The New York view.

Just now.

ADDED: I took nearly the same picture in mid-August.

That is understandable - I don't think these buildings get around much.

Face the morning, take its light,
Address sun smartly, towers;
Shoulders squared, great of height:
Testament to our powers.

I went to Flicker and looked at the large version of this picture. I especially like the little buildings on the waterfront in front of the massive buildings that absolutely dwarf them. I would love to see that shot from around 1850.

Thank god that horrid Verizon building isn't in the shot. Whenever I see that I am amazed that they were allowed to plaster thier logo on the side of the building. It's like, "Welcome to Manhattan, Sponsored by Verizon!"

Ann, the lavender sky is amazing. It is even better than the first one. Did you mess with the intensity or did the camera capture the sky that way?

Btw, got Leopard loaded myself and am blogging for the first time in Safari!

I didn't change the hue or anything about the color. I might have raised the contrast a little.
