And so many people mocked Bush's way of talking. Sheesh.
(the other kev)Quick! Someone mock one of Palin's Twitter posts!
So, he meant "pissy"?The less common, g-rated, juvenilized, version stands out a lot more and is really a lot sillier. But, it is kinda cute and precious.
"The Audacity of Wee-Wee."
It's either Hope and Wee-Wee'd or Wee-wee's and change. Which is it?wv = distort = Sometimes I just want the WV lottery.
Hope and change and wee wee.
Suffering Succotash! the DEA thought he meant pot!wv - gluri: not much of that lately.
For the guy who has the massive power of the president, both houses of congress in his hip pocket and most journalists willing to shill for him he is certainly coming off as quite the whiner as he complains about old people at town halls, Rush Limbaugh's radio show and Sarah Palin's Facebook page.WV: hancl -- and gretel
Methadras is reading my mind again, where did I put my tin foil hat?WV: gorki
Reminds me of Jimmy Stewart:Well, uh well, uh . . . well
Tosaguy...IMO Obama is calling out the DailyKos type progressives as "bedwetters". He understands that hicks without a Harvard point of view cannot understand progressive socialism and he is not calling them names. But he expected that his progressive supporters would follow his lead in using a Smiling Nice Guy act to swindle the hicks. Obama is really angry with this panic among his own coalition guys.
Anyone who gets wee-weed up should be ignored, because they're all just caca-heads and snot faces. wv: joreacteNot yet, but when he does I'm sure he'll say something totally not wee-weed up. He's a neat guy, after all.
TradGuy,He does seem to be doing a fine job of weeweeing everyone off.
Guess Obama wasn't referring to the combination of Joe Biden, beer summit, and Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia.Glad that was "cleared" up.
Couldn't he have also meant we're all acting like the toe that went wee-wee-wee all the way home?
I'm waiting for Joe Biden to give his explanation of wee-weed. By the way, where has Joe been?
Obama is a twit--every knows the basic role of men is to convert beer to urine
No more Dr Peppers for you, Forrest.
It's becoming apparent that Obama is unable to communicate to the average America why they should support his health care program. This is why Obama is failing. Obama won the election on a strange faith that people put in him based on his presentation skills. However, his presentation skills have failed, and he has squandered this faith. Now, more and more peole don't trust him anymore, yet he keeps repeating the same untruths - such as "you can keep your healthcare."People used to say Bush was a very divisive president. However, I don't recall Bush lashing out at the Ameircan people - calling this group stupid, or that group conspirators. I don't recall Bush accusing the democrats of conspiring to destroy him, etc...I don't recall Bush using the Presidency to attack specific individuals. Most of the divisiveness out of Bush was self created by Democrats.Obama is totally different. Obama has no problem lashing out and acting like a child. The ultimate downfall of a leader is evident when the Leader resorts to blaming the people for his own failures. Obama is now only touching on the surfacce, but I think the eventual gaffe will come when he outright blames the people generally for failing to pass his health care bill.
Ugh, I saw the video of this last night. He had the same cocky, cloying mannerisms that he had when he gave that speech about "I don't want the folks who created the mess to do a lot of talking!"He just transforms when he is before an infatuated, cheering audience. It's all arrogance and self-delight. Quite a nice contrast to his icky petulant demeanor when things aren't going his way. Two sides of the same UnPresidential coin.
He was just distracted because he had to go potty. Maybe he can take a tour of America on a choo-choo to sell the health care plan. Then he can go home and play with his doggy.
It's an interesting term. He's trying to argue that anyone who proposes his plan is infantile. The people should listen to NANNY, and do whatever they're told, taking on blind faith that whatever NANNY does is right.
By the way, where has Joe been?Has Joe even been seen since the kegger on the White House lawn for officer Crowley?
What other instances are there of Presidents talking in baby talk? That's funny. There should be a collection
In the meantime Hillary is massaging her broken elbow and ego in her corner cubicle at Foggy Bottom still wondering how she lost to this buffoon.
You what this incompetent needs to understand that everyone in Washington includes his own party, you know Mr. President, the one that controls the House by 50 some votes and has a filibuster proof majority in the Senate. Maybe President Shortpants should exercise some of that vaunted leadership I keep hearing about and get his peoples in line. Then again maybe Senator Conrad can esplain why this bill won't pass the Senate? If there is that much disparity within the Democratic party with this piece of shit legislation, perhaps they need an identity check. That being, start seperating the Democrats from the Socialists.
I have no idea what he meant, and neither does Althouse. Substituting pee pee for wee wee makes no sense.
Wow. Two hours ago there's a post complaining that Obama is bland. Now he uses a colorful expression and it's "weird."Wild contradiction. You know what? On the subject of Obama, this blog sucks.
Brings new meaning to Whitehouse leaks.Betcha a buck that Michelle makes the Prez sit.
Substituting pee pee for wee wee makes no sense. You're absolutely right Alpha. No one in this country has ever confused the term pee pee with wee wee. No one.
You know what? On the subject of Obama, this blog sucks. That's because his policies blow.
" You know what? On the subject of Obama, this blog sucks. That's because his policies blow."and the Montaignes swallow.
@Hoosier, you've nailed it. What I've been thinking is that, on paper, Obama has the votes to pass the legislation despite the Republicans and even the Independents (as if Liebermann and Sanders are anything but Democrats). So pass it, if it's so good for the American people.Politics is about negotiation and compromise, and it seems apparent that no one in the Democrat leadership understands how to do that -- not Nancy Pelosi, not Harry Reid, not Rahm Emanual, and certainly not Barack Obama. They don't know how to negotiate, they can't compromise (lest Paul Krugman, Markos Moulitsas, and Michael Moore say nasty, pissy (oops -- wee-wee-y) things about them, and they certainly cannot lead. What's left?
Alpha,The One meant that people are pissed off, and telling one another to piss up a rope. He longs for the good old days when his sycophants pissed on one anothers' legs. Now it's a regular shit storm. He's eating a shit sandwich. The shit has hit the fan. In other words, his policies are mired in deep doo doo. He's had a poopy month.
Husband to our pug, prancing by the door, a few minutes ago: "Y'all wee wee-ed up? Need to go outside?"God, I hope this isn't a trend. It's the first time in 17 years I've heard my husband use baby talk. And God willing, it will be the last.Better he start wearing shorts in winter.vh: depreon
So now they're insulting bedwetters too? Nice going, Gibbsy.I see Obama was holding up one finger, so I will agree that he was referring to urinating.
THIS idiot is the President? No wonder we're the laughingstock of the world. No country respects us anymore. Thanks Obama.
This man must be the least presidential President this country has ever seen. WV: inglyes -- what we wish our president would speak, rather than using kindergarten bathroom talk.
What the President meant was that everybody's ... peeing. Are we sure that's what he meant? It may be best to wait for the White House to issue a clarification. Whatever they deny he was saying, that's probably what he was saying.
No "Obama is like Bush" tag?
tim maguire said... "Are we sure that's what he meant?" "It's a phrase I use,'' White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs said today, hesitating at his press briefing to offer a physical demonstration of the phraseology."Let's do this in a way that's family friendly,'' Gibbs said. "I think 'wee-weed up' is when people get all nervous for no particular reason...."Bedwetting would probably be the more consumer-friendly term for it,'' the press secretary said. That must clear everything up, right?
Just like Obama to convene a "beer summit" and not know enough about the details ;)wv = torbay = the sea of lawsuits.
Maybe he meant pissing match.
Truth be told I don't find it all that shocking that he would use the same language as a pre-schooler.Don't forget that the man's campaign slogan was stolen from a television show which appeals to that same group.
There’s also the term "cowboy-up". Thats what he meant - war mode.Another swipe at Bush.
It's good to know that Wee Wee Herman is now our President.
Notice that in his enumeration of all the misconceptions (as he sees them) that wee wee'd up people have about his ever morphing health plan or health reform Obama doesn't deny that the objections/misconceptions exist, he just mocks them. Never does he deign to answer them. Just enumerates and mocks to the sound of his sycophants laughter. Reminds me of Hitler reading the list of threatened nations listed in The Times of London at the time of Munich to his sycophants in the Reichstag: Czechoslovakia (har har); Poland (har har har); Hungary (har har har har); Romania (har har har har har), and so on. And no, the comparison is not out of line, it is apt.
"Hoosier: He was just distracted because he had to go potty. Maybe he can take a tour of America on a choo-choo to sell the health care plan. Then he can go home and play with his doggy."that is hilarious but the shocker is that the man who is the leader of the free world has such a simple mind and a simpler vocabulary. What an IDIOT
ricpicCan you please make a sound argument without comparing the president to Hitler? Please. And, no, it is not apt unless you are a lunatic. It is never apt to invoke the name Hitler when talking about any US president. Just because you hate Obama does not automatically make him the equivalent of one of the worst dictators in the history of the world. Get some perspective. Then make your argument.
You are correct - Obama is more like one of the best dictators in history. Totally the best. The man is a mental midget. Wee-weed? What the fuck? He's in town, urine town.
NKVDAgain no perspective. You are acting as though this is the only thing he ever said. Why not try listening to him every once in a while. He's a lot more articulate than George W. But your hatred clouds your judgement. And, ummm, it is tough to take anyone seriously when they actually think a US president is a dictator. I disliked Bush but would never claim he was a dictator. He didn't have much power actually. Most presidents don't.But, I don't know, maybe you are 15years old and don't have any perspective on history or where presidents fit into our governmental structure?
Wow! What a complete dufus.
Get a grip - Obama is God. To deny that is to eschew all of his God-like plans for us.He is also an imbecile who talks baby talk to our country. He may be a complete and utter moron. A moronic God who will lower the seas and heal the nation by using baby talk. WV - putrutt - what Tiger was in this past weekend.
NKVDDo the grown-ups in your house know you are on the internet right now?
Ooo, look at the hipster Matt, walking down the street in SF. Way cool, Matt. Way hip. Way left. Who gives a flying fuck?
He might have meant something about leaks in Washington?
Kirby OlsonleaksNow that's funny.

elHombre:Racist! And it's not nice to make fun of the mentally challenged.
"And this little piggy cried wee wee wee all the way home."It wasn't a toe, John Stodder. It was a little piggy. And I suppose we are all the little piggies who "went to market", have too much and are still crying about it.
Mike Godwin would be proud of me:And, no, it is not apt unless you are a lunatic. It is never apt to invoke the name Hitler when talking about any US president. Just because you hate Obama does not automatically make him the equivalent of one of the worst dictators in the history of the world. Get some perspective. Then make your argument.I did write a comment a day or two back pointing out that a close analogy to President Obama's economic policies could be found in Fascist Italy and Nazi Germany. The same sort of socialist state/private partnerships, etc., and, unfortunately, the same sort of blaming everything on some evil third party. In Hitler's case, of course, it was the evil Jews. And in Obama's, it is the evil gun toting Republican Christianists. Of course, a lot of movements and political organizations do just the same sort of demonizing. I am reminded of the North Koreans most recently, but also the Iranians, Chinese, Palestinians, etc. But I don't that excuses it.I hope that things settle down, and that the Administration quits trying to blame American citizens for protesting President Obama's policies, and, instead looks to why so many people are so scared about his proposed health care solutions. It isn't because Republicans, or people with guns, or people who go to White churches, or even people who live in the South are evil. They aren't. Rather, they are scared because they have reason to believe, esp. if they are old, that they will bear the brunt of the health care "reform".
"Maybe President Shortpants should exercise some of that vaunted leadership I keep hearing about and get his peoples in line."Two weeks ago I was watching some news channel show a thirty second sound byte from Dan Quayle, of all people. He said, and I loosely quote, "Obama's biggest problem through his presidency will be getting his own in line."
Why are people in a twitter? President Obama is the first american idol president. What do you expect? Image trumps experience in the day. To quote The DBQ; "you are so screwed". I second the motion.
People used to say Bush was a very divisive president. However, I don't recall Bush lashing out at the Ameircan people - calling this group stupid, or that group conspirators. I don't recall Bush accusing the democrats of conspiring to destroy him, etc...Just like it became apparent that his father had a lot of class, after the Clintons had spent some time in the White House, I think that a lot of people are going to look back at the younger Bush and realize that he really was much better than his critics portrayed him as, and had much more class than his successor, Mr. Obama. Maybe there were times when Bush (43) lashed out at his opponents, but I sure don't remember them. If they happened, they were few and far between. I sure don't remember him going on national TV and blaming all his problems on those low life Democrats and their netroots crazy supporters. No matter how bad it got. That just wasn't Presidential. My view right now is that President Obama is trying very hard to beat Mr. Carter as the worst President in the last 50 years. We shall see.
control the bladder control the blathergive the guy some credat least he's takin it to the peoplehe seems to remember that by the people for the people actually means somethinghe's willing to hear it all outi don't recall much about the bush administration other than i was politically miserable the whole time...didn't he have a few difficulties with vocabulary and articulating very basic ideas??rather than defining a political agenda on one catastrophe and resting one's laurels on the mismanagement of just about everything this president is disturbing everyone by being presidential...facing the issues engaging the public finding ways to make a ruttridden govt work again...bloggers get all wee wee'd about this shitj
JH, you said "being presidential?" Surely, you jest. This guy is an uncouth liar. Presidential, my foot.
Hope and Change the sheets
Looking at what I had posted about Gibb's explanation for wee-weed, I noticed this: "It's a phrase I use,'' White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs said today,"I think 'wee-weed up' is when...[bold added]So, he uses the phrase, but then admits that he thinks it means, whatever, he's not sure. How many people use phrases and don't know what the phrase means?Gibbs has the hardest job in this administration. Every time he is sent out to do his job, he looks like a fool.
Armstrong adn Getty guess that wee-wee'd up is a Muslim or Kenyan phrase.
Who was the guy that dubbed August in DC the 'silly season'? Safire? George Will? The context of "wee wee" sure sounds more like a reference to silliness than anger.More likely it's stoner slang for how someone acts under the influence but there's no way Gibbs is going to admit Obama might be familar with that.
President Obama said...My administration is aboutHope and Changeand Urine-vited to help make this possible.
Cracking up at HD and elHombre's comments.Rational adults "cowboy up". And kick ass at townhalls and demonstrations and now, quite ingeniously, on facebook.I think Obama might be the "wee-weed" One.
