It's a death trap, it's a suicide rap....

"Inside the hall, the three presidents sat in matching white armchairs and took the stage to strains of 'Born to Run' by Bruce Springsteen, the unofficial bard of the Democratic Party...."

I'm reading "4 Presidents, 2 Events and a Preview of Campaign Clashes to Come/President Biden raised $25 million at a Radio City Music Hall event, adding to his huge cash edge, after Donald Trump pushed his law-and-order message at a wake for a police officer killed on duty" (NYT).

Three Presidents were sitting in white armchairs before people who'd paid up to $500,000 apiece to sit in the audience in the most beautiful theater in the country. The comments over there are mostly about the fourth President. That guy, Mr. Trump, steals focus from everything.

Also stealing attention were the protesters at the 3-Presidents event. They were shouting "blood on your hands." Obama chided them: "You can’t just talk and not listen. That’s what the other side does." Seems to me protesters on Obama's side have interrupted more speeches than those on the other side. But it's subjective, and the old adage is as true as ever: All the assholes are over on the other side.
Biden had his decently well-thought-out line: "It’s understandable Israel has such a profound anger and Hamas is still there. But we must, in fact, stop the effort that is resulting in significant deaths of innocent civilians, particularly children." But that's the kind of statement that infuriates those committed to ending a war.

Also well-thought-out — and utterly incapable of appeasing the protesters — was the closing visual joke: "Mr. Colbert, Mr. Clinton and Mr. Obama put on aviator sunglasses as their 'impression' of the president." Then Biden said he "loves two things: Ray-Ban sunglasses and ice cream."

No photography was allowed, so that will need to be a mental picture only. You can imagine how the $500,000-a-seat people glowed in the radiance of the Obama/Clinton/Biden entity. Sunglasses and ice cream for everyone.

It infuriates both sides. The Israelis understand that if they don't destroy Hamas, they will invite more attacks like this in the future.

These royals on their white thrones have no idea how bad they look.

I recently visited a butcher shop in a rural Southern small town. The best cut of meat there seemed to be ground beef, maybe ham hocks. I saw cuts for sale that I had no idea people ate—pig tails, lungs, pig hearts. Lots of people can't even afford ground beef.

Who do I want to be President? Someone who pals around with the moneyed rich (Biden) or someone who is with hoi polloi paying tribute to a fallen policeman (Trump)?

But we must, in fact, stop the effort that is resulting in significant deaths of innocent civilians, particularly children.

There was a ceasefire in place on 6 October 2024. Hamas broke it, not Israel. Force Hamas to stand down and release the hostages.

That Biden and others are not implementing or supporting this plan is a choice.

On Election Eve 2016, the Clinton camp held a rally/concert in Philly jammed packed with celebs. I will admit, the pics of the throngs rattled me. I had bet in betting markets on Trump, I had done a ton of research on state party registration trends, I thought Trump really had a chance despite the 2% chances several poll aggregators were giving him. And guess what? I ended up with more money in my pocket.

But that rally did worry me. Now I know how meaningless an indicator such celeb heavy events are. Trump is winning again and no amount of celebrity, rigging, ballot harvesting is going to make a difference. He’s going to win big, like 1972 big.

How do I know? I just do.

So, it was a perfect Dem event.

Ah, yes, the multimillionaire faux-proletarian Bruce the Bard.

"adding to his huge cash edge, after Donald Trump pushed his law-and-order message at a wake for a police officer killed on duty"

Cash vs. law and order: you know which side the Dems are on.

"Obama chided them: "You can’t just talk and not listen. That’s what the other side does.""

Can't have a proper Dem event without some of that good old BO BS.

"Seems to me protesters on Obama's side have interrupted more speeches than those on the other side."

LOL. Not to mention shutting down roads and highways. But yes, the raging antisemites are "protesters on Obama's side." And of course, O and Joe don't really disagree with them, considering they are "on Obama's side."

"stop the effort that is resulting in significant deaths of innocent civilians, particularly children."

Might Althouse need a children BS tag? To indicate that any argument "for the children" is phony?

"and utterly incapable of appeasing the protesters"

Correct. We all know such appeasement will require another mass rape at minimum, but preferably extermination, "from the river to the sea."

They start wars and call opponents of those wars traitors.

They are purposely driving insane food and fuel inflation to grind down the working class.

The only people this regime wants in jail are their political opponents.

They are letting everyone else out of jail and giving free food, money, and housing to illegals.

They are going to cut off food to the cities and their illegal army soon. They are going to blame their political opponents for this. They are going to push starving people in the cities out into the countryside to find food. People are going to get shot. They will declare martial law.

Prepare accordingly.

The problem with calling it genocide is that it isn't genocide. Israel simply isn't killing enough Palestinians for that to be the case.

I also understand wanting to call them innocent civilians. But that simply isn't true.

The problem is the Palestinian People. All of them. Their culture. Israel is 3rd or 4th on the most Palestinians killed list. Several Arab countries have killed more Palestinians than Israel. They embraced Marxism as part of their social contract and everyone hates them. No matter what country they go to everyone hates them.

Typically in the past they would just get wiped out by one or more of the ruling cliques in the area and the survivors assimilated into the local population. Mostly the women and children which is appropriate. But they are kept around because some people want to destabilize the middle east and keep wars going.
