Said President Biden, quoted in
"Biden, world leaders and veterans mark D-Day’s 80th anniversary in France/While the U.S. president’s speech was directed at a global audience, it comes against the backdrop of a fierce domestic political battle with his predecessor, Donald Trump" (WaP0).
Biden did not name Trump during his remarks, but he offered an unequivocal endorsement of the global order that the Republican front-runner has trashed, asserting that NATO and other alliances “make us strong.”... “Make no mistake, the autocrats of the world are watching closely to see what happens in Ukraine; to see if we let this illegal aggression go unchecked,” he said. “We cannot let that happen. To surrender to bullies, to bow down to dictators, is simply unthinkable.”...
Biden has pointed to his administration’s record of building alliances amid the war in Ukraine as a top selling point for his reelection as he seeks to draw a sharp contrast with Trump. In an interview with Time magazine, Biden said Trump “wanted to just abandon” U.S. alliances, and suggested that the former president would ultimately pull the country out of NATO if he returns to the White House....

How many deferment did Biden get to stay out of the neocon war in Viet Nam?
The problem is Islam.
It’s taking over Western Europe.
NATO was an alliance to stop Russia/Communism from taking over Western Europe.
The NATO countries invited Muslims into their countries. Islam will destroy Western Europe.
Biden just crapped his pants during the commemoration.
"During a solemn ceremony commemorating the 80th anniversary of D-Day in Normandy, France Thursday, President Joe Biden appeared to nearly collapse into a non-existent chair."
He was rushed away and left Macron alone with the Veterans.
The autocrats of the world are watching him get away with political prosecutions. That's the sort of thing those soldiers he's honoring were fighting against.
The conflict in Ukraine is nowhere near analogous to the dynamics of WWII and the evil of the Axis powers, which lead to the necessity of D-Day.
As is typical of Biden, he just diminished and pissed on everything the Allied solders fought and died for that day.
Biden is either the dumbest or most evil President in our history.
It's an interesting comparison really, though not in the way Biden might like. Yes, WW2 was about alliances, but it was also, significantly so, about picking our battles. We notably did not fight the USSR in its claim for territory and control, even though we were likely best positioned to do so and had justification for doing so that likely would have saved decades of trauma. But the cost would have been many more deaths and devastation. So we had a Cold War instead, because we stuck with the letter of our alliances.
Lots of good arguments why we should not just allow Russia to take over Ukraine, but it seems that being faithful to official alliances is not one of them, and that Trump was much better about providing diplomatic restraint against those who would initiate death and devastation.
Biden makes space for wars, if not actually encouraging or inciting them, in which he can then pose with compassion and supposed diplomacy. Trump forestalled such wars, but can't then show the after the fact compassion about the devastation.
One of my frustrations about Progressives and such is they seem to encourage devastation and dehumanization so they can then express compassion and outrage (and control) in then addressing what their policies incited. Then they judge others on how they too express aligned compassion and outrage about the victims, rather than understanding a good many people would prefer there not be victims to begin with and that there are policies and approaches that can do that.
Remember when Brandon was supposed to restore respect for the USA abroad? Good times.

”Hey there young man! I know how much you're inspired by Uncle Joe's leadership! Would you like to sign up to kill foreigners to entertain the rich and maybe die for the Big Guy's 10% while bureaucrats internally destroy your rights and replace you with immigrants?
Anywho, let’s get you enlisted! Sign here.”
Ukraine needs soldiers- anyone who really believes in this battle need only sign up and join the front lines- front lines I will note that Ukrainian men themselves have to kidnapped off the street to join.
Biden was in diapers on D-Day. And on the 80th Anniversary of D-Day.
There were virtually no women at Normandy on D-Day and there were precious few Blacks. But Biden gratuitously reminded us in his speech there today that, apparently, Blacks and women carried the day.
Currently reading David Mets' biography of General Carl "Tooey" Spaatz. Spaatz was more or less in charge of US air forces in Europe throughout the war.
Last night I was reading the chapter covering the Army Air Force's role in the D-D landing and the following months. I knew a fair amount of it already but not really from the Air Force perspective. Lots more detail on what happened. Especially interesting was discussion of what to bomb. Oil fields and plane factories in Germany were the AF choice as having the most impact on the battle. Army wanted more local, tactical, bombing of rail yards, bridges etc. Argument against that was that they was so much excess capacity that they would not destroy enough to make a difference.
Fascinating book, very well written. Especially interesting because it covered a lot of new, to me, ground.
$4.99, via the portal.
And on this day let us remember that twice as many air force crew died over Europe (@50,000) as marines in the Pacific (@25,000) Let's remember all of them.
Getting way off topic, the reason I am reading the Spaatz bio is because a couple weeks ago I watched "12 O'Clock High" again. Great movie, made only a couple years after the end of the bombing and starring Gregory Peck. Available on YouTube (free) or Amazon (rental)

so its the citcle of life, in the end who really won the wars, that would be germany, specially this sovietizes version,
Biden’s record of building alliances? Really? What’s the count now of embassies abandoned during this administration? Last count I recall it was 5. 5 countries we no longer have safe diplomatic relations. FJB.
Heartfelt, I’m sure.
Flippin’ grifter…
"Ukraine needs soldiers- anyone who really believes in this battle need only sign up and join the front lines- front lines I will note that Ukrainian men themselves have to kidnapped off the street to join."
Putin just said in Petersburg that "Ukraine is losing 50,000 men a month". That number is ridiculously high and certainly not true. But even if it was a 5th of that, Ukraine can't replace those losses, and that's what really matters. Weapon donations are worthless if you don't have the bodies to operate them.
Biden's Slavic Spring with benefits in Obama's World War [ethnic] Spring series deserves the Noble Pieces Prize.
Let us remember all these men, their bravery and the absolute Hell they faced especially on Omaha Beach but the others as well.
To the Europeans, you are welcome.
Twice is enough. Don't ask us to bail you out again. They already are, with NATO, Ukraine. But we need to resist. Not our dog, not our fight.
It was not our dog nor our fight in 1915 or 1939 either. But 2 presidents lied us into war. Lied themselves into the presidency promising no European involvement. And yet, there we were.
And here we are.
Hundreds of thousands of Americans maimed and killed for Europe. Some volunteers but mostly (60-70%) draftees. Not their dog, not their fight. But they went and did, again, the job the Europeans would not or could not do for themselves.
I salute you all.
Never again. Trump 24

That's the question, alright.
What a cocksucker, using this speech to push his political bullshit.
Power, always power.
The left has no shame...
Can't help but notice that Biden's "'Our' hour of trial" is entirely shouldered by young Ukrainian men, and not even a little bit by Biden or those around him.
We should remember, that Biden only "built alliances" after Zelensky refused Biden's plan to collapse Ukraine in the face of the Russian "illegal" invasion
The AP story on Feb. 25 [2022] made a key point — that Zelensky uttered this remark as he rejected a U.S. offer of an immediate evacuation.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky was asked to evacuate Kyiv at the behest of the U.S. government but turned down the offer. Zelensky said in response: “The fight is here; I need ammunition, not a ride,” according to a senior American intelligence official with direct knowledge of the conversation, who described Zelensky as upbeat.
Ukraine is a thing because Ukrainians didn't give in as Biden and the NATO countries tried to force when Putin invaded.

Some of my Biden voting family members were watching him on CNN. I made a remark about how terrible it was that all those women died taking out those machine gun nests and gun emplacements. Needless to say, it did not go over well.
I about hurled when the News Barbies and Kens started going on in total earnestness about how the British were the real heroes of D-Day and we couldn't have done it without them saving our bacon. I had to leave the room at that point.
I'm sure Slo Joe is thrilled to meet these D-Day veterans and hear them call him a "kid"
Now talk about the Afghanistan withdrawal and it's tragic effect on our 'allies'.
Maybe NATO should stick more to the North Atlantic. The US is not part of the Black Sea Treaty Organization. Isreal isn't part of NATO and they do alright by us.
"I'm sure Slo Joe is thrilled to meet these D-Day veterans and hear them call him a "kid"
He couldn't even do that. He almost fell into a non-existent chair and Jill shuffled him away.
America is a dead, lying, dementia-ridden man walking. Away. Literally.
Biden said Trump “wanted to just abandon” U.S. alliances, and suggested that the former president would ultimately pull the country out of NATO if he returns to the White House....
Trump said put up or shut up, and the NATO counties came up with more cash to fund an actual defense force.
He simply pointed out you shouldn't be able to freely-ride on American security.
His exit was less than dignified. His family and handlers should be ashamed of themselves for abusing this old man. It's like Weekend at Bernies except he ain't quite dead yet. Yet. He might make it to the convention in August but it's looking shaky.
That "toddler pose" is just horrible though, a widely viewed image that won't go away. He did the same thing next to Marine One the other day, again with Jill looking on. We don't want to see the US president crapping himself in front of the world, you monsters!
25th Amendment Now!
A Trump victory would be the best thing for Ukraine, as Trump is unlikely to slow-walk desperately needed weapons, equipment and ammunition. The Biden admin has been half-assing their support since day one. A Trump admin would also take an aggressive position to bring down oil prices, killing Russia's ability to finance this war.
“Make no mistake, the autocrats of the world are watching closely to see what happens in Ukraine; to see if we let this illegal aggression go unchecked,” he said. “We cannot let that happen. To surrender to bullies, to bow down to dictators, is simply unthinkable.”...
As I recall, WWII was begun to prevent Poland and Czechoslovakia being taken over by a ruthless dictator. Hmm…
Nothing is below Democrats. Using this occasion as a political event is disgusting.
Kevin is right.
In addition, Biden practically invited Putin to invade Ukraine with his “I think what you’re going to see is that Russia will be held accountable if it invades. And it depends on what it does. It’s one thing if it is a minor incursion and we {NATO] end up having to fight about what to do and not to do.”
This is one of the many reasons that the guy is not qualified to be dog catcher. Whatever you think of Trump, Putin was not invading countries when Trump was president. For one, he didn’t have the hard currency that he has now given FJB’s energy policies.
Before this goes too far -- there was a chair immediately behind him.
Geoffrey Perret's books about the US Army and Air Forces in WWII--"There's A War To Be Won" and "Winged Victory" respectively--are solid and readable histories.
His earlier book about the Homefront, "Days of Sadness, Years of Triumph" is also good, but shows its origin as a doctoral dissertation.
Nothing Biden says surprises me anymore. I can't even say that he's lying as he may not know the difference between reality and fantasy.
Apparently, Biden decided to "go grunty" (as my kids used to call it) right up there on the podium next to Macron and the odious Jill:
https://tinyurl.com/2b57ajzk
AceofSpadesHq refers to it as "A Moving Tribute"
Oh and btw: I'm sure all those guys in the landing ships being savaged by mortars and machine guns at Omaha Beach were bleating out how their rights to "control their own bodies" were being violated---as well as their reproductive rights not have their nuts shot off.
LOL!
Of the 32 amphibious Sherman tanks that were lauched toward shore on D Day, five made it to the beach.
And many will believe his lies!
The Nato members are deadbeats. Trump doesn’t like that. The people running the cadaver know money is free so make it rain…
Biden just crapped his pants during the commemoration.
He did his dootie…
Fuck Joe Biden.
Russia invading Ukraine is NOT the same as Hitler taking over all of Europe.
What is the US national interest in going to war with Russia? None.
The only US interest is that the military-industrial complex wants more profits.
Just strike a peace deal and let Russia keep most of the land it now controls. No one in the US cares about the borders of Ukraine and Russia. Biden doesn't care about our borders.

The Ukraine war happened because Zelensky reneged on his promise to sign the Mingsk Accords at the behest of Boris Johnson.
After Zelensky got elected promising to sign those accords he pulled out as President.
Then he started arresting reporters and political opponents.
And he has suspended elections.
We should not be supporting that much less making it happen.
God, I am so TIRED of these D-day celebrations. The one in 1984 was good with Reagan thanking the Vets for storming Omaha Beach. But here it is, 40 years later, and we're STILL doing it.
If you were 18 in 1944, you'd be 98 now. Give it a rest. Its as if Presidents were annually celebrating the AEF and the Meuse-Argonne in 1998.
And what did these boys who stormed the beaches accomplish? According to Netenyahu the Jews beat Hitler by themselves. They didn't need no GIs. And in any case, WW II just lead to a Cold war that lasted 40 years.
And was D-day neccesssary? Churchill didn't think so. The Red Army had Das Heer on the run and was about to launch a massive June 22 offensive that would take them to the gates of Warsaw and knock Romania out of the war. Meanwhile, the RAF and 8th AF were bombing the hell out of Germany.

Not our dog, not our fight.
But when we went, we did what we needed to do and finished the job. They were probably draftees and didn't want to be there. Imagine the tank drivers on the landing craft. You are 3rd in line, you have just seen #1 and #2 go off the ramp and straight down. Yet when it came your turn, you put it in gear and moved out.
Think of the size of the titanium balls on that tank driver.
You're welcome, Europe. Now fuck off.

Did Biden happen to mention the effect of his "minor incursion" statement upon the Ukrainian-Russia war?
I'm sure that those brave men who stormed Omaha beach are just glad that we're all not speaking German. Dementia Hitler is in charge, the dollar's value is assaulted daily, every man, woman, and child in the USA owes $102,000, our politics is more divisive than at any time since the Civil War, and large portions of the population don't know what gender they are. But German? Wir Sprechen Nicht!

@ RC Ocean Sorry you have problem with remembering people who made tremendous sacrifices or just demonstrated courage for their country. I suppose you want to cancel Memorial day as well. I mean, its origins date back to the Civil War. How archaic is that?
For those of us who served in one combat zone or another, days of remembrance such as D Day serve as reminders of those we knew who did not make it. We think of them more often than once a year, but it is nice to have a day when we know that others are reliving similar memories. I can not imagine the courage it took to be the first man off the first landing craft in the first wave at Omaha Beach. I believe it will always be important to honor that man's memory.
Video edited to make it appear Biden tried to sit down when there wasn’t a chair
In the meantime Trump makes videos of himself foaming at the mouth.
This is how Bidens administration treats VETERANS who fought for this country. They make them political prisoners. This was a travesty, and this is why people want revenge. Because it is OBVIOUS there is no equal justice in this country anymore.
“Retired USAF Lt. Col. Larry Brock graduated from the Air Force Academy and went on to pilot the A-10 for more than 20 years in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Syria. The AP no less lol. Word is the video of Jill escorting Biden away and him almost falling down during a troop review was also edited. If grasping at straws was a sport, you'd be first pick.
I am fascinated by WW2 and have read/listened to many books on the subject, with at least ten dealing with D-Day. And Mr. RCOcean can go ....I'm tired of hearing about the non-existent women and truly small minorities of minorities that supposedly were involved in D-Day, delivered in speeches by warmongers that didn't serve. I seem to remember that the Dems called Republicans who fit that category, "chicken hawks".
Unfortunately, Republicans in Congress paused for six months on aid to Ukraine, turning their back on courageous Ukrainians, defending democracy, and the legacy of D-Day.
That has cost the Ukrainians the initiative and allowed Russia to fortify, gain the initiative, and make gains.
Hopefully now that aid is once again flowing to Ukrainian forces, they will be able to regroup and regain the initiative and regain all of their land that has been occupied illegally by a tyrant in Putin bent on conquest.
Apparently artificial intelligence has been used to edit video of poopy joe `in order to pretend there are participants sitting behind him.
sad!
I thought that Biden was a Democrat, but apparently he's a Free Soil candidate now.
Funny how the Europeans are now ponying up for their own defense, because they are afraid of what Trump might do. What a bad man Trump is, getting the Europeans to pay their own way!

AKA the "Only the tip" policy.
Oh yes, the precious memory of the men who gave their lives on D-Day means that we should send our sons to fight every wild hare war the neocons cook up! Including fighting over who gets to rule over. some ethnic Russians who have been fighting against being ruled out of Kiev for ten years, and who live thousands of miles from us, but right within the traditional borders of Russia, which then fell into the hands of the Ukrainians by happenstance at the fall of the USSR! Ukraine means "the borderlands" (there is no definite article in Ukrainian) and there are bound to be disagreements from time to time given the history of the area, we can't get into WWIII just because some Ukrainians want to ethnically cleanse former Russian territory and turn it into an ethnically pure Ukraine and get revenge for the Soviet Union, I guess. Is "revenge" for others a good reason for an American to die?
Remember the "rules based order" Ukraine's 1992 border, well, they didn't annex Crimea until 1995, is sacrosanct, Serbia's borders are not. So Kosovo is allowed to declare independence, but Crimea is not allowed to secede, nor is Donbas. Syria's borders? Not sacrosanct! But remember, Ukraine's 1992... err I mean 1995 borders are! It's the RULES BASED ORDER!"

Had el alemein failed the palmach would have had to hold off the afrikacorps
'Did Biden happen to mention the effect of his "minor incursion" statement upon the Ukrainian-Russia war?'
Is that like being slightly pregnant?
Besides, I have been reliably informed many times that Joe possesses the greatest foreign policy mind of our age.
Putin told reporters yesterday that he got a letter from Joe. It sounds like he filed it in the circular receptacle. You can only lie so many times and expect people to take you seriously.
If you're going to make a speech honoring D-Day, especially one that commemorates the 80th anniversary, please go watch "The Boys of Pointe du Hoc" and try to understand why it's magnificent.
Also, most of these boys are dead. We can remember the still living ones for a few more years until they're all gone, at least. God.
to see if we let this illegal aggression go unchecked
So we've gone from an approved 'minor incursion' to an illegal aggression?
It's hard to keep up anymore.

No, Russia illegally invaded Ukraine, just like Nazi Germany illegally invaded Czechoslovakia, Poland, Russia, the Benelux, France... and other countries as well in World War II. And for the same reason -- conquest. Indeed, Russian forces have also committed the same atrocities as Nazi forces as well, including many war crimes and crimes against humanity. The EU and NATO are not the invaders.

He doesnt know where hes going where hes been he never had a clue presenting him is just another humiliation on this solemn day
"No, Russia illegally invaded Ukraine"
How was it different than what we did in Syria? That created a massive refugee crisis, and we started it. Why? Why did we bomb Yugoslavia for endless weeks? Why did we bomb Serbia? How did Kosovo get created as a "breakaway" republic, but Donbas and Crimea can't? Why is Taiwan encouraged to break from China, but people who prefer to be ruled by Russia can't break away? How many people have died over the past few years in the civil war in Libya that we created when we overthrew Khaddafy? I will give you a hint, it's tens of thousands.
Jimmy Carter's National Security Adviser, Mika's dad, created Al Qaeda in Afghanistan to give the Ruskies agita, because he hates them. Barrack Obama's CIA created ISIS, to give us a pretext to invade Syria. This is not controversial, the documents were leaked.
This is the rules based order.
All of this would have been fine, but then they started turning their apparatus for creating coups and color revolutions to the United States. What Biden's seizure of power was was a "color revolution." Complete with violent mobs, the requisite false flag on J6, to bring the normies along, then remember when they had troops in Washington DC for months? Showed a consciousness of guilt. It was the end of freedom of assembly, except for their bought and paid for street mobs.
so.. Serious Question:
other than CIA bots like Dr We Evil.. Is there ANY THING that WANTS this Ukraine War?
I for one am glad the Nazis got their butts kicked, but then I'm not a super-sophisticated retrogeostrategerist disposed to patronize dead American and allied servicemen.

the video is "fake, but accurate."
"In their generation, in their hour of trial, the Allied forces of D-Day did their duty. Now the question for us is, in our hour of trial, will we do ours?"
What is Mr. Biden talking about? As far as I know, it is Trump who was in his hour of trial, freezing to death, put there by him, the putative president of the United States.
And who, which group does he label as Nazis?
Has a president of the USA ever spoken that way about a group of people or a person?
The only one, off the top of my head, was HW Bush talking about Sadam Hussein, he said Sadam was "Hitler revisited".
Sadam is dead; who's Mr. Biden's Hitler now?
It cost nothing whatsoever to tell Ukraine even as late as 2014 that they would never be a member of NATO and that they would never be able to purchase weapons from the western alliance. The entirety of the Iron Curtain countries minus East Germany should have been told right from the start that NATO's borders would only be adjusted to include East Germany as a part of Germany proper. However, NATO kept creeping eastward and here we are today- Ukraine is being pulverized while losing a generation of young men to battle casualties and emigration to escape death at the front lines. The leaders in the west that helped cause this should be strung up from lampposts.
Maybe I'm reading too much into what Biden said. However, if Mr. Biden soiled that solemn occasion over there with his feverish political rhetoric, we need to find out. Because, if it is what I think it is, it needs to be condemned.
PresiDepends Biden…
God bless all the WWII vets, their families and our military men and women wherever stationed.
As someone mentioned upthread, we have two holidays to remember those who fought for our country: Memorial Day and Veterans
Other Note: As usual some on the "Intertubes" like to react to what they think was written, rather than what was written. I attacked the endless rememberances of D-Day by our MSM and high level Pols, not the veterans themselves.
I'll try again. Do ever wonder why its always D-Day? Why isnt Biden going to Pearl Harbor on December 7th? Why isn't he going to Korea in September to celeberate Inchon one of the most brilliant military operations in US History? Why isn't the media talking about the heroes of the Bataan Death march or Corrigedor? Or going on about heroes of the Meuse Argonne where 20,000 Americans died in less than 7 weeks?
Nope its just D-Day that sets the media and our pols hearts ablaze. And i'm tired of celebrating that battle and even more tired of the endless "Its Hitler all over again we need to go to war". That horse had been beaten into dust.
Its interesting that many of the same people who are constantly squawking about "We need to stop Country X, its hitler all over again" are the same people who were constantly saying " You cant attack McCain - he's a war hero"
Somehow the patriotism of our servicemen is being used to get us into more useless wars.

Arrival video shows our president being lost as soon as he exits the SUV and the first thing he says to Macron is “My handlers tell me I need to be the first to leave.” Then Biden reaches out to grab Macron as he goes wobbly even with Jill gripping his other arm.
So yeah the “bomb drop” video was deceptively edited but what about all the other actual bizarre behavior? There’s no evidence Biden didn’t soil his diaper.
The commenter who calls himself 'Achilles' thinks he can call other people "coward" when he can't even summon up the moderate quantity of guts, honesty, and decency it requires to retract his stupid and vicious slur. Instead he doubles down by restating it:
"There are no good guys anywhere. There is just killing. Sometimes it needs to happen but do not lie to yourself or anyone. You kill and maim and destroy."
Sometimes the people you are killing, maiming, and destroying are literal Nazis! The fact is that the men who landed in Normandy on D-Day were "the good guys" in that conflict, and only a moron could deny that. And 'Achilles' chose the 80th anniversary of D-Day to clearly imply that Eisenhower and the men under him were worse than the Nazis they were fighting.
He could have withdrawn that slur with an explanation of what he (supposedly) really meant, but instead he doubled down and added an obscenity and a stupid insult. If he's looking for a "fucking coward", all he has to do is look in a mirror.
"And was D-day neccesssary? Churchill didn't think so."
Stalin demanded the allies open a second front in Europe in return for his cooperation after the war. Hence Normandy.

"No, Russia illegally invaded Ukraine, just like Nazi Germany illegally invaded Czechoslovakia, Poland, Russia, the Benelux, France... and other countries as well in World War II. And for the same reason -- conquest. Indeed, Russian forces have also committed the same atrocities as Nazi forces as well, including many war crimes and crimes against humanity. The EU and NATO are not the invaders."
Russia actually invaded in 2014, but let's ignore that for now.
One abysmally corupt dictator invades the territory of another abysmally corupt dictator and I'm supposed to chose sides?
Not worth my time. Not worth a penny of my treasure. You, however, are free to join up on either side and play hero.
Inga and others soiling their diapers in their increasingly desperate attempts to make Biden look competent. Good luck with that, Inga.
Rusty (8:57am):
Don't try to make Ukraine and Russia morally equivalent.
Putin is far worse than just an "abysmally corrupt dictator": he's a brutal, murderous, and genocidal, corrupt dictator. He even feels free to murder people outside Russia, for instance with polonium and nerve gas in the U.K.
And Ukraine was (like every other post-Soviet state) very corrupt at independence, but has (like all the rest) been getting steadily less so with time and effort, while Russia grows ever more corrupt. And independent Ukraine has never been a dictatorship. Ironically, the closest it's come to dictatorship was under Yanukovych, whom all the Ukraine-haters here keep telling us was "freely elected" and therefore should not have been removed in the Maidan Revolution. They conveniently forget that Hitler, Mussolini, Mugabe, and Arafat, among others, were freely elected, but still turned into dictators, while Nixon was removed from office before his term ended, without that making the U.S. a dictatorship.
Yanukovych won election in 2010 by 3.5%, but his opponent refused to concede, alleging gross ballot-box stuffing in pro-Y areas. Her charge is plausible: he had in fact been caught red-handed trying to steal the previous election in 2004, which led to the Orange Revolution, a recount with international observers, and a decisive loss for him when people were watching. (The fact that one city in his area registered half a million new voters in the 3 weeks between the election and the runoff was just one clue that he cheated in 2004.) Did he do so more carefully in 2010? I don't know, but I do know he locked up his opponent on bogus charges for his entire term. Yes, what Trump joked about doing to Hillary, what Biden is trying to do to Trump, Yanukovych actually did to Tymoshenko.
He also packed the Supreme Court and got them to expand his powers, looted billions from Ukrainian companies, betrayed his nation to Putin, and slaughtered citizens who peacefully demonstrated against him. But some here still pretend the massive popular uprising against him was a CIA coup! He's still hanging around in Russia hoping Putin will make him his puppet gauleiter in Ukraine, proving that he is (and probably always was) a traitor and Soviet agent.
Of course, it doesn't matter whether Yanukovych was a dictator: the fact is that neither of Putin's invasions was an attack on a dictatorship. Your moral equivalence is a case of 3 = 2.
Let's be bluntly honest. Womens are the new Jews in Islamacized Europe. Yes, it is just like the lead-up to WWII. Retriction on safe passage, ordinary lifestyles and subjugation to coordinated public humiliation and attack. If NATO wants our help, first they must deport the Muslims.
And feminists here can take their place if they believe what they say.
Dr. Weevil: you're a shocking ignoramous regarding Nixon.
