"The Manhattan district attorney is part of the 'progressive prosecutor' movement, which seeks to use prosecutorial discretion to reduce mass incarceration and racial disparities."

"Bragg’s press release in People v. Donald J. Trump noted the 'solemn responsibility to ensure that everyone stands equal before the law.' Willis, on the other hand, is a 'lock ’em up' district attorney. Her office used the same racketeering law that is the basis of the Georgia state charges against Trump and his 18 co-defendants in a case against dozens of Black educators in a cheating scandal. The problem for Trump? Both Bragg’s commitment to equal justice and Willis’s 'tough on crime' stance lead directly to the former president."

IOW, progs will use whatever lawfare proves useful to crush their opponents. Give them credit: they fight to win.

Speaking of mass incarceration and racial disparities: have we discussed how that leads directly to the current president?

The goal of the progressive prosecutor movement is selective use of the justice system to get Democrats in power and keep them there. There is an agenda too important to be left to voters to decide…

The explanation is BS

Amy Wax said to Glenn Loury, when Loury was complaining about the large number of black people in jail, that more black people ought to be in jail.

More black people in jail reduces the rate of black crime, which is how you get equality.

OK, so tell me why the disproportionate preponderance of Black? That ain't accidental.

Trump and blacks are a funny thing. You have some blacks who can see through the media image and some who cannot. Those who cannot focus on his first lawsuit, which he lost to a group of black tenants. He claimed he won afterwards, in typical Trump fashion. For some, this is evidence of his racism from the start, but, for others (like me) it's just Trump being Trump and not wanting to lose, or look like a loser, against anyone, of any race.

Then of course comes the cynical charade surrounding the Central Park Five rapists. I won't rehash the details, but Trump was right about them, and it's criminal the media will not explain how that is true to the public.

So, for some, he lives under the narrative of being a racist, despite his long and close associations with many blacks, including Byron Donaldson, Kanye, Russell Simmons, Mike Tyson, Don King, and so on over the years. The medium is the message.

How come the WAPO is ok with identifying "black" prosecutors, but are hesitant about reporting black on black crime? Or, identifying black perpetrators. This is common in our left-wing media.

But a good question to ask. Why are these black (mostly female) prosecutors being used to go after Trump? Do they figure the racial and gender identity protects them from criticism.

White man Jack Smith looks like a cult leader in that black and purple shirt.

Gusty Winds said...

"Progressive Prosecutor" = soft on crime = destroy America's cities = nothing more than political prosecutor.

Milwaukee's John Chisolm is the worst. He did the same type of witch hunt against Scott Walker and his supporter during the bullshit John Doe investigations.

The goal is to warn all Republicans: Don't you dare oppose us or we will do this to you, your friends, your lawyer, and your family.

What rehajam said. The Soros prosecutors are there to kill the civil rights of non-leftists.

The goal of progressive prosecutors is to violate civil rights under the principle of congruence ("=") and to normalize diversity (e.g. racism, sexism, human rites), equivalence, and intrusion (DEI) breeds adversity.

It must be quite distressing for Mr Trump that people are more concerned about the crisis in the Middle East then his legal troubles here in Disneyland.

It makes sense to go after the candidate who is not fearful about speaking against so called progressive prosecution policies. As president, Trump would rein in this 👉🏽 YouTube : Why aren’t more people fed up with the brazen broad daylight looting?

Hint: The press is not covering the results of progressive prosecution policies, anywhere near the way they cover Donald Trump.

The progressive existence is resistance to Trump.

"committed to equal justice."
That made me laugh.

rcocean said...

They want race based prosecutions and sentences. Blacks get a get out jail free card and whites don't. No equal justice under the law. Like Biden refusing to protect the American citizens from "invasion" and refusing to enforce the immigration laws, this goes against everything the USA supposedly stands for

But lots of people, especially insulated white liberals, love crime and don't care if criminals are put in jail. So, let black criminals go free, or with a slap on the wrist. We don't want to put them in prison, cause that would be racist. After all, they rarely rob/murder/rape the Best and the Brightest, just other blacks and those nasty downscale whites. And who cares about them?

Each of these prosecutors targeted the man, Beria style. That is unethical behavior. There is nothing to admire in that. It is discriminatory prosecution and election interference, pure and simple.

The implications are frightening. This article is an example of the progressive doctrine that members of victim groups can do no wrong against the oppressor. It also applies to Hamas terrorists and BLM.

Trump is a racist, therefore....

It must be a relief to QuidProJoe that people are more concerned about the crisis in the Middle East than his multi-million dollar grifting.

Meanwhile, lefties like Howie are focused on the well being of Hamas terrorists, cheer on the abuses of the DOJ/FBI, and are titillated by the discriminatory prosecution of Trump.

Moral bankruptcy abides on the left.

Sure is a good thing we let all those dark-skinned cretins into the law schools, back in the 90's. It's really starting to pay off.

Larry J said...

"Prosecutorial discretion" disproves "equal justice under the law". If equal justice under the law was anything other than a pretty lie taught to schoolchildren, everyone accused of a crime would be charged equally.

I feel the same way about self-asserted appellations like "progressive" as I do about self-asserted personal pronouns. If they're not just inaccurate but also delusional or propagandistic, I refuse to accept them or use them. There is nothing progressive about prosecutors who refuse to prosecute people who commit crimes or who selectively prosecute certain people whom they disfavor but not those that they favor.

It’s sad that black and/or progressive prosecutors are promoting the destruction of urban neighborhoods. Drug stores, grocery stores, assorted other businesses are fleeing the areas of rampant crime and shoplifting. Why these prosecutors think they are doing something great for these areas is dumbfounding. Do they really not care?

This entire sorry exercise in politicized prosecutions reminds me of (no, not the early Soviets who also used prosecutions as a tool of the State) my septic system at home. If you're not careful, if you throw tons of crap (not just crap but other bad things too like disposable wipes or cooking oil or whatever) down the drain then one day for sure your drainage field will collapse (literally), your tank will overflow and you will be faced with an expensive, time consuming cleanup. The neighbors won't be happy either. Maybe we can redirect these literally crazy prosecutors into the waste management field? Maybe that should be part of going to law school! Course 203 - What Happens when You Crap All Over the Rules of Law.

What's so hard to understand? Not until we squeeze all inequality from the American way of life will we finally live in the utopia we deserve. A utopia where no one has more than any other and everyone shares in the absolute joy of knowing that everyone else is as miserable as they are.

I'm actually surprised to see her being so politically cynical. She's better than this.

We are living right now in a Trump property. I have bought a bunch of logo stuff. It constantly surprises me how many Blacks compliment my (Trump logo) hat. That is typically a way of showing support for him. A lot of Blacks seem to like like staying there. Lot of bling, of course.
