Strong woman, weak man.

Is that a theme? I mean, other than on this blog this morning....

Liked the Bubble skit. The man can afford to seem weak because he's strong economically. The woman can't because she's still weak. My favorite bit was when he said we don't see color but we celebrate it and she had a double take. I also liked the picture of Bernie on their dollar bill.

The good news from inside the Bubble is that they will not procreate. That is because these eternal children have no time for marrying, carrying babies and raising them to become men and women. That is so Conservative.

All white men are made to look stupid on TV. It's part of the Leftwing Feminist programming.

Is that a theme?

Yes, yes it is. And has been one for decades.

We're now so conditioned to it....every commercial involving a hetero couple (and those are fewer and fewer! ) features a metrosexual struggling to fill his new, liberated role as House Frau. THe wife comes striding in, plops the grocery bag on the counter, from which Mr Metro plucks from the top a new Laxative product, that only his Wise Woman Wife and Primary Breadwinner has enough confidence to recommend. SHe is fearless. she is informed. SHe is constipated. He bows before her.
Tv shows likewise depict women shoulder to shoulder and in equal numbers as EMS technicians, firefighters, hek lumberjacks. meanwhile in real life, when you see news footage of forest fires the females do not seem to turn out in promised droves. Nor has a female plumber, electrician or air conditioning tech ever answered a call.
The whole women-are-just-like-men thing has always been a scam. But one thing it seems to have accomplished is to kill the maternal instinct in my daughter's generation. Except rescue dogs. They're having rescue dogs, not babies.

I have male relative in art school who in the last year declared themself to be an agendered pansexual. While shopping at Burlington weekend before election, I came across an article of clothing for them, a woman's vest, size 12, long and black, no buttons, narrow lapels, double-vent in back, . Damn chic, and a steal at $30, so I bought it as an xmas gift for them.

The dilemma is that the vest is a product of Ivanka Trump, Inc (made in China, natch) and my relative is an SJW, though a fairly quiet one. Should I remove the label before wrapping it up?

Heavens, no! If naught else for the entertainment value of seeing the transition from glee at the wonderful gift turn into the type of horror that SHOULD be reserved for cases when a snake is found resting in the garment.

Girls need to have their self esteem boosted or else they can't do STEM. I applaud our efforts to make girls think they are getting stronger. Also, I am not threatened or worried about boys getting their feewings hurt by a few ads or TV shows that show off a smart, strong chick in front of a simpering wimp. That ad tells me (if I was that age) she's the girl for me because I want strong, smart kids, let the wimp have the weak silly stupid vacuous girls and inferior offspring.

Jesus, Mick. Grow a pair.

White men have been and continue to dominate the modern world. We have enjoyed living high on the hog: have the best land, the best waters, the best women (that all other men covet), the best infrastructure, the best machines, the best toys, the best playgrounds, the most freedom, etc. Now we have to pretend white women can have all that as well. We're still in charge and a little advertising is not going to change that.

Didn't say white men did not have all that, but the feminists (on both sides of the gender aisle) are doing their best to program the world that white men are stupid and evil.

So What, Mick. We have lorded over the world for centuries and women are just blowing off some steam. You need to grow a thicker skin because this minor, temporary hissy-fit will blow over as soon as the car needs fixing or the trash handled. They are trolling the right and feed of the responses. If a feminut skreeches and you don't listen, it will quit skreeching.

Mick: I have to give you props for your election prediction. You never wavered and were spot on, well done.

Those clothes look like uniforms that would have been issued in the re-education camps which (unexpectedly!) will now not be built. The purpose is to break the educatee's spirit by making him/her look unattractive.

That I did.
