"Defeats, inaction and compromise drag Biden’s poll numbers down"/"'Frustration is at an all-time high': Behind Biden’s falling poll numbers."

There's an interesting difference between the front page teaser — "Defeats, inaction and compromise drag Biden’s poll numbers down" — and the headline that appears at the article — "'Frustration is at an all-time high': Behind Biden’s falling poll numbers" — in The Washington Post.

The first is an active declarative sentence. You've got 3 things (defeats, inaction and compromise) doing something  (dragging Biden's poll numbers down). The second is vague and imprecise. On the one hand you've got "frustration" — whatever that refers to — and we'll just put that over there on the one side of a colon. On the other side, you've got Biden's falling poll numbers, and they're just falling for whatever reason. You'll have to read the article.

We see a photograph of a black man in a hoodie and a wool beanie, and he's looking sad. The caption says he's the founder of the Black Male Voter Project. His name is W. Mondale Robinson. I'm just going to guess the W is for Walter.

The "frustration" quote comes from him. He also says: "Black men are pissed off about the nothingness that has happened." Which is a great quote. They're not just pissed that nothing has happened. They're pissed about the nothingness that has happened. And he says: "They can’t call me and ask me to serve my brothers up on a platter for their benefit."

You wouldn't know from the headlines — either of them — but this article is about how black people — black men — don't like Biden. I wonder why the headline writer muffled that. Democrats are obviously aware of how much they need black voters, so why not shout out the alarm?

Is it another pathetic effort to protect Biden? The highest-rated comment over there suggests that is indeed what WaPo readers want:

It's only been 7 months good lord. The prior occupant disappointed the whole blasted country from the moment he came down the escalator. WAPO wants the GOP in office so bad because President Biden ain't giving the clicks they need. Lol 😆. Stop with the negative headlines everyday WAPO it's getting quite annoying. This is not journalism, there are millions of stories about how the stimulus helped people or that the infrastructure bill would help an area or city. The country don't want to see the fall of democracy. Do better

"Stop with the negative headlines" = this article was too anti-Biden! WaPo stands accused of an active desire to promote the Republican Party!

As our society evolves (?) it becomes more apparent we have entered into a gameshow universe where polling popularity has replaced reason as the guiding principle of government. Unfortunately, writers of popular fiction like the news can't even get the headlines they want to match the stories they have.

Elections are not based on belief in a set of core values, rather the promise of government largess from the contest winners. Kind of an over-the-top version of "Let's Make a Deal." Tell me, what's behind door number three?

...and yes, Ann's two for two this morning...

...this propaganda is so scattershot, trying to drive in so many directions but the result is rambling gibberish...

...funny how they attribute the falling poll numbers to defeats and inaction, when a more plausible theory is the cause is the action they've already taken...

...also funny how they blame Biden, the brittle front man the leadership plops down in front of the green screen for those moments when he's at his most lucid, wringing as much out of him as they can, like a spent kitchen sponge.

Big questions hanging over the Biden regime: can you 1) open the border in a way that will surely drive down wages, and limit available jobs, for low-paid and unskilled Americans; 2) stand aside while law enforcement in the inner city is degraded; and still get the black vote? Is welfare for life regardless of work supposed to make up for that? Wouldn't Biden have described that at one time as wanting to keep blacks on the plantation? Is it enough to show up at some of the funerals and say the right words?

Sadly, the situation of the famous ex-steelworkers and others, mainly white, is increasingly similar to the inner city. And yet all that matters, apparently, is identity politics.

I literally felt sick to my stomach when I read the following in the body of the article... "At the same time, many have been disturbed by images of Haitian immigrants, seeking asylum during a tumultuous time in that country, being herded and struck by White immigration agents on horseback." Such dishonesty on the part of the Washington Post. The Haitian were NOT being struck by the border patrol officers on horseback and many of the Haitians in these current waves of illegal crossers are NOT coming directly from Haiti. They are coming from South American countries like Chile and Brazil where they have been living for a number of years. I hate that once esteemed newspapers publish lies nowadays.

My God, if they worked as hard at digging out the truth of a story as they do in creating a fiction around a story, they'd be almost like an old newspaper.

Biden's numbers are directly related to his actions, all of which seem to have the priority not of what helps the US and it's citizens most, but what Trump policy can be undone? I was just reading a small article this morning about the Biden administration buying drones from China, from a company that Trump had banned for providing the CCP with critical information on US infrastructure. Not only are these drones less effective than the US drones we were currently using, but coming from the CCP, they will be monitoring us, instead. This is a small article. No one will see it. But it is one of hundreds of steps Biden and the Obama team have take to undo all and any Trump policies.

Open Border? Check.
Ease up on Russia? Check.
Ease up on China? Check.
Ease up on Iroan? Check.
Run out of Afghanistan. Check? Leave Americans and allies? Check.
Stop oil and gas production in the US, cancel pipeline, beg Russia and OPEC to pump more so we can buy from them? Check.
Blow out our economy with stagflation? Check.

Wonder why Black Americans have no jobs, no work, no education, no opportunities? WaPo wants to know. Maybe someone can help them out here.

What about the Tens of Thousands of Iowans that went to Praise Trump on Saturday?
Are THEY part of the THE WHOLE BLASTED COUNTRY

Trump screwed the pooch by trying to appeal to black men through Vernon (I’ve got a Norwegian Airline stewardess on each arm) Jones, a longtime Georgia politician-crook who is definitely not liked by other black men. However the greatly respected Herman Cain (R.I.P.) and Hershel Walker were good Trump bets.

And this is a betting game. I bet Trump will run again. And I bet he’ll get nothing done again, whereas Biden has done tremendous damage to our borders and safety while doing nothing but sucking a Safe-T-Pop and reading from the teleprompter.

Still, voting for Trump. And I literally saw Vernon hoisting around two Norwegian Airline stewardesses almost as tall as he is. Which didn’t endear him to the black woman vote either. To say the least. He does get the stripper vote, but they’re never up in time to make it to the polls.

---I wonder why the headline writer muffled that. Democrats are obviously aware of how much they need black voters, so why not shout out the alarm? [AA]

This seems obvious to me. Because it would only give away more of the truth that Kanye and Candace are far from the only blacks who've left the liberal plantation. And there is no reason for any of them to remain in their Democratic Party chains. How can WaPo report on the phenomenon without making it seem a little bit more logical and possible to their readers? They have to keep pretending, or both their political campaign and their business model will deflate. They also have a legacy burden to bear; they've been promoting the racism shtick for a long time. Hard to report anything that suggests that version of the world is obsolete, and even its supposed beneficiaries aren't buying that shopworn package any more.

That's just their "bubble" talking. Among the rest of us, Trump triggered a variety of responses from complete dislike to enthusiastic support. In 2020, while I would still agree that Trump was probably not a good husband, I did appreciate some of the positive things he accomplished - like the Abrahm Accords. What I found interesting was while my Democratic relatives all hated Trump, none of them supported Biden in the Democratic primaries.

A acquiescing to Pelosi and extremism this time will cost them their seats for what? So Joe Biden and Kamala Harris and Alexandra Ocazio Cortez and Bernie Sanders (oops—he’s not even a Democrat!) and Rashida Tlaib can play the fool on National TV? Joe Manchin remembers, so does the Blue Dog Caucus.

Bruce Hayden said...

Yes, Biden’s polling numbers are in free fall. But not because he hasn’t been progressive enough, or able to get their radical agenda enacted, but because of his gross incompetence. We haven’t seen this level of incompetence since maybe the 19th Century. Not even Carter or FDR’s economic teams. They screwed up our exit from Afghanistan royally, never explained it adequately, and then started stabbing each other in the press. It was badly thought out, badly executed, and badly explained. They have done the same thing with the illegal immigrant crisis on our southern border, and with COVID-19. The economy seems to be following suit. After 40 years without inflation, it is now taking off again, as the economy sinks into recession. The Dems in Congress are frustrated in their attempt to loot the treasury, while destroying our energy system, and much else, with their $3.5 Trillion Human Infrastructure monstrosity. Republicans protesting the election fraud that put Biden in the WH and gave Schumer his Senate majority were declared domestic terrorists. This was followed by parents attending school board meetings to protest nakedly racist curriculum (being sold by the AG’s son-in-law). Yes - Biden’s AG has declared parents protesting a racist product sold by his son-in-law to be domestic terrorist, allowing the FBI to utilize the PATRIOT Act against them. Meanwhile no one can adequately explain anything. Not Biden. Not Fauci, his generals, Fauci, etc. And no one appears to be in charge. Just a bunch of incompetents and thieves running things behind the scene.

That’s why Biden’s polling numbers are crashing. But the DC home town paper is trying to pretend that the problem is that the support he is losing is from the left. Sure, some of those there are waking up to the realization that their policies are brain dead idiotic. And Biden has lost some support there. But the big drop is among independents. I think that Biden’s numbers with Independents are 10 points lower right now than Obama’s were, when the Dems got wiped out in Congress in the 2010 elections. That is what the WaPo is trying to hide.

At the end of 2019, Trump had a very simple appeal to the black male and female voters: jobs. It took a nationwide organized race riot and a pandemic lock down to get past that.
What will Biden do in 2022 and 2024, now that race riots and pandemic lock downs have been used up, and won't work to keep blacks on the Democrat Party plantation?

Imagine you're a black guy named for an incompetent milquetoast white guy offered up in sacrifice to the God-Emperor Reagan. How would you deal with that? It could hardly be worse than being named after Barney Fife:

REGISTRAR: Name, please?

BLACK DUDE: Robinson, B. F.

REGISTRAR: First name, please?

BLACK DUDE: I was named for B. F. Skinner, the famous behavioral psychologist. You see, my dad was really impressed by Walden Two and...

REGISTRAR: First name?

BLACK DUDE: (sheepishly) Barney.

REGISTRAR: (snort) Walden Two, eh? Nice try, Barney. I recommend you nip it, nip it in the bud, Barney.

On the other hand, Walter Mondale Robinson might be a source of perverse pride, a sort of "My Name is Sue, How do you do?" kinda thing, which would account for his preference for his first initial and middle name. W. Mondale invites the supposition Walter, leading to a derisive chuckle, which in turn invites a punch in the mouth, followed by a knock-down-drag-out in the mud and the blood and the beer. In other words, a Titanic-scale social icebreaker.

Biden's bad poll numbers are mostly due to the bad economy. And that's mostly due to problems caused by government responses to Covid.

It's apparently news to our elites that many vital jobs actually require physical labor that can't be easily done while wearing a mask. Other important stuff like loading and unloading ships, trains or trucks can't be done very well while social distancing.

Completely unnecessary school closing have not only cost kids two vital years of education, they've also forced millions of parents to quit working because the kids are not in school.

Another stupidity was overly generous unemployment benefits, which caused millions to stop looking for work. Now that those benefits are finally ending, people are not returning to the labor force, they're just dropping out altogether. That's why the unemployment rate is down while the number of new jobs is (Unexpectedly!) quite low.

Let's not even get started on the evictions moratoriums. They have some of the same bad effects as rent control: They cost landlords dearly, and they cause tenants to remain in place rather than move to where the jobs are.

Now that the Republicans are out of power nationally, it's up to the Democrats to abolish stupid Covid rules and regulations, and they're not doing it. Instead, they're attacking the Republican governors who are trying to revive their economies. People will figure this out, and the Democrats are going to pay a heavy price electorally.

So strange. We have been assured by all the leftist/LLR usual suspects that:

- The collapse of Biden's poll numbers across the board is the fault of Trump voters who won't get vaccinated.....literally.....supposedly
- The economy is actually going gangbusters and we are headed toward ANOTHER Summer of Recovery in 2022!! (which will mark the 10th Summer of Recovery that failed to materialize under obama/biden & Biden's earpiece (really Ron Klain/obama) administrations)
- Employment is way way up! (because lots of people keep dropping out of the workforce and aren't counted so hurray!)
- There is no inflation....its all a "republicans pounce" lie!!...except for all those pesky reports from manufacturers that costs are continuing thru the roof and the Fed is already continuously extending the timeline for runaway inflation and the tell tale sign of the "richie riches" investing in land and hard/tangible assets continues at a pace signalling significant bearish outcomes in the near and longer term
- There are no supply chain problems at all.....you just think you are seeing them
- Biden's 2020 plan to "crush COVID" is working perfectly!!..even though it never existed.....except for the actual reality of using the "Delta variant" (and whatever other "variant will be required) increase in cases to continue the march towards total ChiCom Social Media scoring of citizens with punishment for those not sufficiently "woke"/marxist/LLR
- There is no crisis at the border and if there is, its all Trump's fault anyway....but really there isn't a crisis there....even though some democraticals claim there is....but they are lying because "Orange Man"...besides, Kamala has it nailed down....
- CRT does not even exist! It's only a "theory" taught only to the most "sophisticated college students"...even though hundreds of K-12 marxist/LLR teachers are posting videos of themselves saying they will continue teaching it anyway.....and the Attorney General's own family is making millions selling the marxist/maoist crap directly to schools!
- Afghanistan "Operation Reward Taliban and Continue Giving Them Money" went swimmingly and there are no American hostages trapped there.....which is why Biden is now sending even MORE money to the Taliban....and not even bothering to strap it all on pallets for delivery. Nope, direct deposit for his Taliban/ChiCom pals! (remember, somehow, 10% for the "Big Guy".)
- George "The Walrus" Conway is a "Clauswitz-ian military strategy genius"
- There is no such thing as antifa
- The BLM riots were "peaceful" and caused no damage and should never be spoken of again...since they never happened...and were simultaneously completely justified....er, had they actually happened....which they didn't.....shut up H8ter!
- Lawrence Tribe and Lawfareblog are "neutral", "straight down the middle" legal "analysts" whose advice must always be taken

This list is actually endless.

Cloward-Piven on display across the board in real time.

Of course, despite the legacy media/marxist/dem/LLR lies, the entire world sees it and is acting accordingly.

Taiwan is on their own against the ChiCom/dems/islamic supremacist/LLR alliance. Japan is moving aggressively to increase their naval power and naval strike capabilities (fixed wing aircraft carriers for the first time since WW2 and, interestingly, naming those ships as they did prior to WW2, a welcome sight from our Japanese allies....which the dems/LLR's will despise, naturally)

Etc etc etc

“The next big crisis is coming fast. The vaccine mandates are going to shut down a lot of the country. Southwest Airlines is canceling flights because employees refuse vaccination and the LA County Sheriff has refused it for deputies. It is just beginning.”

why did the SWA pilots protest so visibly? After all, in the airline industry, they considered to have some of the best labor relations. One reason may be that for someone in charge of hundreds of lives at a time, they cannot afford to drop dead from the vaccine while pilot in control, in the air. An Army flight surgeon has announced that she is grounding any flight crew who get vaccinated until they get a special MRI of their hearts. Many, if not most, of the SWA (and other airline) pilots are ex-military, so take that sort of thing seriously. Much more seriously than the airline.

That is a big problem on the horizon. The Biden Administration is acting brain dead when it comes to vaccines. There is no rational reason to force those with natural immunities to be vaccinated. At best, it may just reduce the effectiveness of their current immunity. At worse, it may kill them. Plenty of other professions pose some danger to others if they keel over dead at an inconvenient time, due to this novel barely tested gene therapy being sold as a vaccine: e.g. police, fire, truck drivers, etc. And now, for no logical reason, they are trying to vaccinate teenagers, and then younger kids - despite those age groups facing almost no risk from the virus.
