The trout lilies are in bloom again.

Such a strange flower...

Meanwhile, at Meade's, "I once got lost, but now I'm found...."

Althouse can no longer hide the truth. See the second post of links in the E-Cigarette post comments (the first do not work). Althouse Replacement Theory is Real.

This trout lille looks like a fan dancing spider jumping for joy.

And why not!

The regular bike route trout lily hasn't reappered.

It's a native flower, so perhaps indians took it.

Is that the same as the wood lilly?

At my parents farm they have wood lillies, jack in the paupers and some other really interesting flower that has like a jacket on top of the bloom.

tits.

jack in the pulpit! cool flower.

Wood lillies are also called trilliums. My parents farm have thousands of them but you are not supposed to pick them.

There is another flower that has like 4 or 5 "pillows" on each side, it is white, not sure what it is called but they grow wild on my parents farm too.
tits.

Plants are capable of suffering so don't pick the lilies.

Down here ours are white with yellow center bits.
Trout lilies that is.

Purple trilliums are always the first up. Mayapples have just come up. With a little more rain we'll start looking for morels near the river.
