"The total mindless, morally bankrupt, knee-jerk, fascistic hatred, without which Michelle Malkin would just be a big mashed-up bag of meat with lipstick on it."

When you're accusing someone of hate speech, use the best hate speech you can muster. That way your target will seem all the more... d'oh!

Irony is completely lost on the left.

From what I have read, and observed back in the days when I watched Olbermann, he is a fairly disturbed and very unattractive personality. Think about his throwing his script at the viewers every night. Or consider his incredibly grandiose self-promotion as the new Edward R. Morrow ("Good night and good luck."). Also, it is very widely reported that he is impossible to work with and especially impossible to work for. He is a little man with a very unappealing character.

It's just Alinsky Rule 12: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.

Same thing is happening to Rush regarding the fake racist quotes and his bid to buy a football team.

Same thing in re: FOX News and the White House.

Gee, it's almost as if this is coordinated or sumpin'.

Of course if anyone were to issue a death threat against Malkin, Oberman would be appalled if someone tried to blame him. I would imagine Malkin has gotten a lot of death threats. Is Olberman to blame for them?

Olberman is the Marylyn Manson of TV pundits. I dated a woman back when I was single who had once dated Marylyn Manson back before he was famous. Manson it turns out was a surpisingly normal guy in the begining. But, as his career progressed, he found that the wierderhe acted the more people came to see his shows and the better he did.

Olberman is the same way. The more bizare and hatefilled his rants are, the better he does. Had Olberman acted like anything approaching a fair and decent human being, instead of the 21st Century Father Coughlin act that he has perfected (yes, Coughlin was a far leftist who hated Roosevelt for betreying the cause), he would have been off the air years ago. The crazier he acts, the better chance he has of staying on the air. It is just Network in real life.

Yeah, I heard John Feinstein on local sports radio here in Washington DC, repeat them as fact. I wanted to rip the radio out of my car. Feinstein is a nasty blow hard leftist, so of course the quotes were gospel.

Keith Olberman, political performance art for stupid people.

Here's Malkin getting assaulted at the DNC convention last year:

Not one iota of responsibility for behavior like this on the Left. But of course Limbaugh was one of the root causes of Oklahoma City.

Why is it that so many sports media people and former sports media people, as is Olbermann, such leftists?

Olbermann is trying to be Mr. Olbermanman. It's a manman thing, evidently.

What John said--Olbermann is simply playing to the hard core lefties like monty and jeremy--Its that bunch that are the rubes, and Olbermann is simply making his paycheck by pandering to them.

This is the Mother of all Ironies. The orders have been given by our great Peace Prize Winner himself: "Whenever I am hit by a true exposure in the media, then hit back twice as hard by making up false exposure accusations". He has called for war on opposition spokespersons. Once more we see the Democrat Party now holding political power in our government being lead into a war with the American people for stupidly clinging to their religion, guns and free speech. This war is at its Marxist base to redistribute all money and power once held by US Citizens into an international Governance, and Olberman is their fascist loudspeaker like Axis Sally was for the Germans.

Maybe Olbermann's not gettin' any. Maybe Malkin's cuteness is an affront to him...because he's not gettin' any. What else could explain such fury? That's my instant analysis, free of charge.

Rialby said...

Malkin as posted a couple of "love" letters to her complete with real email addresses. They're full of the vileness you expect from the Left, bastion of intolerance. So, let's say I could track down the names of the people who sent those emails - would it be right or wrong to post their names on the internet? Would it be legal?

Can you point to any liberal on the MSM anymore that isn't frothing at the mouth in rage over something?

Actually the reason Malkin sends them into fury is 1) she an Asian therefore non-white, 2) female and3)conservative thereby completing the trifecta and thus a heretic. If this was the 1600s, Olberman would be wearing monk's garb and demanding she be burned at the stake.

MadisonMan said...

Olbermann could take lessons in writing angrily -- righteous anger -- from Camille Paglia, who has a new column up at salon.com, and it's a swell read.

kathleen said...

So he's a misogynist too? Yeah, that fits.

Gary Kirk said...

Michelle Malkin is doing something that the left can't stand. She actually is a reporter reporting.

Reading her columns or books, there's a heavy scent of journalism in the air. I mean, for God's sake, she even quotes and sources!

When I saw the video of her on "The View" promoting her book, and how she left Joy Behar and Whoopie in the dust, I had this feeling of being proud for her.

I've said this before, but she deserves a Pulitzer.

Peter V. Bella said...

Let's see. Olbermann went from being a noted baseball card collector to a less than third rate sports announcer. Then he decided that he was a hater, there was money to be made in hatred and he convinced MSNBC to allow him to spew hatred on the airwaves.

Of course, Olbermann never pays attention to what he says or how he says it. It is just pure hatred.

Now, he has the temerity to call out someone else for hate speech? It is time that NBC call animal control and put Olbermann out of our misery.

Here's an interesting observation from a reader at Newsbusters:

“This grotesque and misogynistic statement from Olbermann was almost certainly stemming from the recent tragic murder of Yale grad student Annie Le, who was a young, attractive Asian female, not disimilar from Ms. Malkin.

Le’s body was found stuffed inside of a utility nook in a basement wall of a Yale lab, allegedly by lab staff member Raymond Clark. When police discovered her remains, they were disturbed to note many of her bones were broken in order for her to be placed inside such a confined space. The coroner remarked that he had never seen anything like that before, and that her body was just like “mush” because of the amount of trauma that she had sustained posthumously.

I live and work in NYC where Olbermann does, and this story was all over our newspapers for the last few weeks. There is no doubt in my mind that this totally bizzarre and disgusting insult comes from the wishing of Malkin’s death by Olbermann combined with the horrific details of a recent murder victim of an attractive young Asian woman.”

Looks like Olbermann has fantasies of this happening to Malkin.

Peter V. Bella said...

Isn't it great. Olbermann advocates hatred and violence and he is loved, admired, and paid well. His gushy teen aged girl partner, Matthews spews inanities and is respected and paid well. Bill Moyers, who has been senile for about thirty years is respected and paid well.

Is NBC or GE running a mental health facility? Surely this is not journalism.

The fact that people, educated, intelligent people, actually watch, like, and agree this effluent makes one wonder where our educational system has gone wrong.

I'm waiting for someone on the left or the right to recognize that venom and anger, while good for ratings, shut down communication. I've never been a Malkin fan either because she always sounds pissed off. I watched "The View" interview and she does a good job but its interesting that even after she clarifies with Goldberg that she never said the "Obama administration is the most corrupt", Goldberg repeats that in a follow up question. It obscures any truth in what is being said.

At this point I've concluded that if you have "a show" (left or right) I will question your opinions because you will be most interested words that generate ratings.

It's worse. I am quite convinced that Olberman does not believe his political crap. He has found his niche an is working it. If he could have done this from the right, he would have. A whore is he.

Richard Dolan said...

I wouldn't use Olbermann to support generalizations about the 'left' or anything else. The most striking aspect of his rants is how badly they're done. It shows in his ratings, too. Even the lefties out there can't stand to tune him in.

It's politics as show business, folks, and somebody has to it.

I wonder ,for people like Olbermann and Malkin, if they judge their success by the number of fans or by the number of haters?

traditionalguy said...

Malkin is like a Tom Delay in that he strikes at the Dems most vulnerable places. Their anger is exascerbated by their enemy being a small female of Phillipino descent. A power tripping Liberal hates to be talked down to by inferiors that they are helping. Some of this same anger also affected the the Conservatives recently about a female of Hispanic descent aspiring to power.

Keep in mind that GE can run MSNBC as a loss leader for its government businesses and handouts. And, it isn't just Olbermann, or MSNBC, but the entirety of NBC.

GE has already made billions from the Obama Administration, starting with TARP funds. You thought TARP was just going to banks? Well, GE set a record getting its financial arm designated officially as a bank by the Feds just in time for this bailout - it took a week or so, instead of the usual years.

But they also stand to benefit
enormously from other programs, including the "Stimulus" program, Cap and Trade, and Health Care Reform. They have a policy of exiting any market in which they are not within the top 3, and are often #1 in their relevant market, and these include here: wind generation; solar power; nuclear power; and health record automation.

Bruce Hayden said...

Oh, and I forgot to mention that Obama and his cohorts are much closer to the Fascists than is Malkin. Fascism (and Naziism, which is based on Fascism) is a form of socialism, and the totalitarianism that is associated with it is a direct result of trying to impose Utopian socialism on imperfect mankind. Man is imperfect, selfish, self-centered, etc., and until he has been forced to become perfect, part of the state's function is to force him to become unselfish, community-centric, etc.

Oh, and government redistribution of wealth often needs to be done at gunpoint. All those self-centered, selfish, individuals naturally don't appreciate their hard earned wealth being given to those who don't work as hard, to buy their votes.

I agree there is a whole helluva lot of screeching going on, td. Not sure though that I am in a position to impute anyone's motive to anything other than philosophical disagreement.

Osumashi Kinyobe said...

The amount of racism and misogyny directed toward Mrs. Malkin is telling of those who call themselves "progressive". It's not enough to disagree with her and not even know why. One must drag utterly boorish sentiments into it.
It's the twenty-first century, in case they had forgotten.

Leftists and leftism have/has no basis in reality therefore any level of irrationality can be passed off as that of being rational. That being said, Olberdouche is one of those human beings that you just want to punch in the face so hard that even their own mothers feel it so they can say, "Oh, feels like you opened your mouth again."
