You can already see the beginnings of it aiming for primacy, an effort that will fail spectacularly and we all know why. In the evolution of a zeitgeist most of you can guess what the next step is after fashion/fad. Cogent minds can see and are seeing the writing on the wall and are realizing that this final cultural high-ground is A) not going to be ceded like the last false peaks were and B) underdog resistance and the sexiness that surrounds it is already siphoning away reasonable people - even within their own ranks - who are legitimately disturbed or otherwise can see what the end game of this glorifying fringe...

...legalization and social acceptance of pedophilia. That is absolutely the end-game. Don't doubt for a second. They know it. They know we know it. And we know they know we know it, and they are in danger if they keep pushing.

Today's committee hearings are blowing up in Republicans' faces. My personal favorite (among too many to count right now) is Paul Gosar, whose weird neck contortions (if he has tardive dyskinesia, I'm sorry; but he should just say so one way or another) and slurred speech made it impossible to understand him. At one point, four witnesses all said they could not understand his questions, and he just kept plowing ahead, not repeating anything. There certainly was a video promoting hysterectomies for "transitioners" on the Boston Children's Hospital website, and the hospital certainly does primarily serve "children." But all the surgeries I find there explicitly offered to minors are phalloplasties, vaginoplasties, and "top surgery" (= double mastectomies), plus puberty blockers and sex-change hormone regimens and the like. So possibly BCH offers hysterectomies as well, but only to those over 18?

If true, this is an incredibly weaselly move by AOC: She's focusing on one surgery (hysterectomy) while ignoring the indisputable evidence that BCH did offer other body-maiming "care" to minors. I can't actually see the video promoting hysterectomy (Twitter, ironically, has blocked it as not suitable for children under 18 [!!!], so I'd have to resubscribe to Twitter to see it!), but BCH and AOC have both proven themselves untrustworthy here.

And yes, LOTT provides nothing but Tik Tok videos of actual people posting actual videos for the entire world to see. Said people then scream ceaselessly that, hey, they didn't want everyone to look at that stuff, just the handful of select friends they wanted to. People, Tik Tok makes everything available to everyone. (With, I imagine, some exceptions carved out for the CCP, but I mean besides those.) Well… and this is just today’s news cycle:

We had Mitt Romney telling George Anthony Devolder Eula Rochard Santos that he didn’t belong on the House floor. And “George” replying on Twitter that Romney will never be president.

There was the 45th President sending a flurry of social media posts accusing the Republican governor of Florida (whom he calls “DeSanctimonious”) of “grooming” teenage girls and perhaps of soliciting underage sex. While that same Republican Florida governor shot back that the former President had invaded the dressing rooms of teen beauty pageants that he operated, to the horror, mortification and embarrassment of the young ladies in various stages of undress, with that former President having reportedly said, “Don’t worry girls I’ve seen it all.”

And then there was the actual SOTU address. Speaker Kevin McCarthy warned his conference against unruly behavior before the event; and audibly ‘shushed’ them during the speech. And still it was the most unruly House behavior in modern history.

Finally we get to the Republican Response to the President’s speech. Where one of Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders’ signature lines was calling for new Republican leadership. All the usual suspects lashed out. Steve Bannon; Lou Dobbs; the Conservative Treehouse; they and many more called the Sanders response disgraceful and RINO and “sounding like it was written by the Republican Governors Association for Ron DeSantis… all GOPe establishment.”

So that was all in just ONE FREAKING NEWS CYCLE!

There’s your unified Republican Party with a clear vision for leadership.

Every time AOC or [insert Democrat here] goes on one of these little rants, they do the one thing they are good at without fail: they lie. AOC told a series of lies in this clip, as many commentators have already observed. But the idiot Republicans are never prepared for this, even though the Dem playbook is so obvious. When members of Congress tell egregious and demonstrably false lies or make statements that are outrageously stupid (e.g., another military base on Diego Garcia could cause it to capsize), the Republicans need to correct the record and create content suitable for viral distribution that publicly humiliates the offender. I mean ruthless, no holds barred public humiliation (but in a polite, civilized, House of Commons backbench sort of way).
