"I am having the experience two times in my life of doing something that makes New Jersey fashionable. What are the odds on that?"

Says Steven Van Zandt.

Dave, go listen to the "Week in Review" show, linked on Friday. I talked about it there. Hope it helps you with you ADS.

As Paulos of Innumeracy would say, "The chances of that coincidence are 100%, since it in fact happened." Any other talk of odds is meaningless, since every one of us daily experiences coincidence of rare events that can somehow be linked. That people can't stop silly talk about "odds" is just another symptom of our innumerate society.

Hey Althouse, do you have any meat in your freezer?

Wasn't it Althouse who was saying she likes to keep a spare side of beef, just in case company comes?

Uh-oh.

"It is important for consumers to look in their freezers,"

Hey, everyone, let's all go look in our freezers. Lord only knows what's lurking in there.

...go listen to--

It's bad enough reading this drivel. Listen? No way.

This is a blog. It's for writing. Put your thoughts on the Libby case on your blog for people to read.

Why is that so hard?

I feel your pain. Whenever I read a blog entry about The Sopranos, I expect to find a reference to Scooter Libby. Who doesn't?

Fool.

I'm a law professor, but I don't have expertise in criminal law -- certainly not sentencing. If the issue is a pardon, I'm against it... as I say on the radio.

My Sopranos prediction for tonight:

Tony Soprano will awake with a start and realize the past 10 years have really been a very bad, convoluted nightmare. We see him awake to a thoroughly pedestrian, white collar existence, in which he is a real estate lawyer on Long Island, and his wife is Dr. Melfi. Carmela is an amalgamation of various ex-girlfriends of his from adolescence and college.

Exeunt omnes.

Appears my Sopranos prediction was not correct.
