"It’s Not Just MSNBC Making Flip Assumptions About Non-Liberal Racism."

In case you've been distracted by the Cheerios this morning, Matt Welch explains things.

It's ugly.

MSNBC is UGLY.

There is no getting around it. Martin Bashir, Alec Baldwin, Meliisa Harris-Perry, the no name tweeter, the no name editors of video (you know cutting out that the person holding a gun at a tea Party Rally was BLACK! (horrors), George Zimmerman, Mike Huckabee, etc., etc.)

Did you know according to Andrea Mitchell that the USA and Iran were good buddies until Bush included them in his "Axis of Evil" group in his State of the Union address? One person I used to look to for good information is going down the rabbit whole with the rest of the goons over there.

Nobody ever calls out progressives for being glib -- and they should be called out, frequently and loudly.

When an indefensible assertion of racism is casually tossed off as if it were some kind of in-joke, it should be met with a vigorous bitch slap. If it's delivered often enough, progressives might get the message.

Not really. They will never get it because they are invincible in their insanity. But it is fun to bitch slap them arround.

"The othering business"

Great phrase.

Scott said...

@CStanley: Yeah. It's a locution that should be injected wherever appropriate. If people are aware of othering, maybe they'll think twice before doing it.

@cubanbob: I feel a CafePress coffee mug coming on: Smiley Face + "Have You Bitch Slapped a Progressive Today?"

I have to admit, I am casually insulted by people on the left much more often than on the right. There've been plenty of times that a friend of mine has had to stop and say, "Well, I mean -- not you. But all other conservatives," so-on-so-forth.

@Matthew Sabian: I know the type. Then, they unfriend you on Facebook.

I've never had that happen.

I have noticed that most commercial families are "uniracial" and since the Mad Men are doing this there must be a reason. I think it's the Black activist response that they are worried about (not conservatives as claimed). The same people who criticize Clarence Thomas would get up in arms. In the real world of most of this country, biracial couples are more frequent (and not a big deal) than in prime time advertisements.

Diversity demands separation of ethnic groups. The opposition to integration is either a feature of their agenda or reflection of their character. Either way, with the assistance of abortion and other population control strategies, the numbers favor their goal or predisposition.

We've been told since we were very young that the argument ad hominem is invalid. If you think somebody has said something wrong, you should refute the argument. Attacking the person who made the argument doesn't refute the argument.

But too many liberals, in the media and in government, have found that (a) it's hard to refute arguments, but (b) it's easy to attack the people who make the arguments.

It had to be pointed out to me by the media that the couple (in the first ad) were indeed biracial. I hadn't taken notice of that, because it didn't really matter to the commercial's message.

Go look at the comments on most right-wing sites about this news story. A good portion of them are highly racist. It's a shameful tweet to accuse all right-wingers of racism, because it's untrue. But it's also true that the right wing has a racism problem. This is demonstrated quite easily by reading sites like Breitbart, national review, American thinker, Daily Caller, Wnd on any given day.

Bullshit.

And what do you have against black people?
