Scott Walker likened to Stalin... and to the Wicked Witch of the West.

Some analogies are more heavy-handed than others:

I talked to the man who combined "SS" and Stalin in his denouncement of Walker:

And to the young woman with the "Release the Flying Monkeys" sign:

Since there is a de facto govt shut down, could the Governor say that then no state employee could be paid? No govt, no money?

One of my university colleagues just told me that if this bill passes, Walker will take away our weekends. We'll have to work all seven days of the week, because the governor obviously has no sympathy for public workers and he'll turn us into slaves of the state.

And he was serious.

On what basis? As long as the budget says there’s money, there’s money…what government shut-down has occurred, at the state level? Sure the local schools might have this option, but you’d be hard-pressed to make the case at the statewide level.

Luxury. University folk will have it good. I heard that K-12 teachers will have sleep in a lake, then get out of the lake at six o'clock in the morning, clean the lake, eat a handful of hot gravel, work a twenty hour day at the school for a hundred dollars a month, come home, and then the governor will thrash them to sleep with a broken bottle, if they are lucky!

This person’s name and address, NOW! S/he has seen the “Sooper-Sekret” Plan, of the GOP…and must die!

Does your university colleague realize that, most likely, the university could compel work and attendance on weekends now, under certain circumstances? I’d imagine you are FLSA Exempt, so they don’t even have to offer over-time, but they could compel the Janitorial Staff to work on weekends, merely granting overtime and certain amount of rest in a certain amount of time…Your Boss has this power right now, is my point…it’s just the costs, 90% of the time, far outweigh any advantages.

I also heard that next on the governors's agenda is a bill that would call up the National Guard and begin the process of invading the Polish neighborhoods of Chicago.

I also heard from a friend of a friend who works in an office of a guy who once dated the governor's sister that tomorrow the governor is going to request funding from the legislature to build a huge drill. Then he is going to drill a nuclear warhead into the Earth's molten core and trigger volcanic eruptions worldwide, unless the unions pay him $1,000,000.

I don't get this "trying to ram the bill through" meme. I have not seen the bill, but is it some 1000 page tome that no one has read? Seems to me everyone has read it and knows exactly what is in it. They can have debate and propose amendments all they want if they'd just show up. Do they think anyone but the true believers is buying this?

Stalin and Hitler...well if either one had these folks showing up to protest in downtown Berlin or Moscow they would have in Hitler's case, turned the Gestapo, SiPo and Allgemeine-SS loose, and in Stalin's case, the NKVD and arrested the whole lot of them and thrown them into prison's never to be seen again; with the exception of the organizers who would have been the stars of show trials, before they were dealt with permanently.

They insult not only those they slander, but those that suffered and died under such truly ruthless dictators.

Again, they only damage their cause by such behavior.

In the interest of fairness I think Mussolini has been underrepresented in these protests.

Not to mention Idi Amin.. I dont want to be accused of using the race card but when you think of all the big name dictators its always the white German and Russian one that are payed homage to.

They never mention the Asian Pol Pot.. these protesters are a bunch of racist ;)

I heard from a co-woker who heard it second cousin in another state who once drove through Wisconsin as fast as he could that he read on the internet that Walker intended to hire a guy to hire another guy to drive a buts up the protesters with a sign on iy that says:

HEY ALL ORGANIZE FOR AMERICA PEOPLE: FREE SANDWICHES IN HERE

Then when the bus is full of protesters instead of giving them free sandwiches the driver drives the bus over a cliff but right before the bus gets to the edge of the cliff the bus driver jumps out so he lives but all the protesters in the bus die. And then that bus driver goes and gets another bus and does the same thing again over and over. And that's why Walker is worse than Hitler's flying ass monkeys.

I will be your huckleberry J.

Most cops I know are among the laziest people you can find. For everyone that is a hard charging crime fighter there are ten that are lazy douchenozzles. All of the guys I grew up with who became cops are already retired and most of them gamed the system to get bigger pensions. They have a tough job no doubt. As do fireman and sanitation workers. But the days of wine and roses are over. They will get their turn in the barrel soon enough.
