominable.
