How about...the good works of the CCC at Devil's Lake SP?

More CCC. Less ACORN

The devil's staircase only goes down, not up.

Even if it's at Devil's Lake, that beautiful path is more Stairway to Heaven, than Devil's Staircase...

The "vision" of our Kenyan Marxist is clearly shown here. He wants the evil USA must be transformed back to the stone age along the Obama Staircase.

Love it.

Rahm's campaign may crash before it ever gets started. The state Municipal code (65 ILCS 5/3.1-10-5)requires all candidates to be residents for one year prior to the election. The section specifically exempts active duty servicemen or their spouses, but not Congressmen or other people serving in DC. To make matters worse for him, Rahm has been renting out his house, making it unlikely he's been spending nights and weekends there.

fls, no problem: it's Chicago.

Also: whether he rents the property or owns it is irrelevant, I think.

"Renters" can be residents of a state, provided that they meet other tests, of course.

The Devil's Staircase, an even better title than The Devil's Picnic.

I can hear Richard Widmark saying to George Peppard, "They don't call that pass The Devil's Staircase for nothing".

You beat me to it.

The term Resident means spending one night with the decision to make it into a residence, and a person can have more than one resisence. Another home in DC is not a problem...but no home in Chicago is another matter. So he only needs some one to lie about Rahm's spending the night in Chicago and leaving a suitcase there.

No, Emanuel has a tenant. Another family is living in the Emanuel manor.

If he was thinking about running for mayor the whole time, why would he make a booboo like this? Maybe he feared that an empty house would get vandalized. He should have stuck a cousin there instead of renting to strangers.

Thanks, fls.

He makes booboos because he's Rambo.

No, he's RahmBo. He doesn't shoot 'em up, he just leaves a dead fish in their mail box.

PS Tippytoes, in his parting words, said no President ever faced tougher challenges than The Zero.

Lincoln or Washington, anyone?

edutcher, I do admire a man who can dance. Rahm's ballet days are a saving grace in my book.

What is the Daley regulars' reaction to hearing Rahm is coming back to town?

No, let's escalate the discussion.

How come this country is so full of things named after the Devil?

Utah has plenty of them too, but it also has Zion National Park.

deborah,

It's the Chicago *way.*

You certainly don't have to hit me over the head with a dead fish.
