I don't think it's ego so much as this is how he's effective in getting things done. He's brash, he's unpredictable, he takes a policy and, through constant repetition and reducing it to a slogan, makes it a part of the Trump brand; he personalizes the debate over those policies -- and he just always keeps at it. But I don't think he does these things for the immediate purpose of feeding his ego. He does them because they work in getting results. And then the RESULTS feed his ego.
Kakistocracy needs to understand how the OODA loop works. Trump is presenting so many new things so fast that the media and the opposition cannot respond or focus on any one, really. It's a simple calculation. I've read that Biden only had nine press conferences in four years. A 5,000% increase is 51 times that, and there are 52 weeks in a year, so nine in four weeks would be a little more than a 5,000% increase over nine in four years. Nine in two weeks would be a 10,000%+ increase, and I'm pretty sure he's going to go over that in his first two weeks, though we're still less than six days in.
I'm also pretty sure that Trump's press conferences will average out to being much longer, much more focused on their topics, and much more informative, not to mention inspiring, than Biden's were, so the increase in overall quantity and quality is likely to be closer to 15,000% or even 20,000%. We shall see.

I did enjoy watching Trump interact with the round table of politicos and fire officials in the Palisades last night. It's refreshing to have a President who can interact with the press without having to use a teleprompter. This has been a whirlwind week. Israel's "expansionist" drive has only been about self-defense, and the result of wars started by the Arabs. They accepted the 1947 UN partition plan. The Arabs attacked, resulting in the 1949 Armistice lines. The Arabs started a war again in 1967, and lost, giving Israel the Sinai, the Golan, and West Bank. They gave the Sinai back to Egypt in exchange for a peace agreement. As Peachy notes above, they've made offers of more land for peace that were rejected by the Palestinians. They annexed the Golan Heights because northern Israel would otherwise be indefensible.

It's a hunting allusion. When out hunting without dogs an you come upon a rabbit it will run in the direction it's facing , but within haundred feet it will break either right or left. Hunters, in anticipation have a fifty/fifty chance of getting the rabbit.
