It's best when the lake is reflecting the cloud colors.

Wow! Some of your best photos ever. Especially the first one.

I’ve said it before: you should make a calendar.

I woke at 5:30 to the red glow outside and rushed out. The pre-sunrise was the show! Once the sun got closer to the horizon the show was almost over.

Is the first one 635, or is that a typo?

Whatever the case, they are exquisite.

Even though more blacks will die, Biden has decided to put off banning menthol cigarettes because it would cost him votes.

This is not satire.

Can someone join me in shitting all over the comments of YouTube videos showing famous astronauts, scientists, historians etc with their heads in their hands, seemingly weeping and ashamed, and claiming: "THEY LIED TO US!"?

Youtube vids using such illustrations and/or such bullshit claims are a sure sign of clickbait.

Commenters here are probably too smart to fall for that crap.

But don't let your friends be fooled.

That shitzu-fucker Blinken complaining about China trying to interfere with our elections, when he and the Hosenscheisser in Chief are publicly calling for Netanyahu to be removed???????

This is an important thing to know to catch the best sunrises. The sunrise time yesterday as 5:57. I got out early but should have gone even earlier. If you're dealing with a top 1% sunrise, like this one, you need to be there at least 20 minutes before sunrise time. 30 minutes would have been better.

I've had the experience of seeing a really great sunrise as I was in my car with still a minute to go before I could get to a vantage point. I've learned my lesson.

Useful information is the cloud cover percent. For the sunrise you see here, it was listed as 20%. That's not conclusive about when the sunrise will be great, because it all depends on where the clouds are and how they are shaped and their density, but it does prompt me to go out earlier.

Came to check on Dave Bagely

Parts of Omaha flatten by tornadoes.

Hopes he's safe.

@Dave Begley, so you’re safe from the weather, but watch where your step.

A cousin lives in Omaha so I messaged her to see if she would as OK - she was. She lives near downtown and the damage was mostly west of her location.

We had a nice dinner with her some years back at the Upstream Brewing Company, also near downtown, and though she's a left-winger from way back, it was a pleasant visit.

...via neo over at the new neo.com. It's John Eastman talking about the election interference cases he and others attempted to bring after the 2020 election. A very interesting but depressing read, as most of the ways in which election security was undermined in 2020 are still in place, ready to go for 2024.
