It has been an amazing service. A great tribute to Charlie Kirk. The left has no idea what they have done.
There will be a narrative from the left coming out of this that Kirk wanted dialogue and that Trump supporters should commit to being peaceful and accepting leftist hate and violence because that is what Charlie would have wanted.

Kirk had a significant impact on young people. He engaged in person without preaching, and allowed the left to expose their worst dogma and then calmly refuted it. Those under thirty had never seen that, and probably thought it couldn’t be done.
They had an attachment and affinity for him. Seeing him murdered in cold blood and then watching swaths of the left celebrate his death is not something they’ll soon, if ever, forget.
I bet there are no abortion vans outside the Arizona arena.

What specifically is unhinged about it? Stylistically, it is a bit of a rant. But hey, the guy is mourning his friend. Probably a choice of shout or weep. Is that the unhinged part?

That is the real transformative experience for young folks. I'm not talking about any notable figures on the left, but just ordinary leftists on social media being absolutely gleeful, mocking, and celebratory about a horrible murder of a man in front of his wife and kids. One of the bigger emotional reasons folks are on the left is to indulge a moral inferiority complex. By assuming the absolute worst about the right regarding their motivations and the outcomes of their policies it lets many on the left feel like they are the good guys simply by being on the left. For many, this emotion is going to be impossible for them to hold after seeing how far too many on the Left reacted to this heinous murder. Many are going to be forever alienated and disillusioned from the Left.
You know who's really big on the afterlife? Islam. Their disqualifying error is in the name of the afterlife, they use all modern civic and political and technological resources to destroy the Western civil and political system. Which, even in its failures, claims to aspire to modern democracy and rights, stuff in this world, not the next. Islam goes only for the next world.

Neither my family or I have ever been religious, and I'm not proud of that. Despite my stubborn agnosticism, I've always had a fond place in my heart for most religious people, especially Christians and Jews. Charley's sacrifice has affected me deeply. I've lost much of my anger toward the people who hate me and my political friends, and our leaders. I know he would never let hate like that into his heart, and he would forgive and pray for people who hate us. He would tell me to let it go, and he would tell me to love them and try to help them, and to hang on to them. I have friends who are probably celebrating Kirk's death, although I will avoid finding out if possible. I imagined telling them we can no longer be friends if they showed that to me. I no longer want to do that, and Charley is the reason. What a gift from a compete stranger. His impact is far from small or temporary.
