"Lonnie Johnson is the only male snuggler. He's previously held 9-to-5 jobs..."

"... but he said he wanted to answer the call so that he could help people."
"I was thinking to myself, 'man that is such a good idea,'" said Johnson. "Whether they admit to it or not, every human being needs love, needs to be cared about, needs physical contact as well."

How do cuddle prostitutes feel about cuddling when they go home?

Pale imitation.

I remember Madison in the 1970's when there were several "massage" parlors within two blocks of the capitol. There was sex. That was the point.

The manager, Hannah Rode, said it is not a place for sex.

So, why am I going to pay you??

There's the Argument Clinic if you're not in the mood.

As of Friday evening, the small business had not received the proper permits to open.

Plural permits. Madison is really and truly weighed down by bureaucratic oversight.

All for our own good, of course.

Maybe they are very hot to have actual sex with their partner.

Think of it in the realm of a massage or a talk therapist, both of whom will not lie down with you and hug you. Why do people pay them?

What if someone would lie down in bed with you, hold you affectionately in their arms, and talk nicely with you about whatever you wanted?

Why isn't that worth paying for? Isn't that something people need?

Compared sex, it is much harder to do for yourself.

Think about it.

Cuddling with someone you have no feelings for feels creepy.

Get a dog?

Do the same emotional benefits accrue from cuddling with a dog?

Just imagine one of these assholes with a ridiculously huge "service dog" (or service horse, for that matter) climbing into bed with a professional human cuddler but needing to have the damn service dog in the bed with them.

Could the cuddling service refuse?
