"Clearly, there’s no one better positioned to talk ‘heartland values’ than Tammy."

Gay-baiting?

Gay pride parades are pretty atrocious and obnoxious.

In NYC and SF, they feature thousands of naked men walking down the main thoroughfares of the cities.

Why should this be supported or tolerated? This kind of behavior belongs in private.

I don't know of any heterosexual community that would tolerate heteros doing this.

A copy of Nemoir’s email obtained by the Blade shows that it was sent to news media outlets and others on a Thompson for Senate email account.

These bigots can go fuck themselves. Not only anti-gay, but too cowardly to own it.

What a ghastly spoiled brat you are, Andy.

The spanking may be forthcoming.

Madison baiting?

Dumb, perhaps, but the sarcasm has a point?

Does she represent WI's attitudes?

Never been to Mardi Gras, eh?

Shouting Thomas said...

Yes, I have been to Mardi Gras.

Outside of a little tit flashing, nothing happens that is comparable to the Gay Pride parades.

edutcher said...

And the cops keep a lid on that.

Not only was Wisconsin the first state in the Midwest to ban gay marriage, there were also many comments about those "union fags" during the recall elections. It is pretty clear what the state's "attitude" towards homosexuals are.

I like Tammy, but she is gonna get creamed in this election.

And exactly how many Gay Pride parades have you been to? For someone who obviously doesn't like gay people, you sure seem to know a lot about them and regularly attend their parades.

Shouting Thomas said...

Yes, Freder, I lived in the West Village for 20 years.

I have a lot of gay friends.

I just hate lying. The "persecution of the gays" is most a fabrication, or an outrageous overstatement.

I also don't have anything against having a good time. I am a whoremonger of the first order.

That kind of behavior belongs in private.

As someone who lived there I gotta tell you there is a lot of stuff happening at Mardi Gras that is WAAAAY more outlandish than the video clip our hostess shared with us.

I guess you just stayed in the tourist areas, eh?

That aside, I've been looking for more information about these "thousands of naked men" who walk down the main streets of major cities but can't seem to find anything that supports your claim. (I've seen stories about thousands of people, but nothing about 'em all being naked..unless you are one of those folks who consider a speedo to be akin to "naked")

Did you have a link to an actual story or was it one of those things you heard on the radio or something?

If you are an elected official what you do in public is fair game in a political campaign. If the Democrats had video of Thompson doing something goofy in public they would use it. Normal politics.

But she's a lesbian, and not supposed to be subjected to ridicule for dancing bra-less at a union rally. Don't you know anything?

Sad to say, you can see Gay Pride parades on the 6 o'clock news.

Wonder how drunk Tommy Thomson will show up for the first debate.

Who can forget this?

During a May 2007 debate, while he was running for president, Thompson said he believed private businesses should be able to fire employees because of their sexual orientation. Soon after, he said that was not his position and that he misspoke during the debate because his hearing aid was dead, he was sick and he urgently needed to go to the bathroom.

Shouting Thomas said...

garage,

I work in the media biz in NYC.

There are entire shops in the arts that are 100% gay.

This does not happen by accident. Gays like having places where they can be themselves and exclude straights.

Why shouldn't straights do this, too?

EMD said...

Thompson is a crap candidate for making this a point.

I kind of hope he loses, even though he won't.

I think they do, everyday?

Considering sexual orientation is a 'protected class' you would have a hard time coming up with an example of this.

If anything companies are too afraid of gays to openly avoid hiring them.

Cavorting on stage to the Wonder Woman theme is pretty bad, but at least it wasn't an Indigo Girls show.

Penguin,

Union thugs, yes. Union fags? I've never heard anything remotely like that anywhere. Do you have any sourcing on that?

Pretty tame stuff. She does a good white girl dance and is feeling the music. It kind of makes me like her. Not vote for her though.

A bra would be more age appropriate. When your bouncing boobs never get above the sternum, it's time to bind the girls.

SomeoneHasToSayIt said...

She traffics in her orientation every time she thinks it benefits her, so as far as I am concerned, she should hence be referred to as Tammy "lesbian" Baldwin, just as it should always be Al "tawana brawley" Sharpton, and Elizabeth "fauxahontas" Warren.

In for penny, in for a pound.

Own it.

T-man,

When I asked to source a claim it is only after I first tried to look it up on Google myself. A quick search will show that while you haven't personally encountered the slur, it is definitely being used.

I remember seeing it on this blog a couple times, as well as in the comments of a video showing a Walker supporter attacking a petition-gatherer.

Why wouldn't Baldwin get the same percentage of Wisconsin votes that Obama would get? Would one of you Wisconsin liberal commenters to this blog, please explain to me why you would vote for Obama, and not Baldwin? How about you, Althouse?

Really? Looking at your google results (did you Corky?):

Only one entry has anything to do with WI, but the writer is anonymous. He may not even be from Wisconsin. The rest has nothing to do with WI, and may don't have to do with some saying "Union Fags". it's jus the two words being placed back to back, such as this "Western Union - Fags and mags Branch Info".

Page two, page three, page four, nothing about anyone in WI saying "union fags".

By the way, why did you search on "union fags" to prove this point:

"Not only was Wisconsin the first state in the Midwest to ban gay marriage, there were also many comments about those "union fags" during the recall elections. It is pretty clear what the state'sattitude" towards homosexuals are."

Did you omit Wisconsin from your search because you are moron, or did you want to try to get more hits because you are a liar.

More pathetic bullshit from PP. SOP

Prove it.

Why the press won't show its readers the documents is quite a mystery. For years 60 minutes and Meet the Press have established precedent that to support your reporting you show your audience the documents. Then you get people, on the record, commenting about it.

When you do not have that what you actually have is no story, but rather primates flinging feces.

'cause the guy had said that he hadn't encountered the phrase anywhere.

And what point are you trying to make? Are you really trying to "prove" that nobody ever said/wrote "union fags" during the recall-elections?

THAT is what you are choosing to go to war over?!

*rolls eyes*

And seriously dude...do you really talk like the way you write? All that name-calling and cussing-out of people and the personal insults....is that really how you interact with others offline?

'cause if so, you must get your ass kicked a lot.
