It's like waking up from an alcoholic binge/blackout without any of the social cost!
"You can zoom in on the map."So far I've been happy to get the correct continent. My first guess of arid Africa turned out to be in Australia.
McDonald's is everywhere
Game finished! You got 11056 points in total.
Last round points: 2254 Total points: 8178 Round: 5/5This is fun.I got Australia right twice... it helped to read the comments.I mistook the middle of Canada for Alaska. The worst was I thought I was in Israel when I was in Portugal.
Someone should sneak in some Mars Rover pictures.
Got 9555 - missed the last round, thought North Africa/Southern France was Mexico.Cost me about 2000 points. But, yeah, interesting game.

I don't know how I compare but this cant be too bad.Althouse college and blogger... I forget her name... world traveler ... should really be good at this.
This is really fun.The closest I got was the canadian coastline/nova scotia.
Very fun!I got 11494 in my first go. Of course, one of them I knew was Monterey, CA because I could see the Monterey Bay Aquarium sign. Which is one of the best aquariums in the world to visit. All the others, I got the right continent, and all but one the right country (South American countries blend together for me, apparently)
Sorun, I had the same error, but I was happy to get the exact right Latitude!I mistook Ireland for New Zealand too.
One has an American flag... dead giveaway. It helps to look around, but the look will only go so far.
I got my first intercontinental? miss.I thought I was in Colombia when I was really in Botswana.
Game finished! You got 13622 points in total.
Game finished! You got 14677 points in total. The "You Are Here" Tweed Shire, New South Wales map on the side of the road was a dead giveaway.

Another fun and similar game is Locatestreet -- a lot like GeoGuessr, but with the ability to see only Street View images in selected areas.
Great fun! We guessed Iraq for one spot because it looked like the entrance to an airport built by Saddam. It was Detroit.
I got Rock Springs Wyoming.
Very addictive: http://bit.ly/179e8w3
Lots of fun thinga you can do with streetviews. My favorite recent pastime with it has been tied to a new obsession with genealogy....loking at all of the Polish towns of my ancestors.I also played a "paint this scene" game on an art blog a while back, where a random streetview was chosen for a daily painting.
