"Hey Donny! Beware the Ides of March!" - Democrats

Jack Smith is trying to convict Trump and imprison him for speech crimes based on the less evidence of pushing "stochastic terrorism" than this.

Nice composition. I’m sure Greenwald gave Althouse more than these two to choose from.

The whole "Trump will be a dictator" genre sounds like a conspiracy theory much like the Russia Collusion genre.

Liz Cheney is a nasty PTA mom who's determined to destroy anyone who doesn't carry out her will.

I didn’t care for him when I first heard him interview Snowden. But as the war on terror wound down and the snooping sophistication ramped up, there was one man standing ‘athwart history, yelling Stop, at a time when no one was inclined to do so, or to have much patience with those who so urge it’. To quote the great WFB about someone whose values were very different from those ascribed to the person in the quote.

Propagandists are gonna push propaganda and the big lie.

Ever since Hillary's illegal email server was exposed, D.C. has been in "hang together or hang separately" mode. They will double down in hopes of eventually winning or reaching a stalemate, or they will die trying. Think back to James Comey's 2016 and now hilarious attitude versus a multitude of later anti-Trump legal efforts: "No reasonable prosecutor would bring a case against Clinton."

https://www.cnbc.com/2016/07/05/fbi-director-james-comey-has-concluded-the-investigation-into-clintons-emails.html

And now a moment of silence for all those "little people" imprisoned for violating national security laws while Hillary was defended and protected for her 1,000x worse violations. Let them eat cake.

You have to respect a man with the courage to challenge his own points of view in public, and come up with different, properly-argued, supportable points of view. Very few journalist have this integrity today. Support them - they're not that hard to identify.

Trump is too big of a buffoon to be a dictator.

Biden and his mobster protection rakkkit - they are the dictators.

Greenwald is 100% correct here.

Yup. Sharp focus on Trump with his back turned from the center and looking/pointing to the far right of the window, while Cheney, seen through a disturbed lens, looks to the left.

Here's a thought game: Biden = Louis XVI. Liz Cheney (Kerry, et al) = French aristocracy. Corporate Media/Deep State = French Catholic Church. Does that make Trump = Napoleon or Robespierre or?

NYC JournoList said...

Without evidence, Democrats falsely claim Trump is a dictator.

Follow The money grubbing.

Trump was impeached for asking about Biden's obvious Ukrainian money laundering for personal family profit while he was VP.
This is the insiders game. Cheney is a part of the insiders game.

I mangled that. I meant to say the WFB quote was about someone very politically different from a Glenn Greenwald.

She should run for President as a Progressive, which she is. She has NOTHING in common with todays Republican party. She is a traitor.

I just shake my head about Liz Cheney and her continuing popularity among the Liberal/left MSM.

This woman isn't smarter or more knowledgable than 100 other ex-Congressmen. She got elected because she was Dick Cheney's daughter in 2016. Two years later, she was made number 3 in the House leadership because she was Dick Cheney's daughter. And in 2022, she lost her seat by 20 points. Other than hating Trump, and backstabbing everyone in the House leadership, she's done nothing of note her entire life.

You can't even write off her fame because of her good looks, since she reminds me stephen Colbert in a wig. No, she's example of nepotism and the desire of the MSM to promote Republicans who will hate and attack Tump.

She's lied about J6 and Trump supporters, and made the most false and hysterical claims and statements. By comparison, even Mitt Romney seems sane.

Greenwald is a rare bird, a Liberal/leftist who has principles and sticks to them. I love reading his stuff.

Still waiting for someone here, anyone here, to explain why Biden et al is not objectily fascist in the classic sense as propounded by Mussolini.

Or how president trump was fascist and/or will be if reelected.

So far just crickets.

Cheney's book was number one on Amazon yesterday with only seven reviews. Makes you wonder who's buying it.

Amazon, BTW, was only allowing verified purchasers to comment. I'm not checking back today.

Liz Cheney is a real witch. Might be worse that Hillary.

I don't remember anything Trump did in his first term that even slightly hinted toward dictator.

1) Trump never engaged in lawfare
2) Trump started zero new wars
3) Tax cut was passed by Congress
4) He only got as much money for the wall as Congress allowed, and Paul Ryan did everything he could to diminish that funding.
5) During COVID, Trump respected States rights. Some were insane like CA, NY and other Blue States.
6) Trump rightly called out the 2020 absentee voter fraud, which we know is VERY real.
7) Even though all that "Trump will never leave the White House", he did leave the White House. He just said "fuck you, I'm not going to a fraudulent inauguration".

This is such bullshit it borders on insane. Almost more so for the sheeple that believe it.

I don't even like to think about that. But, it does seem clear the Democrats/Uniparty and Deep State are issuing a fatwa against Trump. Much like the the fatwa issued in against Salman Rushdie.

For some reason, Trump doesn't look worried.

Sheridan: none of the above.

We desperately need Trump, or someone, to be our Wellesley.

Kirk Parker said...

JaimeRoberto, NYC JournoList -

Except it's not a conspiracy, it's not "without evidence"... it's something much worse: PROJECTION.

We should be very worried because they are telling us, indirectly, what they will do with whatever power they can acquire.

Cheney has called people she doesn't like "Putin Puppets" "Russian Agents" "Trump lackeys" "Insurrectionists" and "Conspiracy Nuts" "Authoritarians".

She's Hillary Clinton without the Brains and with (R) after her name.

The media are priming the pump for some lefty lunatic to take action.

Mark my words, if she runs, she'll pull more votes from Biden than Trump. Any candidate who is defined as "anti-Trump" will pull more votes from Biden than Trump. Trump's followers are very loyal.

Liz Cheney has a severe delusional personality disorder to think that voters, beyond her immediate family, consider her a viable presidential candidate. Hubris!

Kirk Parker said...

Kellerreiss @ 5:06pm,

Yes indeed, but on the other hand "severe delusional personality disorder" doesn't really distinguish her from the average politician at the national level, does it?

Cheney is just a monkey wrench to be thrown at the Trump campaign. If she somehow won the NYT will be calling her madam Hitler.

But the fervor with which she opposes our hero makes me wonder if she's trying to cover something her father did...that Trump might publicize if he found it once in office again.

Just like Murkowski and her father.

Hope that was sarcastic. No evidence that the ModRNA saved any lives, and quickly mounting evidence that it killed many. Let me suggest reading the Complaint by the State of Texas against Pfizer, to get an idea of the lying and fraudulent advertising by that company in order to sell their vaccines. The original vaccine was barely tested, and the process used to manufacture it was never subject to testing (a different process was used to manufacture the vaccines used in their trials) (despite FDA regulations requiring such testing). The original study was unblinded after 2 months, making longer term follow up impossible. The testing for pregnant women was so inadequate, that doubling the number of miscarriages (2 vs 1) was not considered statistically significant. And they did even less for testing children. Etc.
