Donald Trump in Wisconsin — doing the Charlie Sykes show.

Audio.

1. He didn't even know that picture of Heidi Cruz he retweeted was supposed to be a particularly bad picture of her.

2. Sykes replays that ad with women reading old Trump quotes about women. Trump's response is about all the women he's hired and put in high positions. Look at his actions. And he was "a celebrity," going on Howard Stern and such, not thinking about how it would sound if he were to run for office.

3. Trump has said Wisconsin is doing terribly. Won't that make Scott Walker look bad? Trump says he got the info from TIME Magazine.

4. Isn't Trump's claim to be a conservative just "a giant fraud"? Trump says he's a strong conservative, but trade might be an exception. When it comes to trade, he's for "smart trade."

5. What would happen to the price of goods if Trump imposed the tariff he's threatened? Trump says it will never happen. You just need a threat to get a good deal. Sykes asks how's that going to work if you just revealed it's a bluff? Sykes chuckles at what he clearly thinks is a gotcha. Trump ignores it.

6. If you can't unite Republicans, how can you unite the country? How can you beat Hillary? Well, he will beat Hillary, Trump asserts. And he's a businessman, and that's what this country needs. We're getting ripped off! Sykes breaks in: How are you going to work with Congress? How will you get along with Paul Ryan? I'm not surprised that Trump simply says he'll get along.

7. Sykes: "Mr. Trump, before you called into my show, did you know I'm a #NeverTrump guy?" Trump: "That I didn't know." Sykes splutters a bit, perhaps slightly wounded that Trump didn't care enough to find out about him. Trump makes a good interpersonal move, stating that he knows Sykes is "an intelligent guy" and "You know what's going on." And that's a segue back to an issue... NATO. Which is kind of amusingly backhanded, because Sykes wanted to talk about himself. But why is Sykes's #NeverTrumpishness significant to Trump? Trump goes on many shows and probably rarely is the interviewer a supporter. What does "NeverTrump" add to the standard opposition? It's not as if his other hostile interviewers are in a not-now-but-possibly-later frame of mind. They're all presumptively NeverTrumpers. How can it faze him?

8. Sykes gets back to the issue he began with, Trump's retweet of the photos of Heidi and Melania. Sykes couches it is some kind of statement about not beginning the show with the standard Wisconsin hospitality, but he immediately moves to badgering Trump about apologizing. Does Trump ever apologize? Sykes wants to know. Unsurprisingly, Trump brushes past the abstraction of whether he ever apologizes and goes on again about how Cruz owes him an apology for that ad with the GQ picture of Melania and there's a repetition of all the business that began the show: That ad was independent of the Cruz campaign (Sykes), but Cruz knew all about it (Trump). Sykes advises Trump about the people of Wisconsin: The people of Wisconsin would like to hear him say the candidates shouldn't be talking about each other's wives. Trump says that's great. He agrees... but Cruz started it. Sykes reacts to the "he started it" with: "We're not on a playground." Trump agrees, and: "My views are not playground views. My views are that our country is losing on every front...." And there he is back on the issues. He rattles off his issues — NATO, the Second Amendment — and the clock has run out and Sykes can only get in the thanks for coming on the show.

Chuck,

You are the shithead. You mentioned Trump's donations to Dems without also mentioning his donations to GOP, including your favorite Cannuck. You speculated instead of digging into what they provide Trump. Look what Trump got for the 5,000 donation to your Cannuck. Quit being lazy and thoughtless. You're making Republicans look stupid.

Chuck, that's a lot of question marks? Sounds like you don't know shit?

The plan is not to abandon Europeans a la Iraq, Libya, Syria, etc., but to introduce class diversity that will be exploited to intimidate, discriminate, and disenfranchise them.

"If China doesn't crush North Korea and take way their nukes then we sell nukes to Japan and South Korea so they can defend themselves from North Korea. China will understand and we can let them have Taiwan to sweeten the deal"

We "let" them have Taiwan?

What a fun world this will be when Trump bestrides it like the colossus that he is.

Now excuse me while I go dig up my old duck and cover drill book.

I don't know--I just can't see the GOP not nominating the guy who got more votes in the primaries than anyone else. It's sort of lose-lose for the GOP this year.

The GOP was cursed with idiots who were in love with themselves. Rubio and Bush ended up being some of the best friends Trump had. And they continue to be that. But unless Trump can say "Look, my numbers are getting better as it goes on", it'll be hard to argue that he's developed a coalition of any sort. Especially given that he has been given, gratis, ten or so times more coverage than any other candidate for months now.

Kasich might be running out of money.

Good. Get the clown out. Him winning OH was a disaster.

M Jordan: @Bill Roberts: "Immigration? Gracias, Senor Trump.".
Because this literally wasn't an issue before he brought it up. Except it was"

Not really. It was a debating point --

Exactly. "Debating points" pander to the rubes, who can then be ignored.

Reasonable belief: Trump is pandering, too, and won't actually do anything about immigration.

Beyond stupid: Not understanding that the GOPe is an open borders party, and that the donors and establishment will not back any candidate who they think will actually be pro-restrictionist.

but I don't think that Cruz will get Trump's delegates.

But Kasich could get 60% of them, after Trump endorses him.

Cruz will get 20% maybe even 30% of Trump's delegates - those whom he selected to go to the eonvention as delegates committed to Trump - but this will make Trump very angry.

Kasich won't poach from Trump at first, except maybe the 3 automatic delegates per delegation, but only from everybody else.

Ryan and others will be urging that delegates vote for one of the candidates who came into the convention and that will slow down votes for other names, especially Paul Ryan.

In the early ballots Kasich will be careful to arrange matters so that his vote total rises in every ballot, by holding back some switches, while Cruz will hold approximately steady because Kasich is manipulating the vote count, and may even drop between the second and the third, or maybe the third and the fourth ballots. .

When it looks like Cruz could get the nomination, Trump will make a deal with Kasich rather than have the convention break for Cruz, or somebody else altogether. Trump won't have any ideologica objections to Kasich.

When Trump contacts Kasich, Kasich will offer Trump some honor, a possible modest role in the campaign, places on his Presidential transition team in November and December, appointments to cabinet or other important positions for people Trump recommends - not specific cabinet positions, and not an ability to place specific people in the government, but a committment to appoint some people to some important positions and before that or he's a double-crosser, some hints at occasional consultations, and maybe a determination to find an appointment for him on some to be established presidential commission on something or other, and maybe on two or three of them. One of them dealing with trade. He'll get the chairmanship on that one.

Cruz will attempt to offer Trump the same deal or better, but Trump won't trust him to fulfill it.

Chuck:

Conclusion - Donald Trump is lying about the Cruz "purchase" of the right to use the photo(s).

Trump mentioned that only near the end, and even then, only as a possibility.

My feeling about that is, Trump knew he was not on solid ground saying that, but he didn't know 100% for a fact it was false, and it didn't originate inside his campaign.

Did Donald Trump really say that? That we can let China have Taiwan?

Regarding Make America Awesome:

If it doesn't have its own Post Office Box, it's a organization without too much funds.

I haven't gotten too much insight into what exactly is its legal status.

It says here, http://docquery.fec.gov/cgi-bin/fecimg/?C00594176 that it's an INDEPENDENT EXPENDITURE-ONLY COMMITTEE and it is registered at the Federal Elections Commission. So that would mean it is a PAC, wouldn't it?

This secondary website http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-bloggers/3414130/posts says that, as of February 29, there were only 7 contributions of over $200. (Another $18,000 wwas raised through smaller donations)

The biggest one, for $500, is from Ann Sheffer, who served on the President’s Committee on the Arts and Humanities under President Bill Clinton. And Breitbart reported that another one of the over $200 contributors - actually one of the six $250 ones - more, Juleana Glover, is a former George W. Bush and Bill Kristol employee who now works for Teneo Holdings.

This is a company that was basically started by and for Bill Clinton and gave him a contract that, if this was carried out, would have paid him $3.5 million.

http://nypost.com/2015/06/21/clinton-confidant-cuts-ties-with-the-formidable-family/

And look who worked for it:

In addition to Clinton, former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, former US Sen. George Mitchell and Ed Rollins, Ronald Reagan’s campaign manager, all came
on board at Teneo.

No, that's not Ronald Reagan campaign manager Ed Rollins but 1992 Clinton double-agent Ed Rollins. He made a mysterious very helpful to Demopcrats claim about "voter suppression" right after the 21993 New Jersey Gubernatorial election. I have a suspicion as to what Bill Clinton blackmailed him about. (something that I think maybe he did for him in the spring of 1993.)

Anyway, I read at: http://www.judicialwatch.org/bulletins/teneo-the-clinton-machine/

Teneo serves as a kind of private-enterprise satellite to Clinton Inc. Doug Band, Mr. Clinton’s right-hand man for many years, is a Teneo founder. Huma Abedin, Mrs. Clinton’s right-hand woman for many years, was a senior advisor to Teneo at the same time she held a top position as part of Mrs. Clinton’s inner circle at the State Department. Bill Clinton was both a paid adviser to Teneo and a client. Secretary of State Clinton’s former Economic Envoy to Northern Ireland, Declan Kelly, is a Teneo co-founder and CEO.

Teneo employed top Hillary Clinton aide Huma Abedin when she was working at the State Department. She is now the vice chairwoman of the Hillary Clinton campaign.
(and also the wife of Anthony Weiner - Bill Clinton made the match)

So we see some very possible Clinton ties to Make America Awesome.

Liz Mair, who runs Make America Awesome used to work for Scott Walker and got fired a year ago (March 18, 2015 or so) the day after she was hired to work on his campaign because she immediately started attackng Iowa's position in the presidential campaign and ethanol subsidies. Then she started criticizing Scott Walker.
