The cautionary tale for me was Kanye West's mother, who died the day after she had breast reduction, a tummy tuck and liposuction. In her case, though she had coronary artery disease, including blockages of 50 percent to 70 percent in two arteries. Elective surgery does not make sense for someone in that bad shape.
Her reasoning was fundamentally sound. Many have died for dumber reasons and have statues in the park commemorating their stupdity.
