"HAPPY EASTER!... NO MORE DACA DEAL!... Mexico doing very little, if not NOTHING!... stop their cash cow NAFTA! NEED WALL!..."

A man with 50 million followers only has 6 "Moments"... just one of the many inexplicable things about Trump.

Did he go to church on Easter? I notice there's a 2 hour gap between "HAPPY EASTER!" and  NO MORE DACA DEAL!... Mexico doing very little, if not NOTHING!... stop their cash cow NAFTA! NEED WALL!..."

Is he eating too much candy?

HAPPY EASTER!...  NEED SALVATION!...

Ironic that it is likely the strong jobs market attracting illegal immigrants. To the extent Trump's policies have strengthened the economy, he is partly to blame for the influx.

Mexico is not just "doing little"; they are facilitating the transportation of the migrating hordes from Central America and points south through Mexico to the US border.

As for the loony left; I think they finally can see their way to break up the Union that they never liked.

The 1938 short story, Leiningen and the Ants, Carl Stephenson, provides the solution to the coming hoards.

Presently there's a 1,000 person hoard that Mexico is "allowing" to move through its territory. Confrontation is imminent.

As Leiningen knew, when it's you or them, you'll know what to do. Or to paraphrase George Scott as Patton, "When you put your hand in that pile of goo that a moment before had been your best friend's face, you'll know what to do."

It almost seems like there is organization and support for people in Central America to travel north to the US.

Almost like there are a bunch of extremely wealthy people who are playing a long game to replace American voters with poor people from South/Central America.

Almost like they have purchased both major political parties in the US and are trying to erase the borders.

Almost.

The way I see it, is that - on average - 35,000 people are killed in the USA every year in traffic accidents.

This means that there are 35,000 citizenship slots available.

I would propose a lottery. Every month 2700 random names will be chosen from a list, and those chosen will be awarded birthright citizenship on the spot.

In addition, that person will be given $500,000 USD to use as they wish. The money being given over five years, and funded by the automobile importer companies as a basis for doing business in the USA and it's possessions.

The $500,000 can be exchanged for up to five extra slots, each forfeiting $100,000.

Dear Etienne,

Really? So after 9/11 we could have imported 3000 Arabs, is your thinking?

Why don't we just let all the immigrants in, then arrest them, execute them, and burn the bodies for electricity? You can't keep up with your own shtick.

Those 1200 Honduran invaders are the tip of the iceberg. Look at Gaza. Soon we will have tens of thousands of invaders massing at the border. Unlike the Israelis, who are facing the exact same situation in Gaza, our officers will not fire on the crowds, and the invaders will overrun the Border Patrol. Massive numbers will escape arrest and disperse throughout the Southwest, where they will be welcomed by the likes of La Raza and Jerry Brown.

This will be the critical, defining event of the Trump administration and of the immigration debate. It will determine whether or not we can control our borders.

Fortunately, these mass invasions will provide the political muscle Trump needs to seize control of the border and build The Wall.

PS. This is a good opportunity for ISIS to smuggle in fighters and weapons.

They are certainly pliable--and reliable--employees, which is why so many employers want to employ them...they do the work and they can't complain!

However, they're not voters, as you know, being, uh, non-citizens. Now, if you can show verifiable statistics that illegal immigrants are flooding the polling places at election time--not just allegations, and not just a small number that may have actually succeeded in voting, but substantial numbers over time and around the nation--I'll grant you that point, as well.

When I came in many moons ago, each country had an "immigration quota" with the expressed aim of keeping the ethnic mix of the country roughly the same as in 1913 - why 1913 I do not know, but probably because Woodrow Wilson (D) worried himself about such matters.
That may still be on the books for all I know, but has obviously long gone by the wayside.

However, the first thing to decide is whether to continue to have a Federal Republic at all. If the answer is yes, then we can sit down and negotiate what the rules shall be for the future.

The attempted mass migration that is shaping up at the Mexican border will indeed be a defining moment. For the Trump administration. For both the Democratic and Republican parties.

The Democratic Party was always the party of slavery. Now they want low cost slaves in the Mexican illegals they exploit as nannies or yard workers. They might not be slaves in the ownership sense but they are slaves none the less. The Republican establishment also got used to abusing this slave labor.

The working class has to stand with President Trump in any extreme measures he might take to prevent this invasion.

We need water and we need lots of good people.' At that point an aging senator from Vermont asked Ashurst to yield. 'If the gentleman will forgive me, that’s all they need in hell.' link

It's not important how many people it kills. The truth is, that people buy assault weapons for the same reason they buy 4-wheel drive trucks that are 20 feet off the ground.

They buy those guns and trucks, and chewing tobacco, because they saw them in endless re-runs of bad movies.

And we could help them contain these marauders from their south.

The march underway is said to be 1000 people strong. They have 2000 miles to march. Unless they are led by Alexander they will have no way to feed themselves, no way to make it. Mexico will be very sad these 1000 are strung out over their country, exhausted, unwilling to go forward or to retreat.

Robert Cook,

Texas was not "obtained" by a southern push by the United States.

The nation of Texas won its independence from an oppressive Mexican government. This nation included the present territory of Texas, as well as parts of other states (although much of this territory was disputed).

After it became apparent that Texas would have difficulty standing alone as a nation next to the powerful Mexico, Texas accepted statehood from the United States.

Yes, this is a simplification of a complex chain of events, but there you have it.
