OK, stop. Now you're just making fun of the place.

That store has seen better days. Is there a modern mall with ample parking outside of town?

The empty store front in WI is a perfect analogy of the GOP: Empty campaigns.

I cannot imagine under any circumstances that the GOP can win even 1 state. They will lose all states in 2012. The GOP will lose the House. Ryan's plan was a DOA, now more than ever.

The question is not that the GOP will lose all - WH, House, and Senate (bigger gains for Dems.) - but rather what will the GOP do after a massive, devastating 2012 defeats everywhere.

Also, since the GOP knows this will happen (see above), what are they doing to prepare them?

Will they hit the bars and cry?
Will they immigrate to another country (French have said no to the GOP)?
Will they form a new party (The New Tea Party?)

What will they do?

Harold Camping is live on the air, applying Bayes's theorem to the non-end of the world, and has come up with great deal of detail about what God has been up to recently.

It's pretty confusing, but that's what Bayes's theorem does for you.

Anyway as far as I can tell, the new date is October 21, 2011.

Everybody gets a 5-month reprieve; and the world has been warned but don't look for Camping to warn them more.

October 21 is it, though. It'll be quick.

What, are we into neo-realism here?

At least that storefront is being put to good use.

There are so many here in NE OH that aren't.

Bayes' Theorem only provides a probability of something occurring. Perhaps the crackpot is trying to cover his ass better this time.

Heh. I had wondered what Camping was up to now.

In hospital and on narcotics, my wife was greeted one morning by the Neuro doctors around her bed and standing inbetween them....

Several bears.

She didn't mention it at the time.

Pogo, I hope they were friendly bears.

If they're like Yorks, the doctors heard a growl and a look that said, "Touch her and die!!!".

Seriously, glad to hear she's on the mend.

Something like that is a terrible scare.

Well Pogo, you now have one of those secret family stories that you share with a snort and a smile from time to time with each other.

"It's the bears, dear."

The bears were "studious", she said, scribbling furiously as the staff MD spoke.

Indeed a scare, with or without bears.
