And the flower lovers came --The old, bending over stiffly for a whiff,Young flower faced women, flowers crowding their faces,And all in the moist moist moist that makes the flowers bloom.
It's gonna be like this most of next week. The Blonde will not be happy."Crusty conservative coating, creamy hippie love chick center." - there's a visual.
Is the woman holding an umbrella wearing a bhurka? I can't tell from the angle.
I want that umbrella!Toy
Ann: You need to learn to deal with getting happy when you see speech that delights, even when it is intended to delight. But how are we outsiders to the artwork supposed to contribute to the process of their learning how to deal with free expression? I don't think it is by gratuitously piling on outrageous beauty, because it doesn't show enough respect and care for the people who are trying to tolerate the expression that delights them.
I like free market capitalism. It reminds me of tulipomania, but it mostly works.
Tulips were a "new technology" in their day and people went crazy, as they always do. The only way to avoid a speculative bubble is to remove people's freedom. Good luck with that.
Hard to decide whether to sing or tiptoe in that case. Perhaps BOTH for the coordinated.
I love tulips. I was in Skagit County, Washington a few years ago and visited a tulip farm. There were thousands of red and pink tulips stretching to the horizon. April is the month the tulips bloom.
I found out recently that my debit card number has been used as a gift card number. Everyone needs to be careful. I have cancelled the card, but still credit charges are rolling in because those can be delayed for 3 days. Any advice on what to do in the future is appreciated.
HT, you've pretty much done all you can do. Until such time as the banks put in something more nearly resembling security, you have the choice between letting strangers dip into your bank account more or less at will, and not having a debit card.
Ohio tulips.Same house in 2006.
Use a credit card (so you're holding the money, not the banks); then use a virtual card number based on that account - so no online merchant gets your real number, and each number is good only for the merchant that uses it first (so it can't be lost even if a site is hacked).Citibank has virtual account numbers. I don't know if everybody does, or just them.
Thank you to Paul and R for responding.I was thinking about just not getting a debit card, as I am about to have a drastic lifestyle change and it might be possible. No Citi where I'm going to be, so I don't think I can do a virtual thing, unless I just get one of their credit cards by mail or something. Oh. It's all too complicated and time consuming. I really don't wanna get another damn cc. I wonder if the nasty criminals got my debit card number off the web? I sometimes do on line shopping. No. More.Never.
